Skin type: Blemish-prone, Dry I have super sensitive skin that reacts badly to the wrong skincare products. However, after using this for about a week, I experienced no discomfort from blemishes at all. The texture is on the thinner side, so those with dry skin like me might need to apply it twice to feel fully hydrated. That said, it doesn't cause any pilling with makeup. Foundation adheres perfectly to the skin. I mainly use it like a first essence, applying a light layer after cleansing and letting it absorb. If you have dry skin and only apply this once, you'll need to layer your skincare products thoroughly. When I applied my usual toner, emulsion, and moisturizing ampoule, then did my makeup as usual, I felt tightness after about 3 hours. But looking at the product alone, I would still purchase it! When I applied this right after washing my face, let it absorb, and then applied toner, I definitely felt more hydration in my skin compared to when I only use toner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 23, 2023
❗️ The scent is close to unscented, with a subtle coconut-like fragrance reminiscent of coconut oil. ❗️ The texture is more fluid than a sticky serum, similar to a slightly viscous toner that absorbs well into the skin. This results in better absorption. ❗️ My skin has become super sensitive, and without a skin pack before makeup, it usually pills or looks patchy. However, when I apply this ampoule and let it absorb well before makeup, there's no pilling or patchiness. Even my boyfriend, who only wears base makeup, said it's good because his base makeup doesn't look cakey after using this ampoule. ❗️ The 50ml size is just right. ❗️ If you're expecting a rich texture for deep hydration, you might want to pass. It's on the thinner side. ❗️ This ampoule is better suited for summer than winter, and works well for oily skin rather than dry skin! It's great for balancing oil and moisture for those with oily skin, ideal to use before applying cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 22, 2023
Skin type: #21 Dry Feel: The texture is like water, flowing smoothly as soon as you squeeze it out. The product is transparent and fragrance-free. It absorbs lightly while providing rich hydration. It works well as a base for makeup, with no pilling or caking. While it might feel a bit dry in winter, it should be great for spring, summer, and fall. As the weather's getting warmer, I've been looking for a lightweight product that still packs a hydration punch, and this fits the bill. There's no irritation or blemishes, so even with my super sensitive skin, I find myself reaching for it often. If I had to point out a drawback, when using it for night care, you need to layer it about 3 times to get that plump hydration. However, even with multiple layers, it absorbs well and doesn't cause the next step in your routine to pill. The fact that it absorbs without interfering with subsequent products is definitely a plus. Depending on your skin condition and intended use, layering it two or three times can make this a moisturizing serum suitable for combination dehydrated skin, combination, and dry skin types. It also works well under makeup, so I recommend using it before applying cosmetics. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2023
A perfect hydrating ampoule for combination dehydrated skin that's neither too light nor too heavy! As an ampoule enthusiast, I've tried various hydrating serums, but compared to other brands, this one is ideal for seasonal changes. It's also great for dry skin types even in summer. It really helps your skin retain moisture. You can apply it before makeup without any pilling - it actually helps your base makeup adhere better! While they've created a truly beautiful design, the container is shorter and wider than typical ampoules. The broader shape makes it feel like dust settles on the bottle more easily, which is a bit concerning. Also, opening and closing it can be slightly inconvenient. When used before makeup, it fills the skin with hydration, allowing makeup to apply smoothly. Additionally, when your skin is irritated, it's crucial to replenish moisture. Applying this in two layers, followed by a thin layer of a moisturizing cream, results in less oiliness and better hydration when you wake up the next morning. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2023
The water-based formula allows for lightweight application and provides a good dose of hydration. However, it's not intensely moisturizing, so I'd recommend it more for summer than winter if you have dry skin. It's fragrance-free, making it great for those with sensitive noses! You can apply it generously before makeup without any pilling or flaking. For a nighttime routine, try layering it multiple times for that 'Inner Glow' skin the next day. The gentle ingredients haven't caused any blemishes or irritation. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a mild serum that won't burden their skin! It doesn't absorb quickly and tends to sit on the skin. The dropper is quite stiff, which can feel a bit harsh when applying to the skin. It doesn't seem particularly unique compared to other serums, yet it's priced on the higher side. For best results, apply 2-3 layers at night! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 21, 2023
