This is one of the Nth items I've used. As it is a Hwahae-certified product, I could use it with confidence in terms of its ingredients, and most importantly, the tone-up effect was natural and not sticky, so it was good to use daily. When applied, it absorbs well into the skin without a whitish, chalky feeling, and it brightens and evens out the skin's natural tone, making it perfect as a "no-makeup, yet looks good" base. Especially when used before makeup, even with a thin layer of base, the skin tone is evenly refined, so the makeup goes on more cleanly. When I use this, I often hear compliments about my good skin. Although the moisturizing power is not very high, on days when the skin is very dry, there may be flaking or emphasis of dead skin. It is essential to apply and use a moisturizing cream sufficiently to achieve a smooth application. Also, since there is almost no pore coverage, if you expect a base function, it may be somewhat disappointing. Using a puff or sponge rather than your hands will result in a much thinner and more even skin tone application. After my skincare routine, I apply a small amount of moisturizer onto a puff and gently dab it onto my skin. This gives a much more natural and seamless finish without any patchiness. I recommend mixing it with sunscreen since it doesn't have any UV protection. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinFeb 23, 2025
I started using this last summer around June-July. I found that applying too much can make it look cakey, while using a bit less makes it stick to the skin. I realized it's better to apply it lightly, especially on areas like elbows, rather than trying to be too thorough. Overall, I'm more satisfied than I expected! It's great at brightening even very dark complexions. I was disappointed by how much it accentuated dead skin cells. It was also frustrating that it runs a bit like a toner, meaning you have to apply it quickly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 18, 2024
Unlike heavy foundations that can make skin look messy, this brightening moisturizer naturally illuminates my complexion, giving me a healthy, radiant look. When it breaks down, it does so in an unflattering way, settling into pores and emphasizing dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 1, 2024
I loved how the emulsion formula applied so naturally. It brightens the complexion by about half to one shade. I initially bought the 80ml size, but found it ran out quicker than expected when applying to arms and neck twice. I plan to repurchase a larger size next time. I used to always apply sunscreen separately, but this product has UV protection built-in, so I don't need to use an additional sunscreen - which is great! On very hot and dry days, layering it multiple times showed a slight emphasis on dead skin cells. It wasn't noticeable enough to be bothersome though, and this effect didn't occur in milder weather conditions, so it was fine overall. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 23, 2024
- Skin type: #22 warm tone/combination/butterfly zone pores/U-zone prone to dead skin cells The moisturizing formula applies smoothly and evenly. It spreads well even when applied with hands like a skincare product, without clumping or pilling. My eyes are sensitive, so I usually avoid organic/hybrid sunscreens, but this product didn't cause any eye irritation or blemishes. Another advantage is that it's a brightening moisturizer with sun protection, so you don't need to apply a separate sunscreen. Of course, the SPF isn't very high, so it's better to apply additional sun protection. For me, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. I'm prone to flaking on my cheeks, and I can't exfoliate every day... If I'm a bit careless with my skincare routine or don't exfoliate for a few days, my cheeks inevitably end up with visible white flakes. If it were skin-toned like foundation, it might be less noticeable, but the white color makes it look more messy and obvious. Since my natural complexion isn't particularly light, this white brightening moisturizer doesn't seem to suit me well. I was hoping for something that would brighten my skin tone more naturally than a mineral sunscreen, but it doesn't seem much different from applying one. It does brighten somewhat, but it's still obvious that I've applied a white product. This product seems like it would be very satisfying for those with a fair complexion and skin free of dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 10, 2023
The brightening moisturizer works well and applies smoothly. I love how the packaging is convenient to use. It emphasizes dead skin cells and makes them noticeable. It sits on top of the skin, looking unnatural. Absolutely avoid applying makeup after using this. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinNov 13, 2023
