The ingredients are also great, and I find myself reaching for it often.
ConsIt tends to be on the dry side. The product doesn't set well and transfers easily. Even when I apply BB cream and layer other products on top, it still doesn't set properly.

(Note: It doesn't cover blemishes) If you apply a small amount gradually, it naturally evens skin tone. The design is sleek, and the tube type makes it easy to use and control the amount. The size is also convenient for carrying around. Since I prefer a natural and light look, I think I'll be able to use this for quite a while by applying it sparingly.
ConsIt transfers more easily than expected, and there's almost no coverage for blemishes. If you accidentally apply too much, it pills and leaves marks (especially when applied with fingers). To prevent pilling, you need to either let your skincare absorb fully or keep your base routine light before using this. There's a slight tingling sensation right after application, but it subsides after a short while.
TipI found it works best to either apply a thorough skincare routine or keep it light (even when using sunscreen, apply thinly), and then gradually layer this on top with a puff for a natural finish.

True to its BB cream nature, it also provided decent coverage, effectively concealing redness. It evened out my complexion, making my skin look great! If you're going for a natural makeup look and feel hesitant about using foundation or cushion, this would be a fantastic choice!
ConsYou really need to be careful with the amount you use! This shade might be a bit light for me (I'm between 22 and 23), but I almost looked like a ghost! Also, the texture is quite moisturizing, so it tends to transfer onto masks. To address this issue, I'd recommend setting it with some powder at the end!
TipIf you're struggling with application or experiencing pilling, try using a spatula to spread a thin layer, then pat it in with a puff. This method works wonders!

It feels quite hydrating. Color: It has a natural ivory tone. Texture: It applies thinly for a natural look. Packaging: The tube design with a narrow opening is hygienic.
ConsScent: It has a typical cosmetic or ointment smell. Coverage: While not great, I think it's a necessary trade-off for a natural brightening effect. Transfer: It does transfer quite a bit. Settling: It settles slightly into wrinkles and pores, but applying a thin layer helps minimize this.

I applied for The Hwahae Testers thinking of this as a brightening moisturizer/base product. 1. Application I was worried about the texture being a bit thick, but it's more moisturizing than I expected. It feels hydrating when first applied, but becomes more matte after it's fully blended. Those who dislike a greasy finish might appreciate this. 2. Coverage The coverage is a bit on the lighter side. It mainly evens out the skin tone. For those with good skin, this alone could give a very natural look - perfect for that 'no-makeup makeup' style. 3. Scent There's hardly any scent at all. I actually prefer this unscented formula to ones with artificial or ambiguous fragrances.
ConsIt transfers onto masks more than I anticipated. There's noticeable pilling around the nose and oilier areas. The SPF is lower than I expected, making it questionable as a sunscreen substitute. Personally, I'm used to using foundation and find it more convenient. This product falls short in terms of coverage and additional benefits compared to foundation, so I'll likely stick to my usual foundation or cushion. Since I prefer a more glamorous makeup look when I do wear makeup, this product doesn't quite suit my style. However, it could be great for those seeking a natural, 'no-makeup makeup' look.
TipFor those with dry skin, applying it with a damp sponge might work well. I found it looked best when I applied about two layers with a spatula.

Heavy foundations can look cakey, unnatural, or settle into lines. I prefer a natural, even skin tone look. This product gives a natural skin-like finish even when applied quickly, which I love. It also doesn't seem to alter my skin tone as much as other brightening moisturizers. - Easy to apply: As mentioned earlier, it applies smoothly even with rushed application! Just spread it with your hands and pat gently for a natural skin finish. Great for busy mornings. - Natural coverage that evens out skin tone: Compared to my usual bases or brightening moisturizers, this has a more natural color and excels at providing coverage and evening out the complexion. While overly high-coverage products can look artificial or heavy, this offers just the right amount of subtle coverage, making it perfect for everyday, carefree use. - Beautiful skin finish without shine! It applies well with some hydration, but doesn't look greasy and gives a beautiful skin finish! This is based on current weather (fall) + applying over a hydrating, non-greasy sunscreen (Dr.G Blemish Sun Cream).
Cons- It transfers onto masks. As expected with a tinted product, there is noticeable transfer onto masks. I usually only use bases or brightening moisturizers, so I hadn't experienced much transfer before. Noticing it now was a bit bothersome.
Tip- Even though it has UV protection, you can't apply as much of a BB cream or foundation as you would sunscreen, so it's best to apply sunscreen first, then this product! You can also reapply it throughout the day to boost UV protection. - In the photo, the area inside the blue circle is where the product is applied. - To reduce mask transfer, try applying a small amount and patting it in thoroughly.

My skin tends to have a lot of redness, so I can never use pink-based products. However, Papa Recipe's Blemish Balm has absolutely no pink undertones, which I love! It gives me a clear complexion without looking like I'm wearing makeup - would you say it makes me look more fresh-faced? Plus, it feels lightweight and doesn't seem to cause any blemishes!
ConsIt's best not to expect much in terms of coverage, and it does wear off quite quickly, which is a downside. It also transfers onto masks. If your skin isn't in great condition, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells and texture issues, unfortunately.
TipI find that applying it with your hands works best. Other tools seem to absorb too much of the product, leaving you feeling like hardly any has been applied to your face.

(The formula has a yellowish beige tone) - I was concerned about darkening since it's a BB cream, but there was no grayish darkening even in the afternoon! * Overall experience and summary: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 - As someone who prefers sheer, transparent makeup post-pandemic, I love how it subtly brightens my complexion. - Papa Recipe seems to align well with its natural concept. The packaging is all paper, giving a clean impression from the start. - With its natural color payoff and lightweight formula, it's a great daily base product. * Recommended skin type: Those who aren't concerned about pores or blemishes, and those with 'egg white' 🐣 skin
Cons* While pore-clogging isn't severe, it's noticeable up close. (The thin, light formula can't really fill in pores) * As a BB cream, it transfers to masks more than a brightening moisturizer would. * For oily skin types, its staying power decreases in the afternoon. * It doesn't provide blemish coverage.
Tip* I recommend applying small amounts gradually. * The formula is thinner than expected, so applying with a brush or sponge worked well. * Since the SPF isn't high, make sure to apply sunscreen first.

I have combination and sensitive skin. Pros: - Even though my complexion is on the darker side, it looked so natural! This doesn't mean the Blemish Balm is too dark, but rather that it blends in seamlessly!! It made me look about half to one shade brighter, which is great. - Despite my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes even after using it multiple times, which was fantastic. - The way it absorbs is amazing. It's definitely different from foundation - not thick at all and goes on the skin beautifully! Plus, it leaves a nice powdery, semi-matte finish on the skin, which I loved.
ConsCons: - Naturally, it doesn't provide as much coverage as foundation. If you're looking for more coverage, I'd recommend using a concealer along with it! - It does transfer a bit onto masks.

It has a thick consistency but still spreads well. The brightening and UV protection effects are definite pluses. It's perfect for quick trips out, like running errands near home, where you can apply it without much fuss.
ConsIt's not quite robust enough to completely replace your sunscreen and foundation routine. If you apply it generously like sunscreen, it tends to look cakey and emphasizes dead skin cells and texture issues. Using less product reduces both its sun protection and coverage. This makes its purpose feel a bit ambiguous. Also, be aware that it can transfer onto masks.
TipConsidering these factors, I found the best results by layering it over a hydrating base and sunscreen, then lightly patting a small amount with a sponge for a subtle brightening effect that feels comfortable on the skin.
