I have combination dehydrated and sensitive skin. When I use products that don't suit me, I often get painful red acne or an explosion of sebum-like bumps. However, this product didn't cause any of those blemishes after use. It's unique in that it's an ampoule with a runny texture closer to a toner. When applied, it feels slicker than a typical toner, almost like water mixed with seaweed. This gives it a more moisturizing feel. My routine usually involves applying this ampoule after cleansing, followed by a hydrating cream, and then an extra layer of cream on particularly dry areas. It seems like a product that even combination dehydrated skin can use comfortably in summer without causing excess oil production. The runny texture makes it a bit challenging to control the amount, but the dropper helps compensate for this to some extent. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 22, 2023
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I rarely use ampoules, but I got the chance to try this one as a tester. I have combination dehydrated skin, and maybe because of this product, my skin has been feeling so hydrated lately! No blemishes have appeared, and there's no deep dryness, so I'm very satisfied with it. The design is also super pretty. Rating criteria: 1 star: Absolutely terrible, would never recommend 2 stars: Wouldn't repurchase 3 stars: Using it without any issues 4 stars: Recommend it, using it consistently 5 stars: Perfect without any flaws, holy grail product When applied, it's slightly sticky like other ampoules, but it gets better over time. The lasting power seems short, as my skin feels dry later on. The scent isn't unscented, more like a grassy smell? I didn't really like the fragrance. I'm not sure if the price of around 30,000 won for 50ml is expensive or not. Oh, and the texture is runny, so it tends to drip down your thighs. Reapplying makes it even more hydrating! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 21, 2023
1. I loved the cooling effect! 2. At first it felt a bit sticky, but it absorbed quickly, leaving almost no stickiness 3. The water-like texture doesn't feel heavy on the skin 4. The cool woody + minty scent was totally my style 5. I really liked the simple packaging There weren't any downsides. While the very fluid texture means you need to pat it in quickly before it dries, this actually helps it absorb well, so it wasn't an issue! This would be perfect to use in summer - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 21, 2023
First off, true to its ampoule nature, the dropper-style applicator made it easy to control the amount used. The scent was surprisingly subtle, almost imperceptible - so mild that it's hard to define! Rather than the typical concentrated ampoule, it has more of a toner-essence consistency. Initially, I thought, 'Huh? Why is this ampoule so runny... Is this really an ampoule? Isn't it too weak?' However, it turned out to be gentle on the skin, hydrating, and didn't cause any blemishes. It feels like a lightweight essence. I appreciated that it didn't cause pilling with subsequent makeup application. This makes it seem particularly suitable for summer use. Perhaps because of the 'ampoule' label, I unconsciously expected something more concentrated. I think it would be better if it had slightly more viscosity. Since it runs down even when using the dropper, they might want to consider changing the packaging style. It feels like a gentle essence-type ampoule that could substitute for a hydrating moisturizer in summer. It could also be used in place of toner or emulsion. I found it particularly pleasant when stored in the refrigerator for a cooling effect. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2023
The texture flows like water, so I thought I might need to apply a lot. But as I applied it, I felt a slight oiliness, and it absorbed into my skin beautifully. Just one layer was enough to tackle deep dryness with a plumping effect! After application, it felt light, not heavy at all. Even on days when I wanted to layer more, it didn't become sticky or heavy, which I was really pleased with! As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I always need to pay attention to deep dryness and switch between light and rich products depending on the season. I loved that this wasn't too heavy even in the current hot weather! Due to its fluid texture, I applied it by dropping small amounts onto the areas I wanted to treat. Since it absorbs thinly and well, those who prefer a more nourishing and thick serum might find this too light! Apply the Doctohu Soothing Ampoule lightly all over or on specific areas by dropping it onto the skin, then gently press with your palms to help it absorb into the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 21, 2023
While the weather these days isn't particularly dry, it's not humid either. It's the kind of weather where applying a thick layer of cream feels too heavy, but skipping it might leave your skin dry. Since your makeup's condition for the day largely depends on your pre-makeup skincare routine, I was on the lookout for a good hydrating serum! The texture is lightweight and watery, absorbing quickly into the skin. After absorption, it leaves a subtle, luminous glow. There's absolutely no pilling when applying makeup over it. In fact, you only need to use a small amount of cream in the next step, which streamlines your routine while still delivering satisfying results. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which I actually prefer. It's gentle enough that I didn't experience any blemishes, which is always a concern when trying new products (I've been using it for 2 weeks). As a beauty enthusiast, another important factor for me is bottle design! The serum bottle has a refreshing design that perfectly suits a hydrating product. It looks so pretty on my vanity, which makes me very happy! The texture is so watery that you need to apply it quickly as soon as it touches your face, otherwise it might drip. However, since it absorbs rapidly, I wouldn't really consider this a significant drawback. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 21, 2023
This ampoule is perfect for summer use! First off, the design gave me a little boost. Seeing the encouraging message every time I use it feels like someone's cheering me on daily. The texture is incredibly watery, giving a sensation of it flowing smoothly onto the skin and absorbing instantly. It's great how it immediately replenishes hydration! The watery consistency makes it noticeably different from the thicker ampoules I used in winter, making it ideal for summer skincare routines, especially under makeup. And the fragrance? It's so subtle you'll wonder if it's even there, which makes it perfect for those who prefer gentler products. It's extremely runny... When you drop a single drop, it tends to trickle down quickly. You need to apply it swiftly, or it might end up on the floor. Quite wasteful! Apart from that, the dropper is a bit small, making it somewhat challenging to open and close. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2023
The beautiful package design is a delight. The contents have a subtle blue tint that looks refreshing at first glance. Simply placing it on your vanity adds a decorative touch to your space. With its lightweight feel, it's perfect for hydrating your skin during the summer months without feeling heavy. The fragrance is nearly unscented, with a subtle aroma that's hard to describe. It's not overpowering, which is quite satisfying. For an ampoule, the texture is surprisingly thin. It has a runny consistency more akin to a watery toner than a typical ampoule. When applied directly to the face, it tends to drip, so it's best to dispense it onto your palm first. The dropper is short and small, making it somewhat inconvenient to use. Considering its performance, the regular price seems quite steep.
