  This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. I have combination dehydrated skin that's become extremely dry lately, causing a lot of dead skin cells to appear. So I've been focusing on hydration and exfoliation. Scent: I was worried it might smell like herbal medicine due to the licorice ingredient, but it doesn't! The scent isn't strong, so I think anyone can use it without hesitation. Texture: When you squeeze it out, it's just like honey jelly! A bouncy gel formula! The foam is rich and the gel doesn't easily drip, making it convenient to use. Cleansing effectiveness: I usually only wear basic cushion foundation and lip color, and this cleanser easily removes that. After cleansing with just this foam and wiping with a toner pad, there was nothing left on the pad. Exfoliation: Recently, I've been concerned about dead skin cells, but this product is more for daily maintenance rather than dramatic effects. If you have visibly flaky skin, I'd recommend a peeling gel first. This is great for daily care though - after cleansing, your skin feels smooth and glowing! Irritation: I've been blowing my nose a lot due to a cold, so the area under my nose is raw. I was worried it might sting there while cleansing... but there was no irritation at all!

  Everything was great, but if I had to find one thing to improve... I wish it had a slightly stronger exfoliating effect!

  Tip

  It seems really good for improving skin texture! If you follow up with a toner mask after cleansing, you can achieve that coveted 'glass skin' look.

  It's a cleansing gel that lathers up amazingly well! As someone with sensitive skin, I prefer cleansers with rich foam, and this one definitely delivers. I'm very satisfied with how well it lathers. While it contains licorice extract, I can't really detect it in the scent. There's just a subtle herbal smell, which I only notice because I'm particularly sensitive to fragrances. I mainly use this as my second cleanse, and I love how it doesn't leave my skin feeling too squeaky clean or slippery. It maintains just the right amount of hydration while cleansing effectively.

  Cons

  To be honest, it doesn't feel like it completely removes sunscreen on its own, so it might be better suited as a morning cleanser or for the second step in a double cleanse. On the plus side, it doesn't cause any blemishes at all. As someone with sensitive, redness-prone skin, I've noticed that my redness seems slightly reduced after using this. I'll definitely repurchase once I've finished this bottle!

I usually use two different products - one for moisture and one for a thorough cleanse - but this one strikes such a good balance that I think it could work well for both morning and night routines. - Non-irritating I have sensitive, blemish-prone skin, but I didn't experience any irritation at all. No stinging, burning, or breakouts! - Lathers well with just a small amount Some gel foams don't lather up easily, but this one produces a good amount of foam.

  - Not extremely moisturizing (not recommended for those wanting a super hydrating cleansing foam) This was actually a plus for me, but I wouldn't recommend it to those with dry skin looking for a very moisturizing finish. - Lathering technique When creating foam, if you just squeeze it into your palm and rub, it tends to stick to your hands a bit. This is likely due to the slightly thicker gel texture. It's best to use your fingers to work up a lather so you don't end up rubbing the gel directly on your face!

  Skin type: Combination, sensitive, oily T-zone, small bumps Scent: Not unscented, more like an aromatic or floral scent? Anyway, I liked it. Cleansing effectiveness: Removes sunscreen easily. Not strong enough for cushion foundation, liquid foundation, or eye makeup. But most people use foam cleansers for their second cleanse, so this isn't really an issue. Irritation: Feels truly gentle. I have super sensitive skin that turns red and breaks out with the slightest irritation, but I had no such issues. Texture: It's a gel type, so I thought it might feel slippery, but not at all! It doesn't produce a lot of foam though. After-feel: Doesn't feel slippery at all. I liked that, but those with dry skin might feel a slight tightness. Other positives: As someone with lots of dead skin cells, I always felt like I had residue even after cleansing, but this seems to manage dead skin cells too. It's great. Highly recommend for those who find exfoliating separately bothersome!
