As someone with combination skin, I was most worried about my T-zone breaking down, but this foundation stays fresh until the afternoon without excess oil. Even when it does start to fade, it disappears naturally without patchiness or streaking. When used with blotting papers or a setting spray, your makeup can truly last all day! - Thin and lightweight, yet provides definite coverage - Fades gracefully with excellent staying power - Semi-matte finish perfect for combination skin - Creates a luxurious skin appearance (balancing glow and a matte finish) - May feel a bit too matte for those with dry skin - The puff applicator is somewhat large, making it tricky to apply in delicate areas like around the eyes and nose - On the pricier side (but totally worth it considering the quality!) This foundation seems to be a great option for those with combination skin who struggle with oiliness in the T-zone. It offers a balance between coverage and comfort, with a finish that controls oil without looking flat. The natural fade-off is particularly impressive, as many foundations can look patchy or uneven as they wear away. While it may not be the best choice for very dry skin types, its performance on combination skin appears to be excellent. The price point might be a consideration for some, but many users seem to find the quality justifies the cost. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2025
The expression is impressive. As soon as it is applied, it adheres closely to the skin and the breakdown is also beautiful, and the coverage is excellent, so when used on special days, it gives a sense of confidence. Even when it breaks down, it does not clump or become messy, and it naturally transforms into a radiant finish, so touch-ups are not burdensome. It is moisturizing yet finishes with a powdery feel, so it was perfect for combination skin, and the pore coverage was quite good as well. Time tends to cause a slight darkening, so it's best to apply it one shade lighter than desired initially. It's also on the pricier side, so using it daily may be burdensome. The puff's durability is somewhat weak, so frequent cleaning or replacement may be necessary. When making corrections, gently dab on a small amount with a puff, and it will cover without becoming too thick. There will be hardly any visible signs of reapplication, resulting in a very neat finish. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 8, 2025
While it doesn't provide exceptional coverage, this Yves Saint Laurent cushion gives your skin a naturally beautiful look! I've tried other cushions, but YSL's feels more natural and gives a lovely glow. That's why I keep buying refills! The lid tends to break easily, and if you prioritize coverage, I wouldn't recommend it! This product works well for those seeking a natural finish and Inner Glow, rather than heavy coverage. It's great for evening out your complexion subtly. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMay 4, 2025
This is the best cushion I've ever used for skin appearance! When I go out wearing just sunscreen and this Yves Saint Laurent cushion, everyone I meet asks about my cushion because my skin looks so good. It gives a perfect glow without being overwhelming, and even when it fades, it does so naturally without looking messy. My skin looks beautiful all day long. It's like magic - even when my skin isn't at its best, this cushion applies moistly and makes it look great. The coverage is on the lighter side, so you'll need a separate concealer if you have any blemishes. The price is the biggest downside - I have to buy it every time I go to the duty-free shop. For those with blemishes, apply concealer first before using the cushion. This way, the natural glow and skin appearance won't be masked by the concealer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 29, 2025
My skin is sensitive, combination dehydrated, and generally blemish-free! The great thing about this product (based on the pre-renewal version) is that it's nicely moisturizing with just a hint of a semi-matte finish! I absolutely loved that. If you don't set it with powder, it develops a natural glow over time. The only downside, and it's a big one, is that it's ridiculously expensive! Still, I buy it every time I travel abroad. I highly recommend others to grab it at duty-free shops if you have the chance. It doesn't cover dark circles, so a concealer is a must! The coverage is very sheer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2025
I picked up the YSL Le Cushion Encre de Peau at the Incheon Airport duty-free shop. The packaging is luxurious and the name is adorably chic! The elegant exterior of the cushion compact definitely adds a touch of glamour when you're carrying it around. I gave it a perfect score for its natural glow. It's been a while since I've found a cushion that gives such a natural radiance to the skin. However, I was a bit disappointed that when used alone, the staying power isn't incredibly long-lasting. In such cases, it's best to use it in combination with other cushions or base products, focusing on achieving that luminous glow on top. Using it with other cushions or primers can significantly improve its longevity. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 23, 2025
While the coverage might be a bit less than expected, the fragrance when I first opened it was absolutely delightful! I usually use shade 20 for cushions, and although I considered buying shade 10 due to the slight color difference between my face and neck, I'm so glad I went with 20 - it blends in naturally! I was a bit nervous since I didn't check the ingredients list before purchasing, but thankfully there was only one potentially concerning ingredient, so I feel I can use it with peace of mind. I'm not sure about its staying power, but it definitely makes my skin look better, though perhaps not quite as dramatically as I had hoped. It's been a while since I've worn makeup, so maybe after some skincare, I'll notice a bigger difference! I'm planning to keep using it consistently. There was a slight issue with dead skin cells becoming more noticeable, but it's not really visible unless you look very closely. The coverage is a bit on the lower side. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinDec 8, 2024
Coverage: Surprisingly good coverage that naturally conceals even acne scars. Impressive! Adherence & Longevity: The puff applicator helps it blend seamlessly without any patchiness. It lasted for 12 hours without breaking down (except for some natural oil production). Price: Well, it's Yves Saint Laurent after all, so the cost is unavoidable. But that case is truly stunning... - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDec 5, 2024
I loved how it adhered well to my skin and provided just the right amount of coverage for a natural-looking complexion. At first, it felt moisturizing, but as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I noticed it became quite drying as time passed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2024
I bought this famous product at duty-free. My skin tone is 23, but I decided on shade 20 after some deliberation. It applies so thinly that it doesn't look awkward at all. Instead, it gives a natural brightening effect, so I think I made the right choice with the color. While you can apply it liberally without it being too noticeable, the coverage seems to be lacking as a result. Also, it dries faster than expected, so you need to spread it quickly.
