The case design is absolutely my style! It's so hydrating and the adherence is outstanding. The pink base gives a radiant look. Usually, moisturizing cushions tend to have poor staying power, but this one's longevity is perfect! It's a bit large to carry in a mini bag, but I still make sure to bring it along because it's so beautiful. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 17, 2022
This cushion is a game-changer! It applies evenly in a thin, hydrating layer with excellent adherence to the skin. It beautifully evens out my complexion, covering redness and uneven skin tone while giving a radiant yet subtle glow. I'm amazed at how flawlessly it enhances my skin's appearance. Despite being lightweight, it offers surprisingly good coverage - absolutely fantastic! The puff is delightfully bouncy and firm, adding to the satisfaction. The staying power is decent, and it doesn't transfer much to masks. This cushion hydrates without feeling heavy, smoothing out skin texture and brightening the complexion. It's definitely earning the top spot in my heart! As someone with dry skin, I found the longevity could be better. By afternoon, it was noticeably fading. Other than that, it was pretty good. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 27, 2021
My skin is combination type, either extremely dry or oily. First off, the case is so pretty it'll make you go 'Wow, what's this?' at first glance. Secondly, I prefer moisturizing cushions over matte ones, and this one is truly hydrating. Third, while most hydrating products lack coverage, this one isn't completely sheer if you apply it over a good base. Fourth, hydrating products often transfer onto masks without powder, but even though I use powder with matte cushions too, this one doesn't transfer excessively. Lastly, I love moisturizing cushions and don't have many blemishes! If you want a beautiful cushion that's a bit larger, I highly recommend this! Being a hydrating cushion, it has less coverage compared to matte ones. The square-shaped case is larger than expected and doesn't fit well in makeup pouches. Not recommended if you're looking for a product that doesn't transfer onto masks at all. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
When I first saw it, the angular case with its sleek brand logo was incredibly attractive. The design is truly eye-catching at first glance. The cushion inside had a firm texture. The protective film inside had an interesting twist-off mechanism, which was honestly quite fun to open. After applying it for the first time, I noticed that despite my yellowish skin tone, it gave me a pinkish glow that instantly brightened my complexion. I was concerned about its longevity since I heard it might lack coverage due to its moisturizing properties. However, while it felt hydrating at first, it gradually set to a matte finish, providing impressive staying power. Even after going out at 11 AM and returning around 5-6 PM, there was no noticeable breakdown. With masks being essential these days, it barely transferred onto the mask. Although I was worried about blemishes due to some potentially problematic ingredients listed on Hwahae, my skin was fine even after 6-7 hours of wear. It performed well in photos too. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I initially thought it was fine when it felt moisturizing. However, as time passed and it became more matte, I realized it might be challenging for those with dry skin. Also, if you don't properly hydrate your face beforehand, it might not last as long. Since we wear masks, you tend to smell your makeup, and this has a slightly headache-inducing scent - it's subtle but somewhat strong. I wish the fragrance was less noticeable. The firm cushion made it a bit difficult to cover detailed areas like around the nose. While the firm cushion does allow for buildable coverage, it's not ideal for precise application. Even with a light touch, quite a bit of product comes out, so I'd recommend pressing very gently to get just the right amount. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
Since I have fair skin with cool undertones, I chose shade 21. The case feels luxurious, and opening it reminds me of popping open a can - quite different from other cushions! My skin is oily but dehydrated, and combination type, so my cheeks tend to get very dry in winter. When applied, this cushion creates a radiant look without feeling heavy, and the coverage is surprisingly good. It feels hydrating and adheres well to the skin, which I love. I'll definitely repurchase after I finish this one. Even with the current COVID situation limiting my time outside and the dry winter air, I haven't experienced any severe transfer onto my mask. The only downside is that the ingredients list could be a bit better, but I haven't experienced any blemishes from using it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
