Based on a subjective 5-star rating system, here's my review: Value for money: ★★☆ 2.5 It's pricey for the amount you get. I'll explain why I think it's expensive below. Texture: ★★☆ 2.5 Too thick to be called an ampoule. More like a thin essence, closer to an essence toner in consistency. ✔️Oily skin: Absorbs well, good for use without feeling greasy. Note: If you have combination dehydrated skin, a soothing cream is a must. ✔️Dry skin: Many reviews say it lacks hydration when used alone. ✔️Combination dehydrated skin: Good for temporary soothing, but still lacks deep hydration. Absorption: ★★★★★ 5.0 Absorbs quickly due to its thin texture. Great to use without any stickiness! Nice feel for summer essence or for combination dehydrated skin. Ingredients: ★★★ 3.0 Lots of good ingredients for oily, dry, and sensitive skin types! High concentration of key extracts boosts functionality. However, it contains rosemary leaf extract, which may irritate sensitive skin. Scent: ★★☆ 2.5 As someone sensitive to smells, I found it off-putting. It might be nice for those who enjoy fragranced products, but it made me uncomfortable applying it in the morning. This is subjective, so I've given it a middle rating. Packaging: ★★★★★ 5.0 Easy to see how much product is left 👍 Hygienic dropper makes it easy to control the amount 👍 The biggest drawback was definitely the scent. It was just too overwhelming for me. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2024
Packaging ★★★★★ The only transparent package among the serums or ampoules I'm currently using. It's great to see how much is left. The dropper is sturdy and holds the product well, which is a plus. Application ★★★★★ Spreads thinly and feels as hydrating as water. I personally like to layer my skincare, and this absorbs quickly, which I'm very satisfied with. Scent ★★★ There's a sort of herbal scent? Fragrance is subjective and might be hit or miss for some. For me, it's just okay. Value for money ★★★ At first glance, I thought it was too expensive, but comparing the actual volume with other serums I use, it's not bad. Still, the price is a bit burdensome. I'll need to use it more, but there weren't any major disappointments so far. Because it absorbs quickly, my combination dehydrated skin developed some small bumps, as if it dried out fast. This happened when I followed my usual routine, so I think it'll be fine if I apply a more hydrating moisturizer to match this serum. Since it's so hydrating, I found that applying it with a cotton pad on problem areas works well for soothing the skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinOct 21, 2024
The texture was thinner than expected and finished without any stickiness. It absorbed quickly and well, providing deep hydration that effectively combated deep dryness. Instead of using purified water, it contains noni extract which helped soothe redness. Even when layered multiple times, it didn't feel sticky and absorbed into the skin exceptionally well, making it great for calming and resolving deep dryness. I didn't experience any discomfort or disappointment while using it. The only slight concern might be the higher price point, which could be a bit burdensome. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 21, 2024
- High concentration (87.8%) of noni extract!!!! - Absorbs well when spread and massaged into the skin. - No sticky feeling. - Improves skin texture -> Visibly refines dull-looking skin, feels smoother to the touch. - Redness subsides by the next morning (including blemish-related redness). - No new blemishes after use!!!! - Generous amount of product. - Feels like it's gradually improving overall skin health. - The scent is ambiguous... Not sure if there's a fragrance or not (I have allergies, so I'm uncertain) - Price can be a bit steep without a sale As the cold winds started blowing, my face suddenly became dry, so I switched from using a hydrating moisturizer to a more nourishing cream after applying serum. To see the full effects of the serum, make sure to keep your skin well-moisturized! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 21, 2024
Lightweight hydrating ampoule texture. Absorbs well and doesn't feel heavy, so even as someone with oily skin, I found it comfortable to use. (Oily with excess oil in spring-early fall / Combination skin in fall-winter. No blemishes, pore-prone skin) The composition with noni, niacinamide, allantoin, and ceramides is quite nice. I usually thought ceramides would be heavy, but this formula is light, which works well for me. As someone with oily skin, I'm more cautious in summer, but this texture is suitable even then. I've recently incorporated this product into my skincare routine. Here's my regimen: [Mix this ampoule with a drop of Matrixyl peptide + Finish with a panthenol moisturizer + alternate days with 0.15% retinol] This combination is perfect for seasonal transitions - I'm very satisfied! Since this is mainly for soothing, I thought adding peptides would be beneficial. Finishing with a light panthenol cream creates the most functional combination for oily skin, haha. I don't usually notice the effects of soothing ingredients as I don't have blemishes, but as I increased my retinol concentration, it became quite irritating... so I realized I needed it. After using mostly cica and houttuynia cordata products, this is my second noni-based product, and it seems great for calming the skin. There wasn't anything particularly bad about it~ It seems like a product that won't be polarizing. It seems to work well when mixed with peptides. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 20, 2024
