  This gel cleansing foam contains licorice root extract, which is great for soothing the skin! It's a slightly brownish-tinted transparent gel that lathers up when you add water and gently massage it. The cleanser has a mild acidic pH, but it still produces a rich, abundant foam that gives you that satisfying clean feeling! It gently exfoliates dead skin cells and calms the skin, which temporarily improves the appearance of pores. After washing, my skin felt firmer and more supple!

  I didn't really find any downsides to this product! While using it, I didn't experience any blemishes or breakouts!

  I've tried several cleansing foams through Hwahae, and they're all so gentle! My skin has been super sensitive for about a year, so I was scared to try new cosmetics. Fortunately, I'm still using this one without issues. The ingredients are mild, and I think it's helping improve my pores! I can personally feel the improvement. As you can see in the photo, the texture seems a bit thinner compared to other cleansing foams.

  They said it lathers well, but for me, it doesn't seem to foam up much. Because of this, I sometimes felt like it wasn't cleansing thoroughly.

  The formula is an opaque licorice-colored gel texture! For my first use, I lathered it up and cleansed along my skin texture. The finish felt moisturizing yet refreshingly clean. Some low pH products for sensitive skin can have weak cleansing power, but this one actually cleanses well (which is crucial for my super oily, sebum-rich skin!). It seems to care for pores too - after cleansing, my skin texture looks better. It's like my pores even gained some elasticity. I'm usually very thorough with cleansing (I scrub with enzyme powder cleansers), so using this with a pore brush to deeply cleanse into the pores was even better. There was no irritation, no blemishes popping up, and no tingling at all! The scent is a subtle floral or herbal aroma that puts me in a good mood every morning when I cleanse. I've heard that maintaining slightly acidic skin pH is important for folliculitis... I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a low pH cleanser with good cleansing power and is concerned about pores!

  There weren't any downsides, but for someone with extremely oily skin like me who becomes an oil slick in the peak of summer, double cleansing might be necessary.

  This is the best foam cleanser I've used in years. It's gentle yet has great cleansing effectiveness... How is that even possible? The gel texture makes it incredibly soft. Just a little rubbing with your hands creates a rich lather! The foam is dense, so it doesn't feel irritating or harsh when massaging it on your face. When I first saw the product, it looked similar to the usual low pH cleansers, so I wondered if I should only use it in the morning... or if it wouldn't work well with makeup. But I was surprised by how well it cleanses! Usually, pore care foam cleansers have exfoliating particles for deep cleansing, which can feel uncomfortable and raise environmental concerns. This product, however, is gentle yet still manages to care for pores, which I love! I typically wear sunscreen and a tinted lip balm, and I was amazed that this foam cleanser alone could remove it all without any separate cleansing step..! Usually, I have to use cleansing water or oil before foam cleansing, which can be a bit of a hassle, but this is fantastic.. I was slightly worried it might smell like herbal medicine because of the licorice in the name, but it actually has a pleasant scent, which is satisfying.

  There don't seem to be any downsides...? Oh, but because the gel itself is quite dense, you might find that while there's foam on the outside, there's still some gel remaining inside. It's both a pro and a con...? I recommend making sure you work up a good lather all the way through!