Before using this product, I had gone through about two bottles of KSNL pink brightening moisturizer. I switched to this one after seeing good reviews, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! The previous product I used had a slight pilling effect and would separate in areas with more oil like around the nose and chin, making it look patchy over time. This made it less than ideal for a natural, bare-faced look. But this product? It feels like I'm applying a really smooth sunscreen or emulsion! There's no pilling or separation at all. It has a lovely, lightweight, hydrating feel that adheres well to the skin. It evens out my complexion beautifully, giving me a natural, radiant look. It even manages to tone down redness to a soft, healthy-looking flush. I've been using it for my no-makeup days and it's perfect! It doesn't feel sticky at all, even when applied to the neck or hands. I can't recommend it enough! Plus, it offers some UV protection, so I often use it on its own during the day without any other base makeup. That's probably why I reach for it so often! + Update after using more than half the bottle: As I continued using it, I noticed that depending on my skin condition, there could be some emphasis on dead skin cells or slight pilling. When my redness was particularly bad, it would sometimes create a whitish cast over the redness, which made me feel like I might have been better off not applying anything at all. During seasonal changes when my skin isn't at its best, I find myself reaching for it less often. These days, I mainly use it on my neck to even out my skin tone when I'm wearing makeup. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2023
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin with cheek redness, contact and seborrheic dermatitis (flares up during menstrual cycle, when immunity is low, or with unsuitable skincare products), blemishes, and super sensitive oily skin! Usage period: 8 days Feel and benefits: - Light, emulsion-like texture - Quick and easy to apply - Suitable amount if you don't frequently use brightening moisturizers - Great for applying before makeup or sunscreen that doubles as a makeup base - If your skin is too sensitive for face application, it's perfect for evening out neck tone - Hygienic packaging allows for clean use and storage Scent and formula: - Fragrance-free, light emulsion texture No dramatic tone difference before and after application. - However, it naturally brightens the complexion by one shade without leaving a chalky cast. Slight settling into fine lines and emphasis on dead skin cells - Easy to use if you maintain basic exfoliation and oil-moisture balance The regular price is a bit high for what it offers If your skin is too sensitive for just any brightening moisturizer, I recommend trying this to naturally even out your neck tone - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2023
Skin type: Combination (oily T-zone + dry elsewhere) I love that this brightening moisturizer covers my pores to some extent, so I don't even need to use cushion foundation. It's perfect for everyday use! Even though I have dry skin and usually need a moisturizing cushion to avoid flaking, this product has enough hydration that it doesn't flake at all when applied over a solid skincare routine. The application is smooth, which I really appreciate. Plus, it has sun protection, making it great for quick outings without needing separate sunscreen. I was worried it might make my face too white based on some reviews, but when I applied it in thin layers, it gave a natural brightening effect. Quick summary: 1. Surprisingly moisturizing for a brightening moisturizer. 2. Slight pilling due to its brightening nature. 3. Highlights dead skin cells if skin texture isn't prepped. 4. Gives a natural brightening effect, perfect for daily wear. 5. Can double as sunscreen thanks to its sun protection function. The downside is that it can be a bit drying, which is typical for brightening moisturizers. However, this isn't an issue if you have a solid skincare routine underneath. Also, it can highlight dead skin cells in areas like the T-zone if you don't prep your skin texture, so it's best to exfoliate before use. For dry skin, apply toner, emulsion, essence, and cream before using this product. However, be careful not to apply too many layers of skincare products, as it can cause pilling and sliding. It's best to wait for each layer to absorb before applying the next. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinOct 15, 2023
My skin is combination dehydrated and extremely oily, so even with makeup, my skin tone would quickly fade due to excess oil, making touch-ups essential! However, when I applied this brightening moisturizer after sunscreen and before makeup, my complexion didn't fade and stayed put nicely! The texture visibly releases moisture droplets when you rub it in, making it perfect for skin that's becoming dry like mine. The scent is a subtle baby body emulsion-like fragrance that I think most people will enjoy, and it brightens your complexion without leaving a white cast! While I didn't experience any blemishes after use and liked it overall, one downside was that, like other brightening moisturizers I've tried, it tended to accentuate dead skin cells around my nose and between my eyebrows, which was a bit disappointing. Apart from highlighting dead skin cells, I'm completely satisfied. For best results when applying this brightening moisturizer, instead of using your hands, try patting it on gently with a makeup puff!
