  I bought this cream after getting a recommendation while looking for a moisturizing option for my two kids - one with atopic dermatitis and the other with severe dry skin. Their skin was so dry that even after applying cream, they would scratch so much that their indoor clothes were always stained with blood. Because of this, I preferred thick creams with high moisture and oil content. I tried this one, and I love that it's fragrance-free with a rich texture that keeps the skin hydrated until the next day after application. The ingredients are great, making it suitable for everyone from infants to adults. Even though my child has sensitive skin, we've been using it without any blemishes. I apply it frequently to prevent their skin from drying out.

  Cons

  While the large size is nice, it seems unhygienic to always have to scoop out the product with your hands when using it.

  Tip

  It was a hygiene concern having to scoop out the product with my hands every time, but I switched to a pump top compatible with Cetaphil cream, which has made it much more hygienic and convenient to use.

  Pros

  Cetaphil is well-known for a reason. I've always been a fan of their emulsion, but since my baby's skin tends to be on the dry side, I've been using their cream in winter and loving it. It's definitely a cream, so the hydration lasts quite long. It's rich but absorbs well. It's great for everyone from young children to adults, and I especially love that it's fragrance-free. If you prefer scented products, you might be a bit disappointed, but as someone who likes unscented skincare, I'm extremely satisfied. While its richness and excellent moisturizing properties might make it a bit uncomfortable to use in summer, I'd highly recommend it for spring, fall, and winter use!

  While it doesn't cause any blemishes when applied to my baby's face, as an adult with combination skin, I sometimes notice a few small bumps when I use it on my face. It's worth keeping this in mind. However, as a body product, it's absolutely perfect and works wonderfully for me.

  Tip

  Since it's a cream, some might find it slightly unhygienic to scoop out with fingers. That's why I bought a separate pump dispenser for it. This way, it's much more convenient and hygienic to use. You might want to consider getting one when you purchase the cream.

  1. Easy to use until the very end While pump types are convenient, I dislike how product stops coming out as you reach the end. That's why I prefer this jar format - it's perfect for getting every last bit. 2. Great hydration and rich texture The rich consistency might make it a bit challenging to apply quickly and smoothly, but its excellent hydrating properties make it suitable for winter and year-round use. 3. Fragrance-free It's great on its own, but also combines well with other products. Strong-scented items often lack hydration, and oils tend to evaporate quickly or transfer to clothes. Mixing this cream with other products makes application easier and allows you to change up the scent based on your mood.

  I don't think the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream has been discontinued...

  Tip

  I recommend mixing this rich, yogurt-like cream with oils or light emulsions that have fragrance for a customized skincare experience.

  I keep this as a winter essential! With my dry skin, I apply it immediately when I feel even slightly parched to prevent itching or dead skin cells from appearing. It's great for maintaining soft skin texture when applied after showering and patting dry. It's thicker and heavier than an emulsion, spreading on quite richly, but despite its dense texture, it absorbs well and quickly sinks into dry skin.

  Cons

  Since it's in a jar, using your hands feels unhygienic, so a spatula is a must. Also, its rich, oily texture might not suit those with oily skin types.

  Tip

  When the winter weather gets really cold, applying a thick layer on your cheeks helps prevent redness and chapping from the harsh winds.

  As someone who has tried all Cetaphil products, I highly recommend this for those who still feel dry after using the body emulsion. It's the next lightest option after the emulsion. If you're looking for even more intense hydration, I suggest moving up to the emulsion. This product has a thick, white texture typical of body products, and true to Cetaphil's style, it's fragrance-free.

  While it's a moisturizing product, it doesn't come with a pump, which might be slightly inconvenient at first. However, once you get used to it, you'll find it more practical.

  I loved that it comes in a large size. When applied, it deeply hydrates and combats inner dryness, which is fantastic. I also appreciated that it doesn't leave an excessively oily residue when I apply it before bed.

  Cons

  The downside is that on the driest parts of my skin, it absorbs rather quickly, so I had to reapply, which was a bit inconvenient.

  If you mix it with something rich like an oil-based balm, tailored to your skin condition, you can maintain hydrated skin even in winter.
