At least I don't have to worry about wasting it if it doesn't work out there.
ConsSome say oily skin types should avoid it, while others claim it cleared all their blemishes. With such mixed reviews, I decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, I fall into the former category, and it completely wrecked my already troubled skin...

Being a pH-balanced soap, it causes less irritation 2. Noticeably less dryness after showering
Cons1. Clogged pores leading to blemishes 2. Itchiness due to ineffective removal of impurities

(I thought I bought the US one, but it turned out to be Canadian.) It lathers well, making it easy to use. I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, and I was thrilled that my scalp didn't itch right after washing. (Many pH-balanced shampoos I've tried still made my scalp itchy. I believe this beauty bar or skin bar is also pH-balanced, but it seems to cleanse more effectively.) Being fragrance-free, my hair has no scent after washing. (Exactly what I wanted!) As someone with seborrheic dermatitis, I was concerned about scalp odor, so I'm pleased that it eliminates any smell.
ConsIt's a bit slippery, so you need to rinse thoroughly with water. After purchasing, I discovered it contains cocamidopropyl betaine. This ingredient can potentially cause allergies, and while it's said to be fine in rinse-off products, it doesn't seem to agree with me. I get blemishes in places I didn't have them before after using this... (Still, I alternate it with other shampoos because it helps reduce scalp odor.) It's not easily available and needs to be purchased through international shipping. Note: I tried it on my body once, and while it was fine during use, my skin condition worsened a few days later with rashes on my hands. So I can't use it freely and only use it for washing my hair. Though this may not be solely due to this product.
TipI recommend alternating this with other products rather than using it exclusively for every wash. It lathers well on its own, but using a foaming net can create an even richer lather. A multi-layered net works better than a single-layer one for creating foam. (I haven't tried natural fiber nets due to the humidity in my bathroom.) For those concerned about hand eczema like me, you can wash your hair without getting your hands wet by using nitrile gloves secured with rubber bands.

The scent isn't great, but it's almost unscented after rinsing. My dry skin felt much softer after using this. I've been using it since May, so maybe it's just the summer effect. I used this soap for shampoo and shower, and it was fine from May to early July. However, my oily-skinned husband started getting some skin issues, so he switched to Dr. Bronner's Tea Tree soap. I continued using Dove for showering and shampooing.
ConsI originally used a different shampoo bar, but I bought this because it was cheaper and I wanted to lather up and get squeaky clean. Even though I have slightly oily skin, by midsummer my hair felt sticky and my scalp felt congested. So I switched to a supermarket shampoo I had at home. After about 4 months of use, I noticed dandruff. Oh my... I'm 40 years old and this is the first time I've ever had dandruff. I'm shocked. I guess there's no one-size-fits-all product.
TipFor soaps that tend to get mushy, a magnetic soap holder seems to work best. If you position the holder below and the soap on top, it won't fall and it's convenient to use.

Decent cleansing effectiveness 2. Skin feels refreshingly clean after rinsing off the foam
ConsCons: 1. I bought this after reading it's good for oily skin, but it didn't work for my body 2. It caused a lot of blemishes to appear

ConsAfter not washing my hair for 2 days, my usually dry scalp became severely itchy and the scalp inflammation worsened. I suspect I might have seborrheic dermatitis. Moreover, despite having dry skin and rarely getting acne, I'm now experiencing continuous breakouts along my hairline from forehead to chin, and it's getting worse. I've tried both German and American versions purchased directly, but the result is the same. I think I'll have to resort to using regular hand soap instead.

I plan to keep using it in the future.
ConsI tried it as a facial cleanser, but it seemed to cause blemishes, so I stopped using it.

It's gentle enough for body use, and I haven't experienced any dead skin cells buildup throughout winter. I plan to continue using it.
ConsAs a facial cleanser, it was a bit disappointing as it caused blemishes and left my skin feeling quite dry.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsInitially, I thought it was great. I bought the large size based on a YouTuber's recommendation, desperately hoping it would help with my seborrheic dermatitis. I'll make sure to wash my hands and feet well. Oh, and it's unscented, which can be hit or miss, but I like it.
Cons1) My seborrheic dermatitis got significantly worse. It's so frustrating! My scalp became incredibly itchy, and I developed large pimples bigger than rice grains all over my head. Since the scalp is where skin issues often start, it spread to my forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, neck, chest, and back. It's ridiculous! From the hairline to the crown, if I were to shave my head now, it would probably be a bloody mess. I used the American version and compared ingredients - nothing seemed particularly problematic. However, stearic acid is listed near the top, which can clog pores. Seborrheic dermatitis already involves excess oil production and clogged pores, so this might not be suitable for my condition or severe cases like mine. 2) It weakens the hair. At first, my scalp felt firm and plump after using it as a shampoo and body wash, but that was just an illusion. My hairline and crown area became thinner and limp - even worse than when I used other shampoos with questionable ingredients. My hair looks flat, withered, and sparse. 3) Using this as a body wash leaves my skin feeling extremely tight. I usually never use body lotion, but for the first time ever, I found myself desperately applying a highly moisturizing emulsion. They claim it's a pH-balanced soap that's good for skin health, but if it strips this much moisture, is it really beneficial? I doubt even dish soap would be this harsh. To describe the feeling: 'Imagine using a coin-sized amount of foaming cleanser five times, then drying off with a towel, skipping skincare, and sitting in front of a heater.'
TipAll cosmetic products are made of chemicals, and their suitability varies depending on skin type and individual differences within those types. Some products work well for me, while others don't. Those who find this product suitable can use this as a reference. However, for me, this level of incompatibility just proves that soap is soap. It's unrealistic to expect one product to cover all needs for scalp, hair, face, and body, as each area has different skin types. I fell for that idea. Of course, if I'm in a pinch and need something for an unexpected overnight stay, I might grab this from a convenience store or supermarket after checking the ingredients. But for regular, long-term use, it was the worst choice for my sensitive, blemish-prone skin.
