First off, I love that it's made by a pharmaceutical company, which gives me peace of mind when using it. Surprisingly, my super sensitive skin didn't put up much of a fight! I've tried various toners, but this one seems to have the lightest, most water-like texture. It doesn't feel heavy at all, making it perfect for layering with other products. The scent... the alcohol smell is a bit strong, unfortunately. Also, right after application, there's a slight burning sensation? I've experienced a bit of tingling, so I've sometimes followed up immediately with a serum. Those with super sensitive skin or blemish-prone complexions might want to keep this in mind... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 22, 2023
This toner has a viscous texture that effectively delivers hydration to the skin. The scent isn't a pure mugwort fragrance, but rather has a somewhat artificial smell, which is why I stopped using it after a few applications. If you don't mind the scent, you might find it suitable for your skincare routine. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSep 15, 2023
The hydration and absorption were definitely impressive The amount is small, and it keeps running down, making it difficult to wipe off. Also, there's a slightly artificial scent that lingers - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSep 7, 2023
It's a sebum-controlling toner, but it has a rich, bouncy texture that doesn't leave your skin feeling dry underneath It's unscented, but there's a hint of something that smells like alcohol or maybe fruit. It's not unpleasant though - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 18, 2023
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin / Blemishes / Frown lines / Redness / Red scars Used as the first toner after cleansing: 1st as an exfoliating toner, 2nd applied by hand • Texture 👍👍 A flowing water-like texture without any rich feeling Initially feels hydrating on the skin, but seems to evaporate quickly The most refreshing finish among all the low pH toners I've used As I prefer products with hydration, it felt decent overall • Blemish improvement 👍👍👍 !May not be accurate due to short-term use! Immediate effects were noticeable on closed comedones Usually when I get closed comedones, sebum gets trapped in dead skin cells, almost like whiteheads, but during the toner usage period, it seemed to exfoliate well. As soon as closed comedones formed, hard sebum would surface, allowing for immediate removal Larger, pustular pimples might need more time to assess Couldn't calm them down in such a short period • Packaging 👍👍👍👍 Although the volume is small, the size offers a good grip, and the slightly weighty cap makes it pleasant and easy to use • Scent, Fragrance Alcohol smell noticeable upon opening The distinctive alcohol scent you get when spraying body mists is immediately present when you open the cap Since NOSKANA9 Trouble Cream worked so well for my skin, I might have had high expectations, making this feel just okay Seems to target oily, blemish-prone skin Might not provide enough hydration for combination dehydrated skin..! Would be good to apply alongside a product with a balanced oil and moisture ratio to address deep dryness - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 13, 2023
Two-week review In the morning before my work makeup, I used it like an exfoliating toner by applying it with a cotton pad. Then I patted it into my face with my hands to help it absorb! Irritation: 5/5 I have super sensitive skin. Usually, just changing my skincare products can cause blemishes. However, I was pleased that I could use this without any irritation - it was very gentle on my skin! Texture: 5/5 Just like other toners, it has a very watery consistency, making it feel fresh and not sticky at all. It absorbed well into my skin, which I loved. Effectiveness: 4/5 To be completely honest, after one week of use, I didn't notice any significant reduction in skin texture or blemishes. I think I need to use it longer to see those effects. However, I found it really effective for soothing my skin. After swimming, when my skin was red and sunburnt, I applied this toner. It helped control oil, had a nice cooling effect, and calmed my skin! I usually have a lot of redness, and this seems to cool and soothe it nicely. Improvement of skin texture: 3/5 Maybe because I haven't been using it for long, I haven't seen much improvement in this area yet. Scent: 3/5 It smells a bit medicinal! I would prefer if it were fragrance-free. I found that making toner pads and storing them in the fridge for a cooling effect seemed to enhance its effectiveness. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2023
