  This gel cleansing foam contains licorice root extract, which is great for soothing the skin! It's a slightly brownish-tinted transparent gel that lathers up when you add water and gently massage it. The cleanser has a mild acidic pH, but it still produces a rich, abundant foam that gives you that satisfying clean feeling! It gently exfoliates dead skin cells and calms the skin, which temporarily improves the appearance of pores. After washing, my skin felt firmer and more supple!

  I didn't really find any downsides to this product! While using it, I didn't experience any blemishes or breakouts!

  Tip

  It also contains hyaluronic acid, so I didn't have to rush to apply hydration right after cleansing! Of course, it's still beneficial to follow up quickly with a toner or serum.

  I'm sharing my review after using this product for about a week. My skin type is between dry and combination, plus I have thin and sensitive skin, so I don't exfoliate separately. Cleansing effectiveness / User experience: I usually wear light makeup and have dry skin, so I typically use a cleansing balm as an all-in-one solution. When I used this product alone, it effectively removed my daily makeup (I don't use eyeliner or mascara). Unlike liquid/oil or foam types, it doesn't drip, which I found really neat. It also felt less tight on my skin compared to foam cleansers. I knew gel types were good, but after this experience, I think I'll alternate between this and my cleansing balm from now on. Texture / Scent: It's a non-runny, bouncy gel texture (imagine a thick, pudding-like consistency when whipping meringue). The scent seems almost unscented, but it has that natural, eco-friendly smell typical of many products these days.

  The formula is an opaque licorice-colored gel texture! For my first use, I lathered it up and cleansed along my skin texture. The finish felt moisturizing yet refreshingly clean. Some low pH products for sensitive skin can have weak cleansing power, but this one actually cleanses well (which is crucial for my super oily, sebum-rich skin!). It seems to care for pores too - after cleansing, my skin texture looks better. It's like my pores even gained some elasticity. I'm usually very thorough with cleansing (I scrub with enzyme powder cleansers), so using this with a pore brush to deeply cleanse into the pores was even better. There was no irritation, no blemishes popping up, and no tingling at all! The scent is a subtle floral or herbal aroma that puts me in a good mood every morning when I cleanse. I've heard that maintaining slightly acidic skin pH is important for folliculitis... I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a low pH cleanser with good cleansing power and is concerned about pores!

Though I do feel a bit of dryness after some time has passed post-cleanse. Cleansing effectiveness 3/5 It removes base makeup (sunscreen, cushion foundation) really well. For color cosmetics, it's better suited as a second cleanse! Scent At first, it had a herbal scent, but I got used to it and used it comfortably. Texture It's got a really rich consistency - it doesn't even drip when you squeeze it onto the back of your hand and tilt it! I'd definitely repurchase if it's on sale!