The case looks so luxurious! I have combination to dry skin. Even in dry weather, it kept my skin hydrated and not feeling parched. I really like that there's a cushion amount adjuster on the back of the lid. As some others have mentioned, I also found the scent a bit off-putting. If I wasn't wearing a mask, I probably wouldn't have noticed the smell as much. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
Design First off, the cushion design is absolutely gorgeous! The angular case is unique and totally won me over. Radiance and Hydration I love a bright, radiant look, so I went for shade 21. With its pink base, it gives a luminous complexion while adhering to the skin with a dewy finish. In winter, I tend to reach for cushions like the Aqua Skin Fit that apply smoothly and offer a glossy finish, rather than matte foundations. It's perfect for use in this cold weather without causing any dryness. Design It's both a pro and a con. Compared to round cushions, it takes up more space, making it a bit too large for my everyday makeup pouch. Shade and Oxidation Shade 21 is whiter than expected, and applying too much can make it look cakey, so controlling the amount is crucial. Also, while it starts off with a pretty pink tone, it oxidizes to an ashy color over time. Coverage and Longevity The coverage is somewhat lacking. This seems unavoidable with hydrating foundations. If you want to conceal blemishes or dark spots, a concealer is a must. Due to the low coverage, the longevity suffers as well. By evening, it's almost half worn off. Transfer to Mask It tends to transfer onto masks quite easily. Setting powder is essential as the final step in your makeup routine. For best results, carefully conceal any blemishes or dark spots with a concealer, then apply a thin layer of the cushion, and finish with a setting powder. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
True to its name 'Aqua Fit', this product was wonderfully hydrating, both during and after application. It left a subtle glow that gave my skin a luxurious look. The color is a pink-based ivory that brightens the complexion beautifully. I usually use Clio's luminous cushion, and this one has a slightly more matte pink-beige tone, which I didn't mind. There was hardly any darkening or pore emphasis afterwards, making it a perfect match for my skin. The coverage isn't very strong, so it might not suit those needing more concealment. Also, I found it uniquely challenging to control the amount of product. Applying too much resulted in an oddly matte appearance, and the product itself felt a bit heavy on the skin, making makeup application tricky. However, despite the matte look, it doesn't feel drying. The surface may appear matte, but underneath, the skin feels hydrated. It's best to minimize your base makeup with this product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2021
It stays moisturizing and barely breaks down even after hours. I didn't need to touch up except for my nose area during two weeks at work! It doesn't seem to cover blemishes well. While it doesn't break down, I feel a bit of dryness, probably because my skin is naturally dry. I've applied 'Jung Saem Mool Nueu Cushion Fair Life' on my left arm and 'Harper's Bazaar Aqua Skin Fit Cushion' on the other. Use this as a reference for color selection. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 24, 2021
I received this as part of The Hwahae Testers program, but I'll be honest in my review. I'd like to give it 3.5 stars, but since that's not an option, I'm going with 4. For context, I have huge pores, dry skin, and I'm a winter cool tone. Color: The pink undertone of this foundation gives a radiant look. If you don't have visible pores or blemishes, you'll likely love how lightweight it feels. Compared to my Estée Lauder Futurist in Porcelain, this one appears a bit brighter. Hydration: It's moisturizing and doesn't cause any tightness. Adherence: Although it's a cushion, the brush works better. I recommend applying with the brush first, then patting with the puff. If done correctly, you'll get a beautiful glow. However, if you dip too much and pat heavily, it can emphasize pores. It might have a tendency to slide around. The coverage is a bit lacking. It's so sheer that even freckles slightly show through. Being a hydrating foundation, it doesn't feel heavy, but the trade-off is less coverage. Pore coverage: Even after applying Benefit's primer, it doesn't completely conceal pores. It seems a matte foundation might be necessary for perfect pore coverage. If you don't control the amount well, you might end up looking like volcanic rock. Even with primer, the foundation can sink into pores, making them more noticeable. However, with proper application, you can achieve a light, translucent makeup look. I'd recommend this for light makeup in the current mask-wearing situation, especially in dry and cold weather. Use the brush! Brush against the direction of peach fuzz, then finish with the puff. Pore-conscious folks, remember: avoid using just the puff. The last photo with the purple outfit shows how it looks after 4 hours of wear without touch-ups.
