The baby's skin was quite dry from birth. It was less so in the summer, but from fall through winter and spring, it was always dry unless I applied lotion or a very thick cream. That's when I came across this imported Dove Beauty Bar, which I heard many atopic babies use. To start with, I'm very satisfied - it's so gentle. The gentleness means that when I bathe the baby with this beauty bar, the dryness is noticeably reduced. Even right after bathing, the skin doesn't feel as dry, which is great. The fragrance-free bar also doesn't melt away quickly, so I was able to use it for quite a long time.
Cons
There really wasn't anything disappointing. If anything, the simple packaging with just the soap bar in a cardboard box was good for the environment. The soap's efficacy was also good. The only thing to note is that if you use it in the summer, the baby may sweat a lot, which could lead to a musty smell, so keep that in mind when purchasing.

Using it in a soap net helps the lather form well and prevents the bar from melting too quickly. It's much better than just keeping the bar in a soap dish. I'd recommend trying that!
