First off, I have acne-prone combination dehydrated skin! Let me break this down for you: Who should buy this? 1. Those with severe facial redness 2. People with uneven skin tone due to acne scars 3. Anyone looking for a foundation-free option that applies like sunscreen If you fit any of these, this product is for you! I tick all three boxes, so I bought it right away. It was actually recommended to me, and it's that good... (As you can see from the photo, it's well-used. I use it daily!) 1. No need for foundation, just apply like sunscreen. What makes this better than foundation is how incredibly well it neutralizes redness. Your skin looks fairer. After applying this, my friends said I looked unusually pure that day (true story!). I'm obsessed with sun protection, so I apply sunscreen and then this on top. Makes cleansing a bit of a challenge though! 2. You need to control the amount well. If you apply too much, it can look like stage makeup. I'd suggest half a pump for each cheek/forehead area, and one pump for nose and chin. Use a full pump if you want more coverage. 3. It's really good... I've been using it almost daily on weekdays since I bought it (July 10, 2024), and there's still plenty left. Feel free to use it generously! 1. If you apply without exfoliating, it can look flaky. My skin is prone to this, but it really emphasizes dead skin cells. 2. Even with exfoliation... maybe I'm not good at controlling the amount, but after about 8 hours, it tends to separate. Try applying less or make sure you have a solid skincare base. 3. It feels a bit drying. I have oily skin and still feel this way, so those with dry skin might find it quite drying. To really make the most of this, it's best to apply it as a first layer of tone correction before foundation! I usually just wear this alone because I'm too lazy for full makeup, but I'll update my review after trying it with foundation later. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 14, 2024
It covers redness really well. The staying power is great, so it doesn't come off easily. It's quite drying and emphasizes dead skin cells. You need to double cleanse thoroughly when removing it. After using it for a few days, my skin became a bit irritated. If you apply your skincare products carefully following your skin's texture before putting this on, it won't separate. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2023
The absorption is not bad, and the color helps to reduce redness. I had high hopes, but... First of all, it really emphasizes dead skin cells. The staying power is also very poor. I was excited because the color matched my skin tone well, but when I came home after applying it and looked in the mirror, I was shocked! It had all disappeared and was stuck to the dead skin cells. I'm thinking of mixing it with a hydrating moisturizer to see if that helps. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 14, 2023
As someone with oily T-zone and combination dehydrated skin in the U-zone, I loved how this applies with a matte finish and doesn't feel rich. It naturally evens skin tone and effectively covers facial redness. The application is a bit stiff and it tends to clump, so you need to use a puff. It can emphasize dead skin cells. Probably not suitable for those with dry skin. I recommend exfoliating and using a puff for application! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 1, 2023
It works as a sunscreen while also covering redness. It evens skin tone and offers high UV protection. I have fair skin, but this made me look unnaturally pale. It's even more extreme than the white cast from mineral sunscreens. It also accentuates dead skin cells, so I wouldn't use this product just for brightening purposes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 6, 2022
It's fascinating how it changes from green to a beige tone. I was initially concerned about the green being too noticeable, but when I tried it, I was pleased with how it corrected redness and gave a calm, foundation-like finish. While the coverage isn't particularly high, the redness correction evens out the complexion nicely. The texture is a bit thick, and you need to apply it with your hands for it to naturally transform into a beige tone. It didn't cause any blemishes, and thanks to its soothing ingredients, my skin remained calm even after wearing it all day. However, it tends to settle into pores and emphasize dead skin cells a bit, so I'd recommend pairing it with a good exfoliation routine. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2022
It has good coverage. The brightening moisturizer works well, and those who prefer a matte finish will likely enjoy it. Hair sticks to it easily, which is annoying every time the wind blows. It doesn't adhere well, leaving visible marks. When exercising, sweat causes it to wear off only on the forehead. It transfers onto masks like you've applied cushion foundation to them. After 8 hours, it emphasizes pores, making them appear white on the face (I was shocked, as my skin usually holds up well with any product). - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 2, 2022
First off, the coverage is quite decent. Compared to other brightening moisturizers, it noticeably provides more coverage. However, this comes with its own set of trade-offs. I have combination dehydrated skin with excess oil in the T-zone, and this product makes my entire face look cakey. Honestly, if I'm going to look like I'm wearing makeup, I might as well use a foundation or cushion instead. Since I have some blemishes and dry patches, it emphasizes texture and dead skin cells terribly. I feel like I've wasted my money on this. I tried using it for a while, but now it's just gathering dust in a corner of my vanity. I've attempted applying it with a puff, brush, and fingers, but no matter the method, it pills and lifts dead skin cells. I'm not sure if it's an issue with my skincare routine, but I found this product extremely disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a natural-looking brightening moisturizer with coverage. I'd suggest skipping powder with this product. I initially used powder because I didn't want it transferring onto my mask, but given how drying the product already is, adding powder made it worse. After a short while, the product and my skin seemed to separate, making my complexion look awful. It defeats the purpose of going for a no-foundation look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 1, 2022
It works wonders for my extreme redness, really toning down the flushing!! Great coverage while still looking quite natural and applying thinly. It feels moisturizing when you put it on, and the finish is pleasantly matte. Highly recommended for those with severe redness! The amount can be a bit tricky to control, and if you apply it too thickly, it can settle into lines and emphasize whiteheads The photos show before and after application on my forehead (I applied it a bit too thickly on the day I took these photos due to poor amount control). Since it has quite a matte formula, I always mix it with a moisturizing sunscreen and apply just a small amount - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2022
It absorbs well into the skin. When first applied, it effectively covers redness. After 2 hours, my skin becomes extremely dry, dead skin cells are significantly emphasized, and all redness becomes visible. I applied toner, serum, and cream beforehand, but it still made my skin incredibly dry. I didn't even wear a mask after applying it. The dead skin cells are really noticeable. This is only suitable for those with already good skin.
