After my evening cleanse and toner, I layered this product twice before finishing with serum and cream. My skin felt hydrated without any tightness - I'm really satisfied with the moisture level! There was no dryness or tightness even by morning, so the oil-moisture balance and lasting power were great. As I have sensitive skin, I always use products that support my skin barrier in my evening routine. I added the Anua Tightening Ampoule to my nighttime essence/ampoule step because it contains copper tripeptide, which is said to help damaged skin. The texture is watery, but it leaves a nice firm feeling on the skin with a slightly slick surface. Being super sensitive and reactive, I felt a tiny bit of irritation. It has a coconut scent, which wasn't really my cup of tea! My skin was fine before use, but after just one application, I was shocked to find a huge blemish on my forehead... This happened even though my cleansing and basic routine were exactly the same as usual. The ingredients seem good, so I'm not sure what didn't agree with my skin. I like that the container is transparent so you can see the contents. However, it's chubbier than typical ampoules and the dropper is short, which left me wanting more with each use. A longer dropper would make it more convenient to use. The artificial fragrance was a no-go for me. I think this would be great for layering multiple times during seasonal changes or in winter when skin gets extremely dry. It's not too heavy for summer use either, so it seems versatile for year-round use. I was satisfied with the price for the amount you get and the hydration level. However, as someone with sensitive skin who's very picky about cleansing and skincare products, I'm hesitant to purchase due to the irritation and blemishes it caused. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 21, 2023
Reviewer's Skin Type: Combination, Sensitive, Acne-prone Texture: The texture is incredibly lightweight! Comparing it to other ampoules I own, it's similar in feel to the Torriden Dive-In Low-Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The main difference is that while Torriden has a heavier moisture feel, this one has a light oiliness to it. After it's fully absorbed, your skin gets a nice sheen! Scent: There is a scent, but it's subtle. To describe it subjectively... it's a bit like a rich cosmetic smell? It reminds me of butter! But it's not overpowering at all. Unless you have a super sensitive nose, you'll barely notice it. Recommended Usage: I recommend using this in your morning skincare routine, right before makeup application! Especially now that the weather's getting hotter and many are worried about makeup meltdown. This serum helps maintain hydration while preventing makeup from sliding off. (I personally use it in the morning and before applying makeup) Appearance: It's really tiny! I like it though. The case design is so innovative! Just note that the dropper is quite firm, so you'll need to use a bit of strength. Blemishes: I'm not sure if it was just bad timing, but I experienced a bit of irritation. I had some blemishes pop up! To be fair, this was the only product I changed in my routine (I switched my regular serum for this one), so that's why I noticed. Because of this, I couldn't use it as liberally as I'd like. If you have super sensitive skin, you might want to consider this carefully. Mild Hydration: This could be a pro for some, but for me it's a con. You know how sometimes a product feels different on your face than on your hand? Well, I was impressed when I tested it on my hand, but on my face, the oiliness seemed more pronounced. I was expecting more hydration, so I was a bit disappointed. Still, it did provide definite moisturization. After applying a light layer of toner, use this serum, then follow up with a small amount of cream spread evenly. Then you're ready for makeup! Just make sure to let everything absorb properly! This is a crucial step no matter what skincare routine you're following. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 17, 2023
I love how it's not too lightweight, yet provides just the right amount of hydration when applied. Sometimes, using highly concentrated ampoules can feel heavy, which I don't enjoy, but this product seems perfect even for hot summer use. The packaging is also appealing. Initially, applying a single drop to my face was fine, but when I got greedy and applied multiple layers, it started to feel a bit itchy. I tend to experience itchiness with products containing hyaluronic acid, so I think that might be the cause. It seems I'll need to use small amounts and monitor how my skin reacts. While it's great to apply directly to the face, I think it would also work well mixed into an emulsion or cream.
