1. Not drying Unlike other brightening moisturizers that feel fine at first but gradually dry out, causing flaky skin and visible white patches of dead skin cells, this product doesn't have that issue as much, which I really appreciate. 2. Absorbs well The texture is somewhat like whipped cream, making it easy to spread on the face even with a small amount. 3. Pump dispenser It's hygienic, and the pump dispenses just the right amount each time, making it easy to control how much you use. 1. Not suitable for darker skin tones As someone with a medium skin tone, when I apply this product, it feels like I'm wearing a sunscreen with too much white cast. So, those with darker complexions might find it challenging to achieve a natural brightening effect. Since I have a medium skin tone, applying this product alone makes my skin look a bit too pale. I mix it with my regular moisturizer in a 2:1 ratio, which gives a more natural brightening effect without any dryness. Also, don't forget to carefully apply the brightening moisturizer around your eyes and mouth for an even complexion! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2024
User's skin type: Combination dehydrated, acne-prone, sensitive, light-medium summer mute tone 1. Application Glides on smoothly without any stiffness 2. Hydration The excellent absorption is partly due to its hydrating properties 3. Subtle brightening Provides a natural-looking brightening effect 1. Longevity Doesn't last very long and tends to settle slightly into pores Works well for evening out neck tone - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 16, 2024
Skin type: Dry and sensitive, with acne-prone areas around the chin. Positives: Some products dispense too much, making it hard to control the amount. However, this one pumps out just the right amount, allowing for easy application control. When applied to the face, it goes on smoothly and subtly brightens the skin, making it perfect for those days when you're not confident going out bare-faced. When used under makeup, it noticeably brightens the complexion, giving a radiant look. Drawbacks: The main issue, which is quite significant, is that it pills even without makeup on top. It tends to clump around the edges of the face, requiring me to wipe it off before applying makeup. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 23, 2024
- Skin type: #22 warm tone/combination/butterfly zone pores/U-zone prone to dead skin cells The moisturizing formula applies smoothly and evenly. It spreads well even when applied with hands like a skincare product, without clumping or pilling. My eyes are sensitive, so I usually avoid organic/hybrid sunscreens, but this product didn't cause any eye irritation or blemishes. Another advantage is that it's a brightening moisturizer with sun protection, so you don't need to apply a separate sunscreen. Of course, the SPF isn't very high, so it's better to apply additional sun protection. For me, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells. I'm prone to flaking on my cheeks, and I can't exfoliate every day... If I'm a bit careless with my skincare routine or don't exfoliate for a few days, my cheeks inevitably end up with visible white flakes. If it were skin-toned like foundation, it might be less noticeable, but the white color makes it look more messy and obvious. Since my natural complexion isn't particularly light, this white brightening moisturizer doesn't seem to suit me well. I was hoping for something that would brighten my skin tone more naturally than a mineral sunscreen, but it doesn't seem much different from applying one. It does brighten somewhat, but it's still obvious that I've applied a white product. This product seems like it would be very satisfying for those with a fair complexion and skin free of dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2023
I usually go for a foundation-free makeup look daily, so I mainly use brightening moisturizers or tone-up sunscreens. This product absorbs well and evens out my skin tone naturally, making it perfect for quick application on busy mornings. Some brightening moisturizers tend to sit on the skin, requiring a lot of rubbing, but this one has an emulsion-like texture that glides on smoothly. It subtly brightens my complexion without looking cakey, making it ideal for everyday use. The SPF is on the lower side, so you definitely need to pair it with a proper sunscreen! Bam! Highly recommended for those who prefer a natural-looking glow rather than an obvious brightening effect! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2023
