I invested a fair amount through the crowdfunding campaign. Given how easily my skin reddens and hurts, I decided to give it a try and used it for about 3 weeks. To be completely honest, there wasn't any dramatic skin-strengthening effect in just 3 weeks. However, being a balm, it provides excellent hydration and eliminates skin dryness. Plus, perhaps due to its quality ingredients, it causes absolutely no skin irritation. I noticed that applying a thick layer after laser treatments seemed to soothe my skin relatively quickly. Since it's a balm, a small amount goes a long way in covering the entire face, so I expect it to last quite a while. I also tried the cream sample that came with it, and I found it spreads much more smoothly on the face. I think I'll try the cream version next time.
ConsIf you apply it too thickly, it can cause your makeup to pill. If you're applying makeup afterwards, I recommend using a different cream or applying this balm very thinly. Also, if you apply the Cera Balm on top of toner and essence while your skin is still moist, it tends to slide around and not absorb well. I apply the Cera Balm alone after cleansing, and I find it spreads easily and absorbs well when used on its own. If you have very dry skin, I suggest letting your toner or essence absorb fully before applying this balm.
TipI noticed that even without makeup, applying the Cera Balm too thickly can cause pilling. So, I recommend applying a thin layer during the day when you're active, and only using a thicker layer before bed. This way, you can avoid the inconvenience of pilling while still allowing your skin to absorb the product effectively.

It feels like it's sealing everything in nicely.
ConsIf you use even a tiny bit too much, it can start to pill slightly.
TipYou need to use way less than you'd think... even less than that! It has a rather rich texture, so it's best to warm it up between your fingers before applying to help it absorb well.

When I apply it before bed, I don't feel any dryness at all.
ConsNot recommended for oily skin. The texture isn't the type that absorbs easily, so you need to warm it up in your palms before applying. Be careful not to use too much, or it might pill.

Fortunately, I had the chance to use the Q-tem Cera Balm, and I felt my skin condition rapidly improving. It helped with small bumps and dryness, and most importantly, reduced the feeling of skin tightness. Though rich and creamy, it doesn't feel greasy, so your skin doesn't feel suffocated. I've known about the benefits of ceramides for a while, and the Q-tem Cera Balm has a high ceramide content along with other great ingredients, so I can use it with confidence.
ConsThe texture is quite thick, so if you apply makeup over it, it might pill or separate a bit.
TipIt's better to use this at night as a daily sleeping pack rather than in the morning or during the day. Also, don't apply the product directly to your face. Instead, take a small amount in your hands, warm it up by rubbing it between your palms, then apply it to your skin for better absorption.

Luckily, I was selected by The Hwahae Testers to give it a try! ☆Texture: A rich, buttery cream reminiscent of coconut butter ☆Application: Glides on smoothly with a moisturizing feel ☆Experience: Unlike many hydrating creams that can be heavy or oily and cause blemishes, this one absorbs well without feeling sticky or suffocating. Its thick balm-like consistency is perfect for winter rather than summer. ☆With 6% ceramides and other beneficial ingredients for the skin barrier, you can feel this rich cream gently replenishing moisture as it touches your skin. After using it for about a week, compared to my previous moisturizer (Laneige), this product seems to have reduced redness and made my skin feel smoother. It's so soft! Despite its rich texture, it absorbs surprisingly well, leaving skin feeling hydrated.
Cons-The price is a bit steep... I'm using it sparingly. As we age, our skin barrier thins, so I'd love to keep using this if there are occasional discounts. -If you apply too much at once, it can pill. I recommend layering small amounts. In my experience, using about a fingertip of this cream plus a small dab of hydrating essence is sufficient.
TipRather than applying a large amount at once, it seems to absorb better if you layer small amounts and gently massage it in. Highly recommended for cold, dry winter nights!