1. Texture and Application Despite being an essence, the formula isn't thick. It has a water-like consistency that absorbs well and feels great on the skin. 2. Makeup Performance I used this hydrating essence before applying makeup. It absorbs quickly without pilling, and my makeup stays intact even after hours of wear. 3. Compatibility with Other Essences In the evening, I use it alongside other functional essences, and it doesn't cause any blemishes or reactions. When first applied, there's a slight rubber scent, but it dissipates quickly. A single application might not provide enough hydration for some. Layering it two or three times works better. The dropper seems a bit short, which might make it challenging to use up all the product. This works great as a first essence or as an essence mask. On mornings when you have extra time, using it as a mask helps your makeup apply more smoothly and last longer! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 21, 2023
While the weather these days isn't particularly dry, it's not humid either. It's the kind of weather where applying a thick layer of cream feels too heavy, but skipping it might leave your skin dry. Since your makeup's condition for the day largely depends on your pre-makeup skincare routine, I was on the lookout for a good hydrating serum! The texture is lightweight and watery, absorbing quickly into the skin. After absorption, it leaves a subtle, luminous glow. There's absolutely no pilling when applying makeup over it. In fact, you only need to use a small amount of cream in the next step, which streamlines your routine while still delivering satisfying results. The scent is nearly fragrance-free, which I actually prefer. It's gentle enough that I didn't experience any blemishes, which is always a concern when trying new products (I've been using it for 2 weeks). As a beauty enthusiast, another important factor for me is bottle design! The serum bottle has a refreshing design that perfectly suits a hydrating product. It looks so pretty on my vanity, which makes me very happy! The texture is so watery that you need to apply it quickly as soon as it touches your face, otherwise it might drip. However, since it absorbs rapidly, I wouldn't really consider this a significant drawback. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 20, 2023
This product seems to be a great fit for combination dehydrated skin or dry skin types rather than oily skin! While it's not quite as runny as water, the texture does flow easily, so you need to be careful to prevent it from dripping. It doesn't leave an excessively greasy feeling, doesn't cause pilling, and absorbs well into the skin, making it perfect for use as a base layer before applying makeup. The lasting power is also pretty good, and I was amazed at how it seemed to build up hydration with each application! In my opinion, it feels a bit on the pricey side, so I'd probably only purchase it during a sale... One full dropper seems to be just the right amount for the face, which makes it easy to control how much product you're using! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinMay 19, 2023
1. Safe for sensitive skin During the trial period, my skin was in a terrible state with acne flare-ups due to lack of sleep. However, while using this product, I experienced no irritation or additional breakouts. I applied it generously without worry. 2. Fragrance-free There's no noticeable scent, making it suitable for those sensitive to fragrances. 3. No pilling with foundation! I applied my morning routine of toner, this serum, and moisturizer, followed by foundation. There was no pilling or any such issues. Great! It's lightweight, perhaps too lightweight... I doubt those with very dry skin would be able to use this product effectively due to its extremely light texture. I have combination dehydrated skin, and when I first applied it to my face, I honestly thought it was a toner rather than a serum - that's how light it is. One application didn't feel hydrating enough, so I had to layer it two or three times. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinMay 15, 2023
Doesn't cause blemishes. The lightweight formula allows for layering without pilling, giving a sense of deep hydration when applied in multiple layers. I apply it on the back of my hand, and it makes my skin incredibly moisturized. While the water-like texture might not be for everyone, I appreciate how gentle it is. It can feel a bit lacking if you only apply one layer due to its thin consistency. You need to apply it multiple times to get that characteristic plumping effect of an ampoule. It's too light for use with galvanic devices. Other than that, I can't think of any reasons not to recommend it. I layer this over my cream. It works better with richer, more nourishing creams rather than lightweight moisturizers.
