It absorbs well, leaving the skin hydrated. It's lightweight enough for acne-prone skin and doesn't feel sticky, which I really appreciate. It seems to dry out rather quickly. I feel like I need to reapply it not long after the initial application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2024
I often feel like skincare products work well at first but lose effectiveness over time, so I tend to switch them up regularly. However, this is the only product I've genuinely used more than 5 bottles of! It's a true holy grail item! As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes, this is absolutely perfect when my T-zone gets red and irritated. The jar packaging is less hygienic, and towards the end of use, the product becomes a bit thick and paste-like. I wish it came in a tube format like the aloe products. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 1, 2024
This has become my holy grail! As other reviews mentioned, this moisturizer is the ultimate for soothing. Though I haven't tried many other creams, I can say this one's pretty great. A must-have for oily skin in summer! It has absolutely zero rich feeling. There are no downsides, honestly. The soothing sensation is amazing, it feels light and refreshing while still providing hydration. A summer essential! However, those with dry skin might struggle using this alone. You might want to choose a product with more richness instead, as this one has zero oil. I mean absolutely zero. It dries down instantly. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 24, 2024
Well... first of all, it absorbs so effortlessly and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It gives me a really soothing feeling. I wouldn't recommend this for those with dry skin because it dries too quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 18, 2024
As someone with sensitive combination skin, my dermatologist recommended using an oil-free cream. I'm so glad I discovered this! It's wonderfully hydrating, and it feels great to sleep with it on like a mask! It gave me the impression that it dried quickly... I felt like it was absorbing too fast, leaving me feeling like I needed to apply another layer of cream. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 23, 2024
When I apply this before bed, I can visibly see my skin looks calmer the next morning While it's great for soothing my skin, it's a bit disappointing to see the cream solidify - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 17, 2024
I love that it's free from harmful ingredients. It's great for soothing the skin! It only provides hydration, without the feeling of adding other nutrients. It seems to dry out quickly? For those with oily skin, it's good to use occasionally, but if applied too frequently, it might strip away too much oil, potentially leading to increased oil production. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 28, 2024
I really liked how lightweight it felt. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes, which was great. It dried too quickly, so I'm not sure if it was effectively moisturizing my skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
I was selected as a Hwahae Tester and used this product for about 10 days. 1. Texture: It feels like a mix between a soothing gel and a moisturizer. Personally, I preferred using it after keeping it in the fridge, as it becomes delightfully cool. Surprisingly, a small amount is enough to cover the entire face. 2. Application: There's hardly any oiliness. While I had high hopes for its soothing effects due to the cica ingredients that usually work well for me, I couldn't really notice much calming. However, it definitely doesn't stress the skin. Recently, my forehead has been particularly oily. When I apply just this product after toner on my whole face, my skin feels tight everywhere except the forehead after an hour or two of absorption. So, I layer something else on top after it absorbs. 3. Scent: There's a slight scent, similar to sniffing an unscented candle up close. This seems typical of cica-based cosmetics. Even though I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, it didn't bother me much. It seems more suitable for nighttime use or for light outings when you're only applying sunscreen. One reason I compared it to a soothing gel is that if you apply it in multiple layers or thickly for calming purposes, it pills up like dead skin after drying. When I apply cushion foundation (currently using Laneige Neo Matte) over this, it doesn't seem to adhere well. The foundation goes on, but doesn't stick properly, so even if artificial tears flow, the makeup seems to come off slightly along that path. It might be best to think of it as a soothing gel with a bit more moisture and substance. If you have very oily skin, this alone might be sufficient, but otherwise, you may need to apply something else along with it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2024
As soon as you apply it, you can feel a refreshing cooling effect and it absorbs well into the skin. You can immediately see it calming heat and redness. Even though I have oily skin, I felt the hydration was lacking. It dries quickly like aloe gel, leaving a dry feeling. It might be suitable for oily skin types during summer. When my skin felt itchy and like something was about to break out after finishing my skincare routine, I applied it thickly like a mask and it quickly soothed my skin.
