Great for controlling redness. The color is just right, making it perfect for those of us with rosy complexions from enjoying a drink or two. It's excellent at reducing the appearance of flushed skin. My skin completely rebelled against this product. I regret buying it so much. Every time I use it, the next day I wake up with tiny blemishes all over my face. I strongly advise against using this. Am I the only one whose skin reacted so badly? - rs*************Combination SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedNov 5, 2023
I've been using this product daily for a light makeup look when I don't want to apply heavy foundation for work. I think I've gone through about 4-5 bottles so far! While it's a base product without coverage, I layer it thinly with a puff to help with my redness. Not only do I prefer a more natural look, but my friends have also mentioned that my skin looks better than when I use foundation or cushion compacts. It seems that lighter makeup doesn't clog my pores as much, resulting in less skin irritation and fewer blemishes when cleansing. As it's a lightweight base product, the staying power isn't great and it comes off easily with water or sweat. (Personally, I prefer this as it's less burdensome to remove, but some might not like it.) If you apply the Hince base after using skincare products with high oil content, the base can pill a bit. While it feels moisturizing when first applied, it tends to dry out over time. This product doesn't contain irritating ingredients, so you can reapply it multiple times without worry. Although I mentioned that it comes off easily as a downside, you can simply reapply it. It's also convenient to carry around for touch-ups. I recommend using a cushion puff instead of your fingers to apply it. When I used my hands, the heat caused my skin to feel warm and the application wasn't even. Using a cushion puff is highly recommended! While you can't expect much coverage, if you're looking for a base that brightens dull skin and evens out your complexion, I'd suggest trying the Hince Skin Tone-Up Base. - js*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedSep 9, 2023
When I first used this product, I noticed that applying foundation over it caused pilling, similar to when you layer foundation over sunscreen. Sadly, I only used it a couple of times before giving up. Given its price point, I was quite disappointed. However! I recently gave it another shot and realized I hadn't been using it correctly! To make the most of this base, apply it after your skincare routine has slightly dried. Then, gently pat it in with a puff. Once the base has set a bit, apply your foundation. It works like a charm! I've found that my makeup actually lasts longer with this product than without it. Even matte foundations, which tend to break down unattractively over time, seem to hold up better. I'm definitely going to keep using this - what a great find! I bought this product hoping it would cover redness, but it doesn't do a great job at that. On the bright side, it causes less pilling than other brightening moisturizers, so I'll probably continue using it! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 5, 2023
I loved how it naturally brightened my complexion and effectively concealed redness. Unlike other gentle brightening sunscreens I've used before, which were fine to sleep in, this one causes itching and dead skin cells to appear if not removed. - al*****Oily SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 13, 2023
I mix this with my foundation at a ratio of 0.7:1 because the foundation shade is too dark on its own It's not that my makeup doesn't break down... it just fades gracefully. I don't need to touch up, just control the oiliness - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 3, 2023
So far, it's been pretty decent. I'll need to use it more to give a more detailed opinion! With its matte finish, I absolutely wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin. - wk*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 18, 2023
No more unnatural brightening! This product helps even out your complexion while providing a natural-looking glow. Although it has a high SPF, it's not a sunscreen, so I applied it over my sunscreen. I'm glad it wasn't too runny, which would have made it slide off. Instead, it applies smoothly without feeling heavy and absorbs well into the skin. It enhances makeup longevity, covers pores, and keeps skin hydrated. I find myself reaching for it more often than I expected. I highly recommend it! It's inconvenient not knowing how much product is left. I wish the packaging was transparent. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 14, 2023
I can't understand why this isn't more famous! It absorbs into the skin with such a satisfying, bouncy texture. It's amazing at neutralizing redness! After application, it absorbs quickly, making my skin feel incredibly comfortable. These days, I've been using this as a substitute for sunscreen. If you're not a fan of its unique, bouncy texture, you might not enjoy this product. - ae******Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresMay 10, 2023
None. I used to trust and enjoy Hince lipsticks, but this was a letdown. It made my skin look like it had severe dead skin cells and enlarged pores. The foundation didn't blend well, causing pilling and patchy application, leaving my skin feeling parched. The worst part? After removing my makeup, I noticed my skin looked terrible on days I used this. I gave it to my sister, but she returned it, finding it equally awful. Ended up tossing it out. - li*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 7, 2023
It subtly tones down redness. I don't wear makeup often, but when I feel self-conscious about going out bare-faced, I mix it with sunscreen. It slightly brightens the complexion. It doesn't pill when applied, but I wouldn't recommend it for dry skin. The coverage is practically non-existent.
