It's slippery, but it has a good grip, so it doesn't easily slide out of your hand unless it gets really small. It has a smooth, stretchy feeling that makes it great for applying to your body before hair removal. It also feels nourishing. I quite like everything about it except the price. After trying other brands' gua sha soaps and being unsatisfied, I was considering repurchasing this one... but it seems the brand itself is no longer in business. - wl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJan 21, 2025
It lathers up really well and lasts for a long time, which is fantastic. Initially, I loved that you could even use it for gua sha massage. Unfortunately, the more you use it, the softer it gets, making it unsuitable for gua sha. Also, it's a bit disappointing that my skin feels slightly dry after use. - mi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 26, 2023
I received this as a gift and couldn't wait to try it! It's so adorably cute. The 'ampoule stone' truly lives up to its name - the slippery, ampoule-like lather feels amazing. Massaging it on my neck and trapezius muscles is so refreshing. Just a little rubbing produces enough foam to wash your whole body! It's quite slippery, so I often drop it. Also, when left in the bathroom after showering, it seems to shrink due to the humidity, limiting its lifespan. Initially, the soap was too heavy for the magnetic wall holder it came with, so it keeps falling off. Since it's a soap-type gua sha tool, it's best to remove any necklaces before use. The soap can scratch against your jewelry. - wo*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 14, 2023
The lather is absolutely incredible. It's enough to cover our guys from head to toe! I can hardly think of any downsides. It would be nice if it came in a variety of scents though. The rich lather is so abundant that the men even use it for shaving. Highly recommended for hormone-filled preteens too! - wl*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2023
The fact that it can be used for gua sha is a plus! Packed with ingredients typically found in brown bottles, it really gives you that feeling of nourishing your body skin! I used to struggle with itchy skin on my back, even when I occasionally applied body cream. But since using this product, my back doesn't itch anymore, even without body cream. Honestly, this has slightly improved my quality of life, and I'm very satisfied. I'm not sure if my previous products weren't suitable, but when I tried a different one, the itching came back immediately. So I've been sticking with the Ampoule Stone! As a body balm, its cleansing effectiveness is decent. It lathers up really well when you use a shower puff! The gua sha effect is refreshing too! The scent is quite strong, so it might be hit or miss for some people. But for someone like me who's not picky about fragrances, I think it's not bad! Plus, the scent lingers in the bathroom for quite a while after showering! It melts easily! While it's firm enough for gua sha use without any issues, it dissolves quickly when exposed to water for long periods! Make sure to store it in a dry place! I've never had it slip out of my hand when gripping it tightly and rubbing, but there are many reviews mentioning that it falls easily during use! When using for gua sha, grip it tightly to reduce slipperiness. Instead of applying it to wet soap, sprinkle some water on your body and rub it in. Be careful not to slip in the bathroom during use as it can get very slippery! - uc***Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 7, 2022
● When I first received it, the scent was so strong upon opening the box that I wondered if I could use it (I don't like strong fragrances). However, when actually using it and afterwards, the scent is subtle and just pleasantly refreshing. It's so healing! ● I absolutely adore this soap I don't sweat much and have very dry skin, so I don't particularly need deep cleansing. I usually use body washes with moisturizing properties, but an ampoule soap? If I had known something like this existed, I would have started using it ages ago. While it's quite pricey for a soap, I'm willing to repurchase. It seems great for use in all seasons except summer, especially in winter. ● Even the lather is rich and creamy, and there was no dryness at all after washing. The nourishing and hydrating effects are fantastic. ● The advertisement claims they use ampoule instead of purified water, but the ingredients list shows that purified water is actually used in larger quantities. ● The gua sha function falls short of expectations due to the slipperiness issue. Currently, it feels pleasantly cooling due to its weight when pressed lightly, but it's so slippery that you have to grip it very tightly. It's tricky to massage with, and I have to be careful. I wonder if it might be easier to massage with hands once it wears down a bit, or if the shape will disappear making it unusable for massage... I'll update this after using it more and seeing how it wears down. ● Using it with a shower puff creates such a rich, creamy lather... It's amazing. ● I hope Ample:N becomes more popular so they can release a wider range of products. If they could release the same soap without the gua sha function, in a round shape, and at a slightly lower price, I would exclusively use this soap. Even at the current price, it's definitely worth buying. - ji*******Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 5, 2022
The smoothness is no joke. At first, I thought it was just a gua sha-shaped soap, but it's incredibly smooth and I love it. Instead of lathering it on your face, just apply it like an ampoule and rinse off. It leaves your skin feeling super hydrated. It's great for gua sha too. It's packed with a seaweed-like sticky ampoule that keeps you moisturized after showering. Even when dried well, it seems to dissolve quite a bit, probably because the product is so smooth. It's such a shame to see it melt away when it's so good. Wet your body, gently massage with the gua sha, then put the soap down. Wet your hands and massage again, and you'll get a nice lather. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 1, 2022
The soap was surprisingly firm, making it great for massage. It's convenient to use for a massage while showering. However, the scent wasn't quite to my liking. It had a sharp, neutral smell reminiscent of laundry soap. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 23, 2022
- The gua sha shape makes it perfect for massaging while showering. I mainly use it on my arms, shoulders, neck, and underarms for pressure point massage. - The scent is subtle, so it doesn't irritate my nose or feel overwhelming. - Using the magnetic holder allows me to conveniently hang it on the wall. - The lather feels rich and creamy, and I found the cleansing effectiveness to be quite good. - Being soap, it can be slippery, causing me to drop it often and damaging its shape. - It seems to wear down quickly, possibly because I'm also using it for massage purposes. - ul*********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedNov 9, 2022
First off, I loved the scent. When it touches water, it becomes incredibly slippery. It feels like seaweed extract? It's gentle on the skin, which is great, but it was too difficult to grip and massage. Still, it's such an intriguing product that I used it until the end. I'm usually too lazy for gua sha, but I liked that I could at least do this while showering. The extreme slipperiness is a downside. Also, it dries in an uneven, bumpy shape. It shrinks quite quickly with use.