(Oily/blemish-prone/not sensitive skin) 1. Application ★★★★☆ - Applies smoothly like other toners - Feels slightly oily if you apply too much - Usually I layer toner 5-7 times without applying anything else, but with this product, even just 3 layers make my face super oily the next day... I could probably fry an egg on it... - Absorbs well 2. Scent ★★★☆☆ - Has a somewhat chemical smell, like lime water? - Slightly bothersome when applying 3. Volume ★★★★★ - The amount is surprisingly generous - Even with morning and evening 5-7 skin method, only used up 1/4 after a week 4. Effectiveness ★★★★☆ - Doesn't show outstanding results for soothing blemishes - No noticeable improvement in scar reduction - Overall skin feels cleaner - Complexion seems more even - Doesn't prevent breakouts (but I'm naturally blemish-prone) --Total-- ★★★★☆ - Gives a clean feeling to the face - Applies well - Dislike the scent - Probably won't repurchase 1. The scent really smells like lime water, which is off-putting 2. Stings if it gets in your eyes. It's an unpleasant, irritating sting... For summer, it's good to cool down your skin temperature, so try storing the product in the fridge before use. (Not sure how this might affect the ingredients though) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2023
I've been using this product for about a week since receiving it. The toner's lightweight formula makes it perfect for summer use. It's not sticky and works well when gently wiped with a cotton pad. The bottle opening is just right - not too wide or narrow - allowing you to easily tilt and apply it directly to your face. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product. While I'm happy with the product, the scent was a bit off-putting at first. It's like a medicinal smell... I didn't notice this with Fation's cleansing water, but this one has a subtle yet strange pharmaceutical odor despite seeming unscented. I didn't experience any blemishes, but I didn't see the dead skin cell removal or soothing effects as described in the product description. Maybe I'll notice some benefits after finishing the whole bottle, but for now, I don't see any. You can use it in various ways - tilting the bottle to let it flow onto your face, or soaking a cotton pad and leaving it on for a bit. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 7, 2023
I'm writing this review as part of The Hwahae Testers. ⭐️For dry and super sensitive skin⭐️ ✓Hydration/Texture: The water-based formula applies smoothly and lightly, absorbs quickly, and deeply hydrates the skin. ✓Irritation: Almost no irritation experienced. ✓Packaging: The bottle dispenses just the right amount of toner (compared to other products). ✓Effectiveness: It effectively removes dead skin cells, making makeup application smoother. ✗It feels a bit light for winter use. However, it's great for casual use in summer. ✗The slight coconut scent is a bit disappointing. ✗The blemish-calming effect wasn't noticeably visible. Layering it multiple times gives a deeply hydrating feeling, which is great. It's excellent at removing dead skin cells, making it perfect to use before applying makeup! While I wouldn't recommend it specifically for calming blemishes, it's a good choice as a lightweight toner. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2023
✓ My skin type: Combination dehydrated skin (oily T-zone with whiteheads, U-zone not too dry but occasional dead skin cells, deep dryness). Super sensitive skin. Doesn't react well to fermented ingredients, acids, or exfoliants. ✓ Texture: Closer to water but with a viscosity between water and mucus. It doesn't evaporate quickly, leaving skin neither dry nor sticky! Wish I could attach a video, but a photo will have to do... Compared to Anu* Heartleaf pads, which leave a slightly tacky coating that feels a bit uncomfortable before bed. Dok* toner-type products are gentle but evaporate too quickly to provide much hydration. Noskana9 strikes the perfect balance between these. ✓ Absorption: Absorbs cleanly without residue or coating! Feels light yet deeply hydrating. (As shown in the photo, it forms droplets on the skin, but after application, it's deeply hydrating and absorbs cleanly) ✓ Makeup compatibility: Surprisingly, even when used as the only skincare step after cleansing (skipping sunscreen and other products), it didn't cause any dryness or patchiness. Very impressive! I used Es* Bivelvet Foundation Cushion. Despite classifying myself as combination dehydrated, my skin is more combination with dryness except in the T-zone. Even so, it didn't feel dry at all! + I usually only use one type of toner or serum, as layering multiple products tends to feel heavy and cause blemishes for me. This may vary for others. ✓ Overall experience: My skin is extremely sensitive, prone to contact dermatitis and blemishes from even slightly unsuitable products. Even famous 'gentle' products can be risky for me. So I was worried about the exfoliating complex in this product, but surprisingly, it's very gentle. I'm doubly satisfied! ✓ Scent: Not strong, but there's a subtle, peculiar alcohol-like scent reminiscent of some acne-fighting products. It's noticeable at first, but becomes nearly undetectable after application. I prefer fragrance-free products, so this is a minor drawback that might be hit-or-miss for some users. While it's a toner, I recommend using it with a cotton pad to gently wipe the skin, then pat for absorption, rather than applying directly. (Sponge-type cotton pads like Siru* or Unich* work better than regular cotton pads) For combination to oily skin, this could be sufficient as a standalone product in summer. For dry skin, it provides enough hydration that you might only need a light moisturizer afterwards for skin texture improvement and hydration. The product efficacy is truly impressive!
