This cream has a rich texture but absorbs well. When applied, it feels like it coats the skin in a protective layer. It's not greasy or sticky, just nicely hydrating.
ConsI'm prone to blemishes with new skincare products, except for my usual ones. I experienced slight itching and a few small pimples appeared. However, when I reduced the amount of cream I applied, these symptoms disappeared.

What I love most is how it doesn't feel sticky after application. Highly recommended for those with a compromised skin barrier!
ConsIf I had to nitpick, I'd say the initial application can be a bit challenging. But with the included spatula and as you massage it in, it becomes more pliable. Honestly, there's not much to complain about.
TipA little goes a long way - you can cover your entire face with an amount smaller than your fingernail.

Luckily, I was selected by The Hwahae Testers to give it a try! ☆Texture: A rich, buttery cream reminiscent of coconut butter ☆Application: Glides on smoothly with a moisturizing feel ☆Experience: Unlike many hydrating creams that can be heavy or oily and cause blemishes, this one absorbs well without feeling sticky or suffocating. Its thick balm-like consistency is perfect for winter rather than summer. ☆With 6% ceramides and other beneficial ingredients for the skin barrier, you can feel this rich cream gently replenishing moisture as it touches your skin. After using it for about a week, compared to my previous moisturizer (Laneige), this product seems to have reduced redness and made my skin feel smoother. It's so soft! Despite its rich texture, it absorbs surprisingly well, leaving skin feeling hydrated.
Cons-The price is a bit steep... I'm using it sparingly. As we age, our skin barrier thins, so I'd love to keep using this if there are occasional discounts. -If you apply too much at once, it can pill. I recommend layering small amounts. In my experience, using about a fingertip of this cream plus a small dab of hydrating essence is sufficient.
TipRather than applying a large amount at once, it seems to absorb better if you layer small amounts and gently massage it in. Highly recommended for cold, dry winter nights!

After applying, it's as if an extra layer is added to the skin? Although it might be due to slightly slower absorption, I liked how it made my skin feel firm without any stickiness. ☞ Long-lasting Effect The morning after applying it, my skin doesn't feel tight like it sometimes does with other creams. I guess that means it has a long-lasting effect! ☞ Design The clean and simple design, with a dark green color that's not tacky at all, makes it a nice addition to any vanity. ☞ Ingredients I applied to be a Hwahae Tester just based on the ingredients, and what can I say? All the ingredients were perfect for me, with no harmful components! ☞ Convenience Sometimes jar-type creams don't come with a spatula, or if they do, it doesn't fit inside the container. But this one has a thin inner lid where you can place the spatula, and then you can securely close the outer lid. It's so convenient! ☞ Brand Recognition To be honest, I had never heard of the Cutem brand before... It might just be my ignorance, but there weren't many reviews for the brand's other products on the Hwahae app either. However, the product seems quite good, so maybe they just need to advertise more! ☞ Fragrance I don't have any sinus issues, but I could barely detect any scent - it's practically fragrance-free!
Cons☞ Price It's expensive... The regular price is 89,000 won for 50ml, which is quite steep. Even on sale, it would still be pricey. Since it's not a famous brand, it doesn't have name value, so is the cost purely for the ingredients? For someone like me who uses cream generously, it's a bit too expensive. ☞ Application Honestly, I could overlook everything else, but this needs to be fixed. The application is really poor. It feels like trying to spread cold butter on your face until it melts. It's not that it's cold, but the texture is so solid that it's really difficult to apply and spread on the face. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can't use this when I'm in a hurry in the morning - there's no time to wait for it to melt. Also, having to constantly rub it in might cause some irritation. The application alone really lowered my overall rating... I'm considering mixing it with oil. Out of all the creams I've tried, this has the worst texture by far. ☞ Repurchase Intention Everything else is fine, but honestly, I don't want to spend money on this again due to the price and texture. Especially because it's so difficult to apply... If the application isn't improved, I'll be looking for a different cream.
TipJust try to warm it up as much as possible before using it.

