I used to think foreign foundations had bad ingredients, but using YSL changed my mind. With many Korean products, I often stop using them after a few tries because they don't suit me. This one, however, matches my skin type well and I love how hydrating it is. It's also great that it's not too oily. It feels moisturizing when applied, but dries quickly. Being shade 20, unlike when first applied, it develops a yellowish tint over time. I usually apply skincare, then brightening moisturizer, and use concealer or cushion foundation only on my cheekbones where I have dark spots. Maybe because the color is dark, it turns yellowish and doesn't provide great coverage. Still, it's nice to use as it applies thinly and is a hydrating cushion foundation. With its low SPF23/PA++, it's best to apply a moisturizing sunscreen before using this for coverage. This will keep your skin hydrated without tightness all day long. Alternatively, apply a cover stick around your eyes and mouth before using the foundation for a glowy, moisturized look. For areas that turn yellow, finishing with a white powder helps (I use Make Up For Ever products). - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2024
I bought this famous product at duty-free. My skin tone is 23, but I decided on shade 20 after some deliberation. It applies so thinly that it doesn't look awkward at all. Instead, it gives a natural brightening effect, so I think I made the right choice with the color. While you can apply it liberally without it being too noticeable, the coverage seems to be lacking as a result. Also, it dries faster than expected, so you need to spread it quickly.