It provides both deep and surface hydration, preventing tightness and cracking even in the dead of winter. Packaging: The exterior is beautifully clean and simple. I love that the spatula is stored between the lid and cap, making it very practical. Scent: It has a strong medicinal scent, reminiscent of glue if I had to compare it to something. However, the fragrance isn't overpowering. Moisturizing effect: I experienced skin free from dryness and tightness. The hydration is top-notch. When applied before makeup, there's no flaking, and it seems to provide long-lasting moisture. Absorption: It absorbs very quickly with minimal stickiness.
ConsThe initial application is disappointing. Rubbing it in can irritate the skin, which makes me reluctant to use it. It's difficult to apply a small amount over the entire face, and using too much can cause pilling. It's best to apply it bit by bit to different areas. The hefty price tag is another drawback, but otherwise, it's really great!
TipI've copied the usage tips from the included paper: Use the spatula to apply directly to the skin without rubbing or scooping with hands. (From my experience, if you put the cream directly on your face, it doesn't stick well and is hard to spread. I recommend applying it to your hands first for better absorption.) Applying to damp skin improves spreadability. (I found mixing a bit of serum with the cream on my hand made it spread more smoothly.) Use less than your usual amount of cream. It's better to use small amounts multiple times rather than a large amount at once. Due to its drawbacks, I've been using small amounts on dry areas. For example, I dot it on blemishes or apply it to cracked skin. The high concentration of cica aids in skin regeneration, and you can see improvements quickly. When used this way, it's a five-star product for me. I'm using it with satisfaction. There's a trending skincare method using Daiso oil blotting papers. I recommend trying it with this cica-rich cream. (Apply a thick layer of cream, then place the oil blotting paper on top for 5 minutes.) The paper helps retain the beneficial ingredients while absorbing excess oil, promoting better absorption.

Usually, spatulas are too big to store with the product, leading to loss or dust accumulation. This one is cleverly designed to fit inside the container! Ingredients: Packed with 41% Centella Asiatica extract, 6% ceramides, and squalane - high concentrations of ingredients great for hydration, skin regeneration, and barrier function! Texture and application: It has a thick, buttery texture like coconut meat. However, it doesn't melt instantly on the skin as expected. Honestly, it's the most challenging product I've used in terms of application. Absorption: Due to its thick consistency, it takes quite a while to absorb. To avoid irritation, I gently press it into my skin, using my body heat to help it melt and absorb better. If you're worried about it being too oily due to its thickness, fear not! Once fully absorbed, it leaves the skin feeling soft without any stickiness. It's like 'matte but moisturized' - dry on the outside, hydrated on the inside! Scent: Perfect for those who dislike strong fragrances. It has a subtle floral scent, almost unscented. Blemish potential: None! As someone with sensitive skin, this is crucial. Even the best ingredients can be useless if they don't suit your skin, so I'm thrilled this didn't cause any blemishes. However, be cautious with the amount used, as it contains stearic acid which could potentially clog pores if overused. Moisturizing effect: The 6% ceramides really deliver! It locks in moisture, reducing dryness, and I noticed my skin felt softer the next day. Subtle glow: I compared it on the back of my hands - one with, one without. The side with the product had a subtle, beautiful glow. Using a small amount before makeup could give a natural, dewy look. Overall rating: 3.5 stars. Despite being packed with great functional ingredients, the application and absorption issues significantly detract from its other benefits. I hope they improve this aspect!
ConsThe texture makes absorption quite disappointing. It takes a while to melt on the skin and feels like you're applying candle wax (paraffin) to your face. This makes me reluctant to use it regularly - definitely needs improvement urgently. Be careful with the amount you use in the morning, as too much can cause makeup to slide off. It's not really suitable as a moisturizer on its own. It's better used in small amounts over your regular moisturizer to lock in hydration. The price is surprisingly high for what it offers.
TipDue to its thick texture, I recommend using this as a night treatment rather than in your busy morning routine. If you're concerned about the application, try mixing it with a drop of jojoba oil or a bit of your regular emulsion or cream. I found it works better when I gently press it into my skin, allowing my body heat to melt it for better absorption. As someone with chronically chapped lips, I discovered it works great as a lip balm alternative. The gentle ingredients make it perfect for this dual use!