The texture is quite thick, likely due to the high concentration of ceramides. This high concentration definitely provides effective hydration, but it feels more moisturizing than sticky. The absorption is a slow, gradual process. This cream seems well-suited for those with dry skin lacking in natural oils. I'm very satisfied with the ingredient list. Scent: There's hardly any noticeable fragrance. Other: The packaging design is clean and simple, which I appreciate.
ConsThe cream's consistency seems to be somewhat affected by room temperature. It's similar to butter in that it melts in warm temperatures and hardens in cold ones. On chilly days, the texture feels particularly firm. Due to its high concentration, the viscosity makes the texture quite thick. While the ingredients are great, the application could be smoother. (If you're looking for a ceramide cream with good ingredients regardless of how it applies, I'd recommend giving this a try.)
TipIt might work well when mixed with a thin emulsion or essence.

It's gradually effective in calming blemishes. It soothes my skin that's become red and sensitive from frequent retinol use lately. Provides just the right amount of hydration For my combination dehydrated skin, it replenishes moisture, and when I apply this, thanks to the stearic acid, it also prevents evaporation while providing adequate hydration without stickiness, in a perfect ratio. It has a moderate oiliness, so not recommended for very oily skin types but suitable for combination to various skin types! Helps improve skin texture Perhaps due to its many ingredients that support the skin barrier, it satisfyingly fills in the texture too. Just make sure to hydrate deeply first, then apply a moderate amount of this (avoid excessive use), and when it feels a bit dry, nourish with squalane oil for that coveted glow
ConsUsing too much can clog pores, leading to milia Application can be a bit tedious and tricky The texture is like butter... hardened butter? It applies well when used with ampoules or hydrating products Otherwise, you might end up irritating your skin from excessive rubbing It's quite expensive
TipBe sure to apply just the right amount. This alone isn't enough for hydration (for combination dehydrated skin). Using it in conjunction with other products allows you to fully utilize this product's benefits!

It's great that it doesn't feel drying on my skin, yet it's not sticky at all. Plus, it's non-irritating, so I didn't experience any blemishes.
ConsThe way it absorbs is a bit challenging... The texture is thick like butter, making it difficult to control the amount and apply smoothly.
TipDue to its thick consistency, I found that applying it right after using plenty of essence, or mixing it with essence, helped improve how it absorbs onto the skin.

The texture is quite firm, reminiscent of butter straight from the fridge. You need to scoop it out with a spatula. Despite its stiff appearance, it melts into the skin effortlessly, like butter on warm bread. When applied, it doesn't feel sticky, but rather matte - slightly more luminous than a primer. While it has a rich feel, it doesn't come across as greasy. After application, my skin feels well-hydrated without any dryness. Though I've only used it for about ten days, so there weren't any dramatic changes, I could feel sufficient hydration without excess shine. I think it might even help control oil production a bit - I noticed less oiliness in the morning after applying it at night. A little goes a long way, making it quite efficient. I'm considering repurchasing after I finish this jar if it continues to impress me.
ConsDue to its firm texture, it doesn't spread as easily as other moisturizers. It's not that it doesn't apply, but it requires more effort compared to other products. Sometimes, if you try to apply it directly from the spatula to your face, it can slip off. To combat this, I've been transferring it to my hands first, then applying it to my face in small amounts. The description mentions that the high ceramide content is responsible for the stiff texture, but I wish they could develop an easier application method.
TipI apply this product as the final step in my routine. I've noticed it seems to spread more easily when applied over toner or emulsion rather than on bare skin, probably because the skin is already slightly slick.

It's packed with ceramides and other ingredients that help with moisture. A small amount provides sufficient hydration. After application, it feels truly velvety without any stickiness or tackiness. It's like creating a protective barrier as the final step in your skincare routine.
ConsFor someone with very dry skin like me, the absorption is disappointing. It has a waxy, stiff texture that clumps together and doesn't spread well. When I apply makeup over it, it pills and clumps up, coming off like dead skin cells. In the morning when I wash my face, I'm not sure if I can feel the hydrating effect.
TipI recommend using it as directed - scoop it with a spatula and apply it immediately while your skin is still damp. It's best to use small amounts in multiple layers for optimal results.

There's absolutely no irritation to the skin. I'm satisfied with how it hydrates the skin. It looks like solidified oil, which might make you think it'll be sticky, but surprisingly, it absorbs well and isn't sticky at all. It's nearly fragrance-free, so there's no discomfort when applying.
ConsI haven't noticed any downsides yet. In fact, I think it's perfect for use during winter months like now.
TipIt's great for applying not just on the face, but also down to the neck.
