I bought it after seeing the ceramide content, hoping it would improve my skin barrier, and I'm really pleased with it.
ConsThe application was a bit tricky until I got used to it. I found it works better when you gently melt it between your fingers before applying.

When I apply it before bed, I don't feel any dryness at all.
ConsNot recommended for oily skin. The texture isn't the type that absorbs easily, so you need to warm it up in your palms before applying. Be careful not to use too much, or it might pill.

My husband and I used it almost every evening (about 90% of the time), and it lasted about a month. To be honest, I think it ran out quickly because I applied too much at first, not knowing any better! The instructions say a small amount is sufficient, but I felt like I needed to layer it thinly multiple times to really lock in the hydration. Why? Because unlike my usual creams that look moisturizing and leave a dewy, glowy finish, this one dries to a soft, matte finish! So I initially doubted if it was really providing moisture and sealing in the hydration and nutrients from my serum. But after finishing the whole jar, I can confirm that when applied correctly, I wake up with reduced blemishes and skin that feels soft, balanced, and soothed without excess oil. It must be due to the high ceramide content! I'm 90% sure I'll repurchase this.
Cons1. As everyone probably notices... the texture! I was really shocked at first, thinking 'Does this even spread?' Haha. You really need to take a small amount and warm it up before applying! To be honest, while someone with good skin might spread it easily, when I first used this cream, I had painful, red blemishes on my chin, so the act of spreading this was a bit irritating. So, regrettably, I had to slightly melt it in my palms (feels like 50% absorbed into my hands, sigh) and then gently pat it onto my chin. Gradually, I developed the skill to spread it thinly. Of course, as my skin improved over time, it became easier to apply as well! 2. When applied in the morning, no matter how thinly I spread it, my sunscreen would pill up like eraser dust. Sometimes it wouldn't happen... I'm not sure what makes the difference, but since every minute is precious during morning rush hour, I ended up only using it in the evenings. * Not recommended for those who dislike investing much time in skincare and prefer to quickly apply and be done!
TipDespite the drawbacks mentioned above... it's clear that this cream excels at its primary role of sealing in the ingredients applied beforehand. It perfectly fits that purpose. I follow an evening routine of sheet mask followed by this cream, and after absorbing the moisture-rich mask (like Crisma or Mediheal Hyalu), this cream plays a crucial role in locking in that hydration. My blemishes have significantly reduced. Highly recommended!

Though it's a bit challenging to apply, I only use it at night due to some pilling.
ConsThe price is wickedly high! While it doesn't absorb as easily as I'd like, it works well if you take the time to spread it evenly.

It was intriguing to try this cream for the first time - it has a completely thick and matte texture, reminiscent of white butter. The scent is almost fragrance-free, which I found refreshing. When it comes to application, a little goes a long way - even a small amount is enough to cover the entire face, so I expect it to last quite a while. If you use it like a regular moisturizer, it can leave a white cast on your face. Although I need to use it longer to be sure, in the short term, I haven't experienced any blemishes, and my complexion seems more even. I'm looking forward to seeing the results after finishing the whole jar!
ConsWhile the texture was interesting, I don't usually use a spatula, so application felt a bit awkward. It doesn't spread easily, and when applying, it feels like it's sitting on the skin rather than absorbing well. I wish it had better absorbs - that's my main disappointment.
TipIt might feel a bit rich for morning use, but it seems perfect for nighttime application after cleansing!

After applying, it's as if an extra layer is added to the skin? Although it might be due to slightly slower absorption, I liked how it made my skin feel firm without any stickiness. ☞ Long-lasting Effect The morning after applying it, my skin doesn't feel tight like it sometimes does with other creams. I guess that means it has a long-lasting effect! ☞ Design The clean and simple design, with a dark green color that's not tacky at all, makes it a nice addition to any vanity. ☞ Ingredients I applied to be a Hwahae Tester just based on the ingredients, and what can I say? All the ingredients were perfect for me, with no harmful components! ☞ Convenience Sometimes jar-type creams don't come with a spatula, or if they do, it doesn't fit inside the container. But this one has a thin inner lid where you can place the spatula, and then you can securely close the outer lid. It's so convenient! ☞ Brand Recognition To be honest, I had never heard of the Cutem brand before... It might just be my ignorance, but there weren't many reviews for the brand's other products on the Hwahae app either. However, the product seems quite good, so maybe they just need to advertise more! ☞ Fragrance I don't have any sinus issues, but I could barely detect any scent - it's practically fragrance-free!
Cons☞ Price It's expensive... The regular price is 89,000 won for 50ml, which is quite steep. Even on sale, it would still be pricey. Since it's not a famous brand, it doesn't have name value, so is the cost purely for the ingredients? For someone like me who uses cream generously, it's a bit too expensive. ☞ Application Honestly, I could overlook everything else, but this needs to be fixed. The application is really poor. It feels like trying to spread cold butter on your face until it melts. It's not that it's cold, but the texture is so solid that it's really difficult to apply and spread on the face. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can't use this when I'm in a hurry in the morning - there's no time to wait for it to melt. Also, having to constantly rub it in might cause some irritation. The application alone really lowered my overall rating... I'm considering mixing it with oil. Out of all the creams I've tried, this has the worst texture by far. ☞ Repurchase Intention Everything else is fine, but honestly, I don't want to spend money on this again due to the price and texture. Especially because it's so difficult to apply... If the application isn't improved, I'll be looking for a different cream.
TipJust try to warm it up as much as possible before using it.

