Impressive brightening effect. As a mineral-based brightening moisturizer with SPF, it's perfect for quickly applying in the morning before heading out.
ConsThis product makes my skin feel particularly suffocated. I had a good experience with the original brightening moisturizer with SPF during summer, so I thought the moisture version might work well in winter. Unfortunately, it was too oily for summer use and too stifling for winter, making it a useless purchase. To make matters worse, it sits on top of the skin, constantly transferring onto clothes, and when I try to apply base makeup over it, everything pills.
TipIf you apply it sparingly... in small, divided amounts, it's somewhat manageable to wear out.

ConsDoesn't absorb into the skin and leaves visible marks where applied As time passes after application, it severely separates, making the skin look messy Fails to absorb, clumps up, and noticeably settles into creases like eyelid folds
TipEven if you let your skincare absorb well, it still looks very patchy when applied. Tapping it with a puff after application helps it adhere somewhat better.

The shade blends well with the skin, providing an overall natural tone correction and brightening effect. It was particularly helpful in evening out facial redness and flushing. No blemishes Despite containing active ingredients, I didn't experience any notable skin irritation during the usage period. No dryness (may vary individually) Separate from the issue of pilling, even when applying the recommended amount of sunscreen, I didn't feel the typical tightness that often comes with mineral sunscreens as time passes. My skin felt comfortable, which was great!
ConsPilling Over time, it became noticeable that the product was settling into pores, especially around the nose. While using less product might solve this, it's unfortunate since we need to use about two finger-lengths of sunscreen. You might need to apply a solid base or touch up throughout the day like you would with makeup. Initially, I applied two finger-lengths as recommended, but this led to pilling issues and seemed to create a thick layer on the skin. Using more than a certain amount also made it feel like it wasn't absorbing well. Now, I first apply a layer of lightweight chemical sunscreen, followed by just one finger-length of this product. The ideal amount may vary depending on individual skin conditions, but one finger-length seems to work best for me.
TipIt seems to work well as a foundation-free option when used in combination with a chemical sunscreen to adjust the amount!

Some sunscreens can feel unpleasantly greasy on the surface while making your skin feel tight underneath, but that wasn't the case with the Dr.G product. Despite my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any blemishes. As someone who usually breaks out with pimples after 2-3 consecutive days of sunscreen use, I was able to apply this daily for an entire week. I appreciated how natural it made my skin tone look. Since I don't usually wear makeup, I've found sunscreens that leave a strong white cast or are completely transparent a bit disappointing. This one gave my complexion a subtle brightening effect while still feeling sheer. While I can't say I'm completely satisfied due to the drawbacks mentioned below, it feels like a product that gets the basics right.
ConsPerhaps due to my skin type, I did notice some accentuation of dead skin cells and product settling into pores. However, it wasn't to the point of looking dirty or unsightly - it just felt like it was sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing. As someone who usually goes bare-faced, this felt a bit heavy for me. It does transfer onto masks.
TipFor those with similar skin types to mine, make sure to let your skincare products absorb fully before applying this sunscreen. If you apply it immediately after your routine, you might experience more transfer onto your mask.
