I've been using this for 3 years now! It's truly a revolutionary product. My skin has everything - redness, acne scars, oily skin, occasional dermatitis, rough texture, and sensitivity... Genetically, I just have really problematic skin. This is a foundation-free product, so I don't need to apply foundation separately, and it matches my complexion perfectly! The staying power is decent too. There's occasional pilling and it doesn't cover pores, but it's not noticeable enough to bother me. Although it has sun protection, I have a bit of a sunscreen obsession, so I apply Goodal sunscreen first. I don't like applying it with my hands, so I use a damp puff to pat it on, and it absorbs beautifully! I think this would be great for those with oily, sensitive skin looking for a foundation-free product. If you want more coverage after applying this, you can layer a thin cushion on top - the skin finish is really beautiful. It doesn't fill in pores, and if you don't have a solid skincare routine, the skin finish won't look pretty. And... even though I always buy it on sale, it still feels a bit expensive. I wish it came in a cushion form like number 3! Try applying this after Goodal sunscreen or a moisturizing sunscreen! If you feel like you need more coverage, you can use concealer, and setting it with powder will give you a flawless finish. If you want to apply it thinly, use a spatula. For more coverage, try patting it on with your fingers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 14, 2024
It covers redness really well. The staying power is great, so it doesn't come off easily. It's quite drying and emphasizes dead skin cells. You need to double cleanse thoroughly when removing it. After using it for a few days, my skin became a bit irritated. If you apply your skincare products carefully following your skin's texture before putting this on, it won't separate. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 18, 2024
Pros: Excellent at neutralizing redness (a true savior for flushed skin). The brightening moisturizer effect is beautifully done. With SPF50, there's no need for a separate sunscreen! Impressive staying power (rarely breaks down). For someone with redness and dullness in their bare face, this one product alone makes me feel like a whole new person! It's become my daily go-to recently. Before and after photos included (showing only this product on my skin, nothing else!) I rarely write reviews, but this product is so good I had to share my thoughts for the first time. Please keep this in stock! Cons: The matte finish can feel a bit drying. It's challenging to apply evenly with fingers. Tip: After completing your skincare routine, try applying a drop of jojoba oil on each cheek before using this brightening moisturizer. It makes a noticeable difference! Also, I found using a Skinfood wedge puff to apply works much better than using my fingers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 12, 2024
A must-have for those with redness-prone skin who prefer a foundation-free look! It transforms from green to beige, and while the coverage is light, it does an excellent job of evening out skin tone and minimizing pores. As for staying power, it naturally melts into the skin over time rather than breaking down in an unsightly way. I always go foundation-free for work, and I'm impressed by how well it evens my complexion and covers pores, so I keep using it. In winter, it can be a bit drying, so you need to build a solid skincare base and apply a hydrating sunscreen to prevent it from looking patchy. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 4, 2023
As someone who's been battling blemishes for about 8 years now... since elementary school, my skin's been on quite a journey. Despite naturally fair skin, I've always had redness and trouble with makeup not sitting right. I stumbled upon this product during the mask-wearing era, and I'm still loving it. For those with fair skin, redness, combination dehydrated skin, or oily skin - I highly recommend this! Among all the brightening moisturizers I've tried, this one's the champion in coverage, brightening power, and staying power. It even does a decent job of concealing pores. You can totally use it alone for a light makeup look or under a mask. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out. After applying this, setting with powder, and heading out, the brightening effect lasts all day - incomparable to other products. Just bring a powder compact for touch-ups, and you're good to go without worrying about your complexion! The ads made it seem like it wouldn't transfer onto masks at all, but that's definitely not the case. Since it's not a white-toned product, there is some transfer... However, it's less noticeable than foundation, and that's really the only downside worth mentioning. Photo 1 - Bare face, 2 - Brightening moisturizer alone, 3 - Brightening moisturizer mixed with foundation. Skin tone looks different due to natural light vs. white lighting, no editing. While using it alone is great, I prefer a more dramatic makeup look. I mix it with foundation and apply with a spatula - it turns every foundation into a beautiful, radiant ivory shade. The creamy texture improves application. I'm obsessed with mixing it in, it's incredible. If you're dealing with redness or dullness, or if your foundation shade isn't quite right or you want to brighten it up, give this mixing technique a try right away! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2023
Brightens complexion effectively and feels lightweight Provides decent coverage Creates a natural, bare-faced look Adheres well to skin with long-lasting wear Can feel slightly drying when applied in winter Leaves white residue between fingerprints when applied by hand (Despite this, I still intend to repurchase!) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 29, 2022
It has amazing sun protection and even helps reduce redness! It doesn't feel too oily, but rather gives a more matte finish. The high adherence means it applies well even on acne-prone skin without floating. It lasts longer than expected and is perfect for school or when you want to go foundation-free! I love that it has great ingredients, so I can use it with confidence, and it didn't cause any blemishes on my skin. The coverage isn't as high as I expected, so think of it more as a green color-correcting base. There was a bit of transfer on the nose area of my mask. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2022
The most satisfying aspect is its green base, which effectively neutralizes redness. As someone prone to flushing and redness, I found pink-based brightening moisturizers made my skin look even redder, which was uncomfortable. This one doesn't do that, which is fantastic. It also has better coverage compared to other brightening moisturizers, which I'm really pleased with. It feels like a brightening moisturizer with a touch of foundation! If you're looking for a product that neutralizes redness, provides coverage, has good staying power, and doesn't transfer, I highly recommend this! In the photo, the green one is the Derma brightening moisturizer, the second is the Numbers:in beige brightening product, and the last is the Plant Base Vitality Brightening Cover Sunscreen. Personally, if you found the Plant Base Peach Sun Cushion lacking in coverage and struggled with redness, I'd recommend this. The Numbers:in and Plant Base Cover Sunscreen felt very similar. While there was a difference in how they looked on the back of my hand, I couldn't tell them apart on my face. If I had to find a difference, it would be in how they apply - the Plant Base product has a slightly thinner consistency. There weren't many downsides, but if I had to mention one, it's that applying it with your hands can be a bit of a hassle. I prefer cushion types because when you spread it with your hands, you have to wash them afterwards. However, it does apply very smoothly even with just your hands! I finish with powder, and then it truly doesn't transfer to my mask at all. It becomes velvety smooth and the staying power increases even more. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 2, 2022
Brightens complexion effectively. Adequately covers facial redness. Good staying power if you don't rub your face too much. Looks natural. Doesn't transfer much to masks. I'm using it regularly and enjoying it. Might be challenging for those with a lot of dead skin cells. When I first used it during a period of heavy flaking, it really emphasized the dead skin... But once my skin cleared up, it became pleasant to use. Applying with fingers is okay, but using those bulk wedge sponges from Olive Young makes a huge difference. It barely transfers to masks this way. I apply both my moisturizer and brightening moisturizer with the sponge. Considering the sponge absorption, I do two thin layers for a smooth, natural application. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 14, 2022
Among all the brightening moisturizers I've used, this one has the best staying power. It's much better at preventing darkening than foundation or cushion compacts. I'm so impressed that I've stocked up on another one and stopped using cushions altogether. It's amazing at concealing redness, so I'll definitely keep using it. I really hope they don't discontinue this product! There's nothing I dislike about it. I just wish it went on sale more often!