Ingredients: Judging by the ingredients alone, this cream seems to be an excellent match for sensitive skin. Packaging and Portability: The packaging is simple and the size is just right, making it easy to carry when traveling without any hassle! Moisturization and Skin Barrier Strengthening: I think I understand what they mean by 'strengthening the skin barrier' now. When I apply this, it feels like it creates a thin protective layer, giving my skin a firm, supported feeling. It also seems to lock in moisture well, making me feel like my skin could withstand even cold winds.
ConsTexture and Application: I thought it was frozen at first... Even scraping with a spatula was difficult! If you try to apply it directly to your face, it just falls right off... It has a thick, firm ointment-like consistency. It's really hard to apply, but once it warms up from your body heat, it does spread more easily. Because of this texture, I only tested it at night. Why? Because when I tried applying sunscreen over it in the morning, the cream pilled up like dead skin... It's seriously such a struggle to apply...
TipAs long as you don't apply too much, it shouldn't cause blemishes due to its rich texture. P.S. I'd recommend using it only at night... if possible.

As the weather got colder, no matter how many layers I applied, I couldn't solve my deep dryness. However, the Cera Balm Cream, when used after my basic skincare routine, managed to tackle that deep dryness with just a small amount. I really liked that!
ConsEven though it's a balm type, oh my... It's not just a matter of scooping it out easily. You practically have to scratch at it to get any product out. The absorption isn't great either. At first, I thought it would melt when I put it on my skin. I tried to spread it smoothly after placing some on my face, but it suddenly dropped to the floor, and I had to reapply (I ended up using the fallen bit on my heel). Personally, I don't think it suits me very well, but I'll try to use it consistently.
TipMake sure to apply only a small amount after your basic skincare has been fully absorbed.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have dry skin with a lack of oil and moisture, and deep dryness. I received this product last week and have been using it for a week. The ingredients are great! The packaging is simple, and the green part reminds me of soothing. I like the calm color. I thought the spatula would be separate in the product box, but when I opened the lid, it was inside. It seems convenient for storage. Due to its high concentration, the cream is firm. When you open it, it looks like old-fashioned ointment. Because of the ingredient content, it doesn't spread easily. It's thick, but it becomes soft when applied. At first, the scent was nice, like a forest or wood smell, but when I smelled it again, it reminded me of glue. However, the scent isn't strong, so it's not a problem. I don't recommend applying it right after toner at first. It feels like the middle is slightly empty because the inside is hollow. As it's a moisturizing cream, the product itself doesn't seem to have much hydration. It's not a 'super hydrating!' type of product. As mentioned in the instructions, it applies well when there's moisture on your face. So, it's best to apply it by spreading it on your face with your hands, then spraying mist or toner to help it melt and absorb better. It absorbs well, and after about 30 minutes, it feels matte when touched. It's soft with just a slight oiliness. I like that it's not sticky. It gives a natural glow! The subtle silver glow is pretty. Your face feels heavier after application. When you lie down after applying, it feels like something is pressing on your skin. There's a sense of pressure. It seems to make the skin thicker. Of course, it can't actually thicken, but before it felt like an empty shell, and now it feels like there's a layer on the skin and it's filled out. I think the skin barrier is recovering! My skin has become softer even after just a few applications. I'm using an electric blanket, so I thought the heat would make it evaporate quickly and dry out, but it's holding up well. The lasting power is good. I have a cold and have been blowing my nose often, causing the skin around my nose to crack, but applying this cream has stopped it from cracking further. Good job! Since my skin was so dehydrated, I usually use more hydrating creams than moisturizing ones, but this is the best moisturizing cream I've used so far. Although there are ingredients to be cautious of depending on your skin type, I think it would be suitable for all skin types if not applied excessively. + Additional note When my skin is dry, the area around my nose gets itchy, but after applying this, the itchiness subsided! I had a pimple on my cheek, but it's calming down well. It's not an instant miracle soothing effect, but it seems to calm the skin gradually.
ConsIt doesn't apply well on bare skin and can clump when applied with hands. Since it becomes transparent when applied, it's hard to see and may clump. If you scratch it, all the cream comes off. If not careful, it can cause pilling with subsequent products. Controlling the amount is essential. Applying with the spatula is okay for the right side of the face for right-handed people, but the spatula is short, making it difficult to apply on the left side and forehead. It's difficult to apply without instructions. Although it's in a jar, the texture is solid, making it hard to scoop with fingers, so the spatula is necessary. This makes it difficult to keep the spatula clean. It might be inconvenient to carry around. The price is higher than expected. Although it's effective, considering the regular price, it seems expensive, so I'll have to think about purchasing it.
TipDon't dig deep into the product. You should lightly scrape the surface and apply it thinly on your face. A separate hydrating cream is a must!

As someone who hates spatulas rolling around, I really appreciated this. While I prefer tube-type creams, this packaging gets a passing grade. Texture/Feel: It has a thick, butter-like consistency. It's a bit challenging to apply, but once you do, it absorbs so well you hardly notice you've applied it, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. I have oily skin, but after application, I barely felt any greasiness or excess oil. Some people say it's not recommended for oily skin, but I think it varies from person to person. It's definitely not an oily formula. Scent: I could barely detect any fragrance. It's clean, pure simplicity. You could practically call it unscented. Moisturizing/Soothing: As winter approached, I was looking for a deeply moisturizing cream, and this product with its high ceramide content caught my eye. To cut to the chase, I'll definitely be repurchasing this! I have combination dehydrated, slightly sensitive skin that tends to get redness in winter. After using it diligently for two weeks along with my husband (who has oily skin sensitive to post-shave irritation), we found the moisturizing power to be incredible and it even seemed to have a soothing effect. My husband, whose skin usually gets very red and irritated after shaving, liked it so much he asked how much it cost and insisted I repurchase it when it's on sale. It's rare for him to react this positively to a skincare product!
ConsApplication: It's so thick that it's difficult to spread thinly. I tried mixing it with oil or a watery moisturizer, but it was still a bit challenging to apply... I think I need to research the best way to apply it.
