It has great cleansing power when washing my hair. It's not as stiff as regular soap, so my long, shoulder-length hair and my daughter's long hair can be washed from root to tip. As it's a soap, it's easier to rinse out than shampoo, and my hair definitely gets less oily a day after washing compared to regular shampoo. When washing my face and body, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and dry after rinsing, but rather slightly soft. And I don't need to apply moisturizer right away, as my face doesn't feel very tight.
ConsI don't have any complaints!!! Ah, there is one! The large supermarkets near my house have it sold out, and even online, it's only available through direct imports, not domestic websites. But I kept getting skin troubles and my baby's head developed yellow flakes. Later, it progressed into eczema, so I went to the hospital, got medication, and applied it, but the improvement was only temporary and it didn't get better. So I first switched to an organic cleanser. But after using it once, my baby's hair became even drier, their scalp turned white and flaky, and they scratched their head even more severely, causing wounds. They also became irritable and couldn't sleep well. When I told the pediatrician, they recommended using a neutral soap and suggested Dove soap. At first, I bought the Dove pink bar from the local mart, and it improved a lot compared to the cleansing products. But their head was still itchy and they would scratch it occasionally. So I checked the ingredients on Hwahae and found that the ingredients of the US original product and the Korean product were different. So I directly purchased the Dove Sensitive bar made in the USA through overseas direct purchase. I've used it twice so far, and as soon as I started using it, my baby stopped scratching their head at all, their skin is no longer dry, and I can see their eczema improving. Even after bathing, there's still some oil left on their skin, so their skin seems well-moisturized. When I wash their hair, it's not stiff but soft like after using a conditioner. I'm very satisfied.
ConsIt doesn't have any scent, so those who like fragrance may be disappointed. However, based on my experience, I would recommend this Sensitive bar to those with sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Fragrances seem to cause more skin troubles and allergies.
