(I thought I bought the US one, but it turned out to be Canadian.) It lathers well, making it easy to use. I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, and I was thrilled that my scalp didn't itch right after washing. (Many pH-balanced shampoos I've tried still made my scalp itchy. I believe this beauty bar or skin bar is also pH-balanced, but it seems to cleanse more effectively.) Being fragrance-free, my hair has no scent after washing. (Exactly what I wanted!) As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I was concerned about scalp odor, so I'm pleased that it eliminates any smell.
ConsIt's a bit slippery, so you need to rinse thoroughly with water. After purchasing, I discovered it contains cocamidopropyl betaine. This ingredient can potentially cause allergies, and while it's said to be fine in rinse-off products, it doesn't seem to agree with me. I get blemishes in places I didn't have them before after using this... (Still, I alternate it with other shampoos because it helps reduce scalp odor.) It's not easily available and needs to be purchased through international shipping. Note: I tried it on my body once, and while it was fine during use, my skin condition worsened a few days later with rashes on my hands. So I can't use it freely and only use it for washing my hair. Though this may not be solely due to this product.
TipI recommend alternating this with other products rather than using it exclusively for every wash. It lathers well on its own, but using a foaming net can create an even richer lather. A multi-layered net works better than a single-layer one for creating foam. (I haven't tried natural fiber nets due to the humidity in my bathroom.) For those concerned about hand eczema like me, you can wash your hair without getting your hands wet by using nitrile gloves secured with rubber bands.

Using this in the shower leaves you feeling super hydrated. You can use it as an all-in-one product from head to toe! Overall, it's similar to other low pH cleansers, but the value for money is amazing. I've heard the American version has slightly better ingredients than the German one.
ConsWhen washing your hair, it's not as silky smooth or as foamy as regular shampoo. There are concerns it might clog scalp pores. That worries me, so I still use shampoo for a deep cleanse twice a week.
TipIf you use a plastic foam net, you can create really rich, abundant lather.

It's mildly acidic, which seems to make it moisturizing. I love that it's an all-in-one product that can be used on the entire body.
ConsWhen using it on your hair, don't expect it to give you silky smooth locks like a shampoo would. It feels a bit stiff when rinsing out. However, it did help calm down my scalp issues.

It's even recommended by doctors for people with atopic dermatitis. For the face: I bought this for my face since I couldn't find a suitable mild acidic foam cleanser. It's fragrance-free with simple ingredients. Using a foam net creates lots of lather, which is great. After use, my skin feels moisturized and smooth, giving the impression that my skin barrier is being protected. For hair: I read that it's also good for hair, so I tried it for a month. When washing your hair, it can become stiff, so be careful not to pull too hard! Once dry, my hair became softer. However, my hair did become a bit dry, causing static electricity - consider using conditioner or a treatment. About two days after washing, my scalp started to get slightly oily - seems to have good cleansing power. After a month of use, I noticed some white flakes on my scalp, probably dry skin cells. Purchased for international shipping. Packaging is eco-friendly, just a paper box without plastic wrapping.
ConsI wish they would remove the cocamide ingredients. I'm hoping for even milder ingredients. When I washed with water in the morning and used Dove every evening, my skin felt a bit dry. This might be because I have dry, atopic-prone skin. Still, it's better than other mild acidic foam cleansers, so I'm sticking with it for now.
TipTry buying a foam net from Daiso to use with this product. It creates great lather and works well.

As someone with sensitive skin that's vulnerable to acids like AHAs and citric acid, even slightly acidic products can cause dermatitis with long-term use. But washing with Dove soap doesn't bother my skin, even for morning cleansing. They say alkaline soap cleansing is bad, but I guess it depends on the person. For skin that's sensitive to acids, I recommend trying this affordable option.
ConsIt would be nice if it was available domestically. It's a bit disappointing that you have to order it from overseas.
TipLather in hands -> Apply to forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin like you're applying skincare -> Gently massage with fingers on the area between eyebrows, nose (I pay extra attention to my chin due to mask-related skin issues) -> Rinse. That's it!

I love that it's fragrance-free, and its solid texture prevents it from melting away quickly. Using this white, creamy bar feels so refreshing! After use, my skin doesn't feel overly dry, and it lathers well. It's an all-in-one product that I use on both my face and body.
ConsI tried using it as a shampoo substitute, and while the feel wasn't bad, it seemed to make my hair color fade much faster. I originally intended to use it as an all-in-one product, but now I'm sticking to regular shampoo for my hair. If you don't have colored hair, it might work well as a shampoo.
TipGive it a try as an all-in-one product!

The best part? It's super affordable, which is its biggest advantage.
ConsIt turns mushy pretty quickly... It's also too slippery, so I have to keep rinsing it off with water.

I tested it with litmus paper, and it indeed showed a mildly acidic pH. My family and I use it all over our bodies, and we're quite satisfied.
ConsA characteristic of Dove soap is that it dissolves easily in water. Also, be careful - it really stings if it gets in your eyes!
TipWhen storing the soap, place it on top of several rubber bands wrapped around your soap dish. This helps prevent the bar from sitting in water and dissolving too quickly!

Dove made a huge difference. At one point, I switched to a facial yogurt cleanser (supposedly pH-balanced) and my skin freaked out. I thought it might be an adjustment period and used it for about a month, but there was no improvement. Went back to Dove and my skin improved again.
ConsHmm... it can be a bit drying? But I think that's because I didn't apply any skincare products after cleansing.
TipUsing it with a foam net creates a rich, creamy lather.
