While I might not be using it correctly, when I use it as shampoo alone, it feels a bit oily and hard to rinse out. Adding conditioner afterwards makes it better.
ConsIt doesn't suit my face. It causes redness and what looks like dermatitis. Previously, the Homeplus version caused reactions on my body too, but the US version seems to only affect my face. I think some ingredient doesn't agree with me, but I'm not sure which one. I really wish it worked well for me so I could just use this one product.
TipI'm not sure if I'm using it wrong, but when I use it as shampoo alone, it feels a bit oily and hard to rinse out. Adding conditioner afterwards makes it better. (If you open up your pores with warm water before shampooing, massage it in, and then rinse thoroughly, it might be less of an issue.)

(I thought I bought the US one, but it turned out to be Canadian.) It lathers well, making it easy to use. I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, and I was thrilled that my scalp didn't itch right after washing. (Many pH-balanced shampoos I've tried still made my scalp itchy. I believe this beauty bar or skin bar is also pH-balanced, but it seems to cleanse more effectively.) Being fragrance-free, my hair has no scent after washing. (Exactly what I wanted!) As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I was concerned about scalp odor, so I'm pleased that it eliminates any smell.
ConsIt's a bit slippery, so you need to rinse thoroughly with water. After purchasing, I discovered it contains cocamidopropyl betaine. This ingredient can potentially cause allergies, and while it's said to be fine in rinse-off products, it doesn't seem to agree with me. I get blemishes in places I didn't have them before after using this... (Still, I alternate it with other shampoos because it helps reduce scalp odor.) It's not easily available and needs to be purchased through international shipping. Note: I tried it on my body once, and while it was fine during use, my skin condition worsened a few days later with rashes on my hands. So I can't use it freely and only use it for washing my hair. Though this may not be solely due to this product.
TipI recommend alternating this with other products rather than using it exclusively for every wash. It lathers well on its own, but using a foaming net can create an even richer lather. A multi-layered net works better than a single-layer one for creating foam. (I haven't tried natural fiber nets due to the humidity in my bathroom.) For those concerned about hand eczema like me, you can wash your hair without getting your hands wet by using nitrile gloves secured with rubber bands.

Well, I can only say I think it's improving things. Just a thought, really.
ConsUse it if it works for you. If your face becomes red or you notice hair thinning compared to before, stop using it immediately.

The scent isn't great, but it's almost unscented after rinsing. My dry skin felt much softer after using this. I've been using it since May, so maybe it's just the summer effect. I used this soap for shampoo and shower, and it was fine from May to early July. However, my oily-skinned husband started getting some skin issues, so he switched to Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree soap. I continued using Dove for showering and shampooing.
ConsI originally used a different shampoo bar, but I bought this because it was cheaper and I wanted to lather up and get squeaky clean. Even though I have slightly oily skin, by midsummer my hair felt sticky and my scalp felt congested. So I switched to a supermarket shampoo I had at home. After about 4 months of use, I noticed dandruff. Oh my... I'm 40 years old and this is the first time I've ever had dandruff. I'm shocked. I guess there's no one-size-fits-all product.
TipFor soaps that tend to get mushy, a magnetic soap holder seems to work best. If you position the holder below and the soap on top, it won't fall and it's convenient to use.

It's not sold in Korea; you have to order it from overseas. I've been using it because it suits my skin well.
ConsOccasionally, I get a sun allergy, especially where my mask touches my face. I think it might be due to the soap. I wish they'd sell it in Korea too. This beauty bar, priced at about $10 for 8, is different from what many YouTubers talk about, everyone.
TipUsing a foam net creates too much lather, which isn't good for your skin. Remember to use everything in moderation.

The scent is pleasant too. It's also larger in size compared to most natural soaps available in stores.
ConsWhile you can usually cleanse with regular soap in one go, with this soap you need to wash two or three times and it still feels insufficient. The cleansing effectiveness seems to be quite low. I tried washing my hair with it once and experienced extreme itching. I won't be repurchasing.

As a former Canadian resident, our whole family uses this product for everything except our faces. We use different products for our faces depending on skin type, but I highly recommend this soap for all other areas.
ConsI used Dove, which is pH-neutral, for morning cleansing a few times, but I felt like it increased my whiteheads. I wouldn't recommend it for daily use.
TipI noticed that the overseas version differs from the Korean one. I wish they would standardize everything... Is it too idealistic to hope that companies would consider the environment and people's well-being by regulating ingredients? Make sure to carefully check the full list of ingredients before purchasing!

When I wash my hair, it doesn't itch. I tend to leave shampoo on for a while before rinsing, and I've noticed some dandruff might appear when I do this (though this seems to happen with other shampoos too).
ConsStearic acid? It seems this ingredient doesn't agree with my skin (dry and super sensitive skin). The soap hardens quickly. Including this soap, I've tried two products containing stearic acid, and they seem to clog my pores, leading to excess oil production and the appearance of small blemishes. I'm not sure if it's because of this ingredient, but my skin also feels itchy.
TipPurchasing method: Direct purchase from Coupang (Produced in: USA). If you're looking for a tip, and you're unsure where to place the soap dish, I recommend the soap net from D*S. If I remember correctly, someone posted a photo of it in a review for the white version of this brand's bar. You can refer to that.

It lathers well, and I even used it as a shampoo - my hair became incredibly soft! My toddler used it too.
ConsThe very next day, small hives appeared on my back. Even though it's recommended by doctors... I guess it didn't suit my daughter. We're planning to switch to Noni soap or Goong Jung Bi Cheop Hyo soap. We've used Noni soap before and it was fine...
TipCheck the country of manufacture. Apparently, most of the ones sold in Korea are made in Vietnam.