I really liked that despite being an ampoule, it has a lightweight texture. It's reassuring that noni fruit extract is the first ingredient on the list. I have combination dehydrated skin that's sensitive, and I was worried about using this ampoule after experiencing blemishes from another product. Fortunately, I was able to use it without my blemishes getting worse. It absorbs well and leaves a protective feeling on the skin. While it claims to have brightening and anti-wrinkle benefits, I'm not sure about its effectiveness. Although it absorbs well, for those with combination dehydrated skin, deep dryness sets in quickly, which is disappointing. Also, the noni scent might be hit or miss for some people. For those with combination dehydrated skin, make sure to provide ample hydration before applying the ampoule. After it absorbs, take your time to thoroughly apply a moisturizer for optimal absorption. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 20, 2024
Skin Type: Sensitive + Combination + Combination Dehydrated Occasional blemishes appear. Texture and Application: This serum has a thin consistency. It finishes with a fresh feel and absorbs incredibly quickly. Volume and Price: Currently, it's sold on the official website for $50 for 60ml. While the noni content is high (87.6%) and you get a generous amount of serum, I didn't find the effects to be dramatically impressive, so it doesn't seem particularly cost-effective to me. Overall Review and Advantages: 'Satisfactory for deep dryness, minimal stickiness, absorbs well, doesn't cause blemishes, recommended for seasonal changes, mild soothing effect' It definitely addresses deep dryness well. Despite its thin consistency and fresh finish, it provides excellent hydration. Even with just one application, I didn't feel any dryness. It absorbs so quickly that it's great for layering. However, I didn't notice a significant soothing effect. Before using it, I had some blemishes and used it for about a week with some expectations, but for my skin, the soothing effect wasn't particularly noticeable. It contains ceramides and tackles deep dryness well, so I think it's suitable for combination skin like mine, especially during seasonal transitions. Drawbacks and Precautions: While I didn't experience any blemishes after use, I felt a slight burning sensation in the area above my upper lip immediately after applying the serum. I think this is because the skin around my mouth and above my upper lip is naturally thinner and more sensitive. - Hwahae UserDry SkinOct 20, 2024
Texture: Thin and runny consistency Scent: Mild herbal fragrance Absorbs quickly without any stickiness. For dry skin, it's not quite moisturizing enough, but it doesn't cause tightness. It's suitable on its own in summer, but you'll need additional hydration in fall and winter. After a two-week trial on blemish-prone skin, it had minimal effect on larger blemishes but showed improvement on smaller ones and areas with redness. As the redness decreased, it gave a brightening effect, making the skin look more radiant. The pores also seemed slightly reduced. The elongated container is great as it dispenses a generous amount in one go. Upon application, there's a burning and tingling sensation similar to applying fresh aloe vera. This feeling subsides quickly once absorbed and doesn't cause blemishes, but it's worth noting that the complimentary collagen sample had the same burning sensation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 20, 2024
❗️I have combination dehydrated skin The texture is thin and tends to run easily. There's a slight glue-like scent? I don't mind it personally as it's very faint, but those sensitive to fragrances should take note! Let me start with the positives: ✔️ It absorbs well and applies thinly ✔️ The packaging is sturdy enough that you need to grip the dropper firmly when inserting or removing it ✔️ It feels like it's been formulated to be suitable for everyone To be honest, when I first used this product, I thought I was just applying a water-like serum. But gradually, as I continued using it, my skin started feeling warm, and blemishes began appearing one by one. Small bumps even started forming on my forehead. I'm not entirely sure if it's because of this serum, but personally, I find it difficult to review this product. While the initial blemishes I had when I first received the product seemed to be calming down, I had to stop using it due to the small bumps on my forehead and the blemishes appearing on my chin. If my skin calms down and I get a chance to try it again, I'll update my review! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2024
*I have combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin. Please keep this in mind!* - Texture: It has a light, water-like feel, making it great to apply before makeup. The pleasant user experience and how well it absorbs make me reach for this product often! - Absorption: It absorbs well, so reapplying isn't burdensome, which is a big advantage. It has more hydration than richness, so as someone with oily skin, I used it very well. - Effects: It gives a slight cooling sensation when applied, and when I used it while my face felt too hot, it slightly calmed the redness. - The generous amount makes it great for layering, and I've been using it consistently because I love how cooling it feels! - Scent: It has a fragrance that might be divisive, but personally, I think this level of scent is fine. Those who are extremely sensitive to fragrances might slightly dislike it. - Value for money: As the amount is generous, it comes with a bit of a higher price tag. It seems like an ampoule that's great for light application in the morning! I recommend this for those who usually find serum ampoules burdensome, or for those with sensitive skin who prefer a moderately cooling sensation rather than an intensely cold one!