First off, I'm extremely satisfied. I was surprised and amazed when washing my face in the morning after applying it generously at night. Usually, thick formulas leave a slight oily residue on your hands when washing or feel sticky and hard to rinse off, but Q-tem absorbs so well into the skin without any oily or sticky feeling. When I tried to wash the remaining cream off my hands after applying it to my face, it rinsed off so easily with water. This made me realize that Q-tem's rich texture doesn't just sit on top of the skin or feel greasy, but truly absorbs into my skin. Despite its rich consistency, it absorbs incredibly well (when applied at night before bed). However, it does pill when applied in the morning before makeup. I highly recommend it for nighttime skincare. (December 17th) I'm so glad I got to try this in winter. You know how your face can feel so cold with just basic skincare on windy days? I applied this cream generously before going out, and it felt like a protective layer, which was great. I used to use 100% shea butter (Lush*) in winter, but that felt a bit heavy. This product, however, feels just right without being too heavy.
ConsI don't recommend using this before applying makeup. When I put on cushion foundation after this cream, it pilled so badly that I had to wash my face again. It might work differently with liquid foundation, but it definitely pills with cushion compacts.
TipI apply it on my face, neck, and even dab a bit on my elbows. The quantity is generous, and it's not too thick, making it easy to apply anywhere.

(Great start...) The ingredients are excellent. I was actually drawn to this product because of its ingredients, and it seems to have calmed my existing blemishes without causing new ones. This alone could justify a 5-star rating, but there's a slight deduction in the cons section. Stay tuned... The color of the packaging is lovely. I wasn't sure whether to mention this since it's unrelated to the product's effectiveness, but the beautiful green shade goes so well with winter that I can't help but love it.
ConsIt pills terribly. Even after some time has passed, it feels like there's a thin protective layer on your face that comes off when touched. I first tried it in the evening, and in the morning, I realized it wouldn't work under makeup, so I only used it at night. Despite adjusting the amount, the problem persisted, leaving me unsure what went wrong. The texture is extremely thick. While I expected it to be rich since it's a moisturizing product and literally called a 'balm cream', it's even harder to spread than anticipated. If there's any moisture from previously applied essences or emulsions, the cream doesn't absorb well, so I had to wait for the other products to sink in first. This meant the skin would lose moisture, leaving it dehydrated before applying the ceramide balm cream, resulting in a combination dehydrated skin routine. I tried warming it up in my hands, but that didn't help either. The scent, while not a deal-breaker for me, might be off-putting for some people.
TipYou probably don't need to store this in a skincare fridge. Although it's called a cream, it's closer to a balm in consistency - check the photos to see what I mean.

I personally don't prefer jar-type cream containers. Often, plastic spatulas are loosely placed in the box, making storage difficult. However, I was very pleased to find that this cera balm has the spatula stored inside the product when you open the lid!! From a hygiene perspective, it gets top marks!!!! ✔️ Texture and Ingredients In truth, I think 'balm' suits it better than 'cream'. Cera balm! The texture isn't a softly absorbing cream, but rather a solid balm consistency. Thanks to its high ceramide content, it has an excellent effect on skin hydration. I only use a small amount of the cream, but it provides sufficient moisture for my combination dehydrated skin without feeling oily, which makes it feel even more hydrating for my skin. It's a really great cream for winter use!!!!!!!! ✔️ A Balm for All Skin Types My mom with dry skin and I with combination dehydrated skin both tried it and were satisfied!! It provided proper hydration even for dry skin with redness, and for my combination dehydrated skin, it didn't cause any blemishes after use. It seemed to strengthen the skin barrier without disrupting the oil and moisture balance.
Cons✔️ Application To be honest, perhaps due to its high concentration, the application could be described as really challenging, but that's just a minor drawback and doesn't necessarily need improvement. Since the texture can pill if you apply too much, it's best to use very small amounts!!
Tip❣️ It's best to use the spatula to scoop out a small amount and apply it thinly on your face, slowly melting it into the skin.
