Impressive brightening effect. As a mineral-based brightening moisturizer with SPF, it's perfect for quickly applying in the morning before heading out.
ConsThis product makes my skin feel particularly suffocated. I had a good experience with the original brightening moisturizer with SPF during summer, so I thought the moisture version might work well in winter. Unfortunately, it was too oily for summer use and too stifling for winter, making it a useless purchase. To make matters worse, it sits on top of the skin, constantly transferring onto clothes, and when I try to apply base makeup over it, everything pills.
TipIf you apply it sparingly... in small, divided amounts, it's somewhat manageable to wear out.

ConsWhen applying makeup, it tends to pill a bit. It also leaves a slightly white cast

If you don't have many areas to cover on your skin and you're looking for a sunscreen with brightening effects for a foundation-free summer look, I highly recommend this. Unlike some products that students use which can make you look unnaturally white, this gives you a light skin-beige tone that naturally complements your complexion. It provides a beautiful glow and evens out your skin tone - it's really good!
ConsThe powdery texture means that if you don't moisturize well beforehand, you might experience some pilling around the sides of your nose or under your chin.

I had high expectations for this trusted Dr.G sunscreen. ✅ Overall Review While the texture seems rich, it applies very moisturizing and smooth. Unlike most mineral sunscreens, it doesn't have that stiff feeling, so I was very satisfied with how it absorbs. With my combination dehydrated skin, I usually apply a very hydrating base (maybe even too hydrating?). Initially, when I applied this product over my usual routine, there was slight pilling... 😭 I found it adheres better with a lighter base. So, at first, I wasn't satisfied with the product. However! While pondering how to use it better, I tried applying my usual Green Mild Up sunscreen first, then lightly layering this product on top - and it was a perfect match! This method actually improved adherence with no pilling. The Green Mild Up has a slightly powdery finish which I sometimes found lacking, but this product feels slightly oily, so they complement each other well. Using both together made my skin feel more hydrated than using either alone, and I was really satisfied with this combination. But you need to be careful with the amount - apply it thinly, as using too much can cause slight pilling. The brightening effect is natural, just one shade lighter, not like becoming a white flour doll! It's great for evening out the tone between my neck and face after makeup. As someone with sensitive, easily clogged skin, I'm very concerned about post-use blemishes, but I didn't get any during the entire usage period! Even when I accidentally slept without cleansing one day, there were no blemishes... For a vegan and mineral sunscreen to have this level of absorption and effectiveness, I'm quite satisfied. Dr.G truly is the go-to for sunscreens!
ConsThe slight pilling is a bit disappointing, but understandable given it's a clean ingredient product!
TipApply Green Mild Up Sun first, then lightly layer this product on top to finish! (Amount control is essential!)

I typically only apply sunscreen instead of makeup for my daily routine. While my usual product has a blue tint, this one has a slight pink undertone. It gives a cleaner complexion just by applying it alone, without making my face look unnaturally white. I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this one isn't overpowering, making it comfortable to use. Most importantly, it absorbs well with a hydrating feel, making it suitable for those with dry or combination dehydrated skin.
ConsI know sunscreen should be applied generously, but when I did so, there was some pilling. The regular price is 32,000 won, which might be a bit steep without a discount.

Cons- Not as hydrating as expected - May settle into fine lines on dry skin - Applying too much at once leads to slow absorption and pilling - Skin becomes slightly oily after a while - Feels like the amount is a bit small for daily use
Tip- Make sure to moisturize well and apply in small, multiple layers! Then, use a damp makeup sponge for a dewy skin look. This method allows for beautiful makeup application.

Especially with physical sunscreens, there's often that typical 'mask-like' feeling on the skin, but not with this product. It's non-irritating and truly gentle. * Evens skin tone, decent coverage I don't wear daily makeup, just sunscreen. Even with low white-cast products, there's always some whitening effect. This product, as shown in the photo, has a BB cream-like texture that feels like a BB cream + sunscreen combo when applied. It's unrealistic to expect foundation-like coverage from a sunscreen, and I prioritize sun protection with coverage as a bonus. For someone like me who only used sunscreen before, the coverage and tone-evening effect are quite satisfactory. A big plus is that it doesn't make you look ghostly white like other sunscreens.
Cons* The dryness from physical sunscreens seems unavoidable * While I'm satisfied, those expecting more coverage might find it lacking 🔴 Review after 2 months of use 🔴 * It's drying and clings to the skin, causing pilling after application.. You need to pay extra attention to your skincare routine * There seems to be a slight darkening effect as time passes.
Tip* With physical sunscreens, you'll need to focus on a solid skincare routine to combat the dryness. 🔴 Tip: Mix this product with a sunscreen that has either a white cast or good spreadability for better results 🔴

However, Dr.G doesn't have that issue, so I've been using it religiously. It's a product I was already familiar with, so when I was chosen for The Hwahae Testers, I've been putting it to good use! There's no white cast, and thanks to its natural brightening and pore-refining effects, I use it like a primer before applying makeup.
ConsSince sunscreen is a daily essential, it runs out quickly. It's quite pricey outside of drugstore sales. If it doesn't adhere well, it can cause slight pilling with makeup.
TipIt's a good idea to stock up on two during frequent drugstore sales. Applying it with a damp sponge prevents foundation from pilling and allows for a more hydrating application.