The Hwahae Testers Review: Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin, prone to blemishes due to lack of hydration, easily gets redness ✔️Absorbs: Glides on smoothly, quite moisturizing, perfect for seasonal transitions ✔️Staying power: Maintains a brightening effect, but in my case, there were quite a few days with pilling issues. I thought there might be a problem with my skincare routine, so I tried it with different products, but still experienced some clumping... I suspect it doesn't pair well with my current sunscreen ✔️Hydration: Especially during seasonal changes, I struggle with dryness, but this brightening moisturizer didn't feel drying at all, which was great 💚 Initially, I was very satisfied as it applied evenly without excessive brightening and felt moisturizing 💚 I always pay attention to packaging, and I was pleased with the pump bottle - it dispenses product efficiently without waste 💚 I have super sensitive skin, and incompatible products usually cause a stinging sensation and immediate redness, but this didn't cause any irritation or redness 💚 The only slight disappointment is the low SPF, requiring the application of a separate sunscreen There was some pilling, which I suspect is due to incompatibility with my sunscreen. It's a bit disappointing that the SPF is so low, necessitating the use of a separate sunscreen. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 18, 2023
I tried shade 23 for cool yellow undertones. I highly recommend this for those who dislike sticky brightening moisturizers. It applies like an excellent sunscreen or feels just like a hydrating cream - it's moisturizing and glides on smoothly! It forms little water droplets that quickly absorb into the skin. If you're looking for a natural complexion enhancer, this is perfect. Its smooth application ensures even coverage without patchiness, giving a clean and natural brightening effect! It's great for evening out your skin tone before applying foundation or cushion, and it's subtle enough to use on your body or neck. I love how it makes my skin look clear and refreshed, like I've had a good night's sleep! While it's not bad among brightening moisturizers, its longevity isn't exceptional. It seems to hold up well for about half a day. When I use it alone, I prefer it for short outings rather than a full day at work! I applied the brightening moisturizer all over, then lightly dabbed cushion foundation on the center of my face and areas I wanted more coverage! It creates a thin, even skin finish while allowing you to conceal where needed - I often used this for work. Interestingly, when I asked people if they noticed a difference in my makeup, no one realized I was wearing a brightening moisturizer! It's much more comfortable for my skin and I love its unique luminous effect. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 18, 2023
As someone with super sensitive skin that breaks out immediately if ingredients don't agree with it, I'm relieved this product didn't cause any blemishes at all! The product itself has a creamy texture that absorbs well. It applies smoothly and feels light like an emulsion, spreading easily with a moisturizing effect. It's a bit on the rich side, leaving a slight dewy finish after application. It's disappointing that the SPF is quite low, so you'll need to apply additional sunscreen. While it's a brightening moisturizer that definitely brightens and evens skin tone, keep in mind it's not a product with coverage. Also, as time passes, there's some darkening, so you'll need to reapply. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 18, 2023
As one of The Hwahae Testers, I'm excited to share my review! ✔️This is my first time using a brightening moisturizer, and I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it applies, almost like an emulsion. I was expecting a sunscreen-like texture. ✔️More importantly, I love how hygienic the packaging is!!! The opening stays clean, which is fantastic. The tube design is absolutely perfect! To be honest, as this is my first time using a brightening moisturizer, I might be mistaken, but it doesn't seem to brighten my complexion as much as I expected. It feels like a sunscreen with weak UV protection but strong brightening effects...? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 17, 2023
✨Review after using for just over a week✨ 1. Texture It has a typical brightening moisturizer ~ sunscreen texture As Nine Wishes describes it as a hydrating brightening moisturizer It's not thick, but applies lightly and moistly💦 So it glides on smoothly and absorbs easily into the skin! 2. Application The pump bottle makes it hygienic to use! It's also easy to control the amount Though light, it adheres well to the skin with a moist feel It doesn't feel heavy, so it should be great for summer use The staying power is also good Those looking for a foundation-free look will likely be satisfied True to the product description of being colorless, it doesn't transfer, which is even better As it's a white-toned brightening moisturizer It brightens your complexion by one shade regardless of your skin tone But it doesn't make you look ghostly pale, just gives a soft-focus effect Also, after applying the brightening moisturizer, there was no pilling when applying base makeup on top! 3. Scent It's close to unscented, so even those sensitive to fragrances should be able to use it comfortably It's definitely not a type that applies dryly, and while it does go on moistly, those with dry skin might find it a bit drying I don't think it would work well if you skimp on your skincare routine before applying Still, considering how moistly it applies, and its light, non-sticky finish, I think it's an excellent product Its good absorption makes it suitable for applying on the neck or other discolored areas of the body! With SPF 21, it's not particularly high in sun protection, so if you want UV protection, it might be best to apply sunscreen before using this brightening moisturizer
