The texture is incredibly watery, and I always come back to this toner whenever my skin acts up. It's amazing how blemishes calm down in just a week! I really urge everyone to try this. I've never seen a product that reduces blemishes and redness so quickly before. It's truly remarkable! It does sting quite a bit if it gets in your eyes, so be careful. The results are most noticeable in the first week, with dramatic improvements. After that, the effects seem to become more subtle over time. This toner appears to be particularly effective for those dealing with blemishes and redness. Its watery consistency makes it easy to apply, but users should be cautious to avoid eye contact. While the initial results are impressive, the long-term effects may vary. It's worth noting that this product could be especially beneficial for those with super sensitive skin or those prone to irritation. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2024
It's gentle on acne-prone skin with no irritation. I'm on my second bottle now, and I can definitely feel my blemishes calming down. The only slight downside is that it stings a bit if it gets in your eyes. But if I had to nitpick, that's the only issue - overall, it's quite mild in my opinion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 14, 2024
1. Not watery and provides great hydration 2. Contains skin-friendly ingredients 3. Fragrance-free, which is a plus 1. Can cause irritation if it gets into the eyes 2. Not the best value for money - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 20, 2023
I think this product was quite effective. I applied it during a period when I was experiencing a lot of blemishes, and it seemed to have a calming effect. The scent wasn't bothersome either. With its water-like consistency, it absorbed well into my skin. It stings if it gets into your eyes. If you have dry skin like me, using this toner alone can be drying. I recommend applying this product by gently cupping your cheeks with your hands, then moving to the eye area, and finally the chin. For those with dry skin, it might be beneficial to finish with a gentle, hydrating product to lock in moisture. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2023
(Oily/blemish-prone/not sensitive skin) 1. Application ★★★★☆ - Applies smoothly like other toners - Feels slightly oily if you apply too much - Usually I layer toner 5-7 times without applying anything else, but with this product, even just 3 layers make my face super oily the next day... I could probably fry an egg on it... - Absorbs well 2. Scent ★★★☆☆ - Has a somewhat chemical smell, like lime water? - Slightly bothersome when applying 3. Volume ★★★★★ - The amount is surprisingly generous - Even with morning and evening 5-7 skin method, only used up 1/4 after a week 4. Effectiveness ★★★★☆ - Doesn't show outstanding results for soothing blemishes - No noticeable improvement in scar reduction - Overall skin feels cleaner - Complexion seems more even - Doesn't prevent breakouts (but I'm naturally blemish-prone) --Total-- ★★★★☆ - Gives a clean feeling to the face - Applies well - Dislike the scent - Probably won't repurchase 1. The scent really smells like lime water, which is off-putting 2. Stings if it gets in your eyes. It's an unpleasant, irritating sting... For summer, it's good to cool down your skin temperature, so try storing the product in the fridge before use. (Not sure how this might affect the ingredients though) - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 3, 2023
As a student, I used to get acne on my T-zone, but now as an adult, it's popped up on my U-zone, along with a bunch of tiny blemishes I never had before. I'm currently going through the worst skin phase of my life. I'd been keeping an eye on this brand after hearing about its effectiveness for acne on Olive Young and YouTube. When I saw this toner was part of an event, I immediately applied and was thrilled to be selected! 📍 Texture Exfoliation is crucial for calming oily summer skin and those pesky tiny blemishes. This toner contains ingredients that help with dead skin cell removal. Its water-like consistency makes it better suited as an absorbing toner rather than an exfoliating one. Most importantly, as you can see from the ingredients list on Hwahae, it's free from harmful substances, so it didn't cause any additional blemishes! 📍 Scent There doesn't seem to be any artificial fragrance. I'm not particularly sensitive to scents and can tolerate even unpleasant ones, but this just smells like plain water. 📍 Effectiveness Since I used this product as part of The Hwahae Testers program, the usage period was short, so I didn't see any dramatic effects. However, I didn't feel like my blemishes were getting worse. I think I'll need to use it longer to see if it truly calms or eliminates blemishes. Due to the exfoliating ingredients, you might feel a slight tightness in your skin, but I didn't experience any major irritation. Be careful not to get it in your eyes as it can sting. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2023
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I've made this a staple in my routine after trying it out. It has a water-like texture! Instead of using it as an exfoliating toner, I used it as an absorption toner and pack toner, which really helps control blemishes. I applied it after extracting acne! I soaked a toner pad generously and placed it on problem areas, removing it once absorbed. I have combination and blemish-prone skin, with most breakouts in oily areas. Since it's summer, I didn't apply anything else - the less you apply when you have many blemishes, the better. After using it as a pack toner, my skin is noticeably calmed the next day. Using it this way, half my blemishes disappeared in just a few days. It's truly an excellent product. The downside is that it stings if it gets in your eyes, which made me a bit wary of using it as an absorption toner. Be careful when using it as an absorption toner, as it really hurts if it gets in your eyes. There's a slight scent, but it's not bothersome. It's also a bit pricey, and there are rarely any discounts. After trying it out with The Hwahae Testers, I found it to be such an amazing product that I eagerly waited for a discount, but they didn't offer any. I think it would work well with just a light application of moisturizer! I didn't use it in the morning, only as part of my evening skincare routine. For me, using it as an absorption toner worked best. In summer, I finished with a light layer of ampoule (mostly Wellage, though I haven't settled on an ampoule yet), and in winter, I'm applying Dr.G Blemish Cream afterwards. I recommend using it as an absorption toner or pack toner rather than an exfoliating toner! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 1, 2023
1. Refreshing texture It has a very water-like consistency, but I loved how well it absorbs into the skin. Personally, I prefer light, watery toners like this in summer, so I think it would be great for use during the warmer months. 1. Causes eye irritation I'm someone who rarely experiences eye irritation, but with the Fation toner, I felt some discomfort around my eyes, which was disappointing. 2. Lack of soothing effect I understand that Fation products focus on calming blemishes, but in my short-term use, I didn't really notice any soothing effects, unfortunately. 3. Steep pricing I think this is a common characteristic of Fation products - they're on the pricier side, and even when there are sales, the discounts aren't significant enough to catch my eye. I used it as a patting toner, but for those looking for a soothing effect, you might want to try using it as a mask pack! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJul 6, 2023
✓ Watery texture Perfect as an exfoliating toner and for toner masking, which is exactly how I wanted to use it. ✓ Gentle ingredients Worked well even for my sensitive skin. Usually, toners can cause immediate redness and irritation for me, but I've been using this one without any adverse reactions. ✓ Fragrance-free There's no unpleasant scent that might make it uncomfortable to use. I'd say it's essentially fragrance-free. ✓ Soothing effect I tried it as a toner mask, and it even helped calm down my skin that had become red from sun exposure. I'm quite satisfied with this level of effectiveness. ✓ It stung terribly when it got into my eyes. Of course, this was an accident, and the product isn't meant to go in your eyes. But it really did sting a lot. I advise everyone to be careful. Other than that, I can't think of any particular drawbacks. It was truly a very safe, reliable product. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 18, 2023
It's incredibly refreshing. Among all the toners I've tried, this one feels the most invigorating. It seems to effectively control excess oil. Ever since I started using this, my face has been feeling a tingling sensation. It's especially uncomfortable when I use it after cleansing oil - the burning sensation becomes intense.
