It absorbs well! Despite its watery texture, once it's absorbed into the face, you can feel a subtle firmness. Here's a pro tip: using it in a bubble container makes it more convenient to apply and ensures it absorbs completely without leaving any residue. I had to use this while hospitalized, and during that time, I experienced no blemishes. It even helped soothe areas irritated by adhesive allergies. I didn't see significant soothing effects on redness or existing acne. I didn't notice much improvement in calming redness or already-formed pimples. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2024
As someone with sensitive skin that often gets hot and easily turns red, I found it great that when I applied this product like a toner pack, it quickly calmed down my burning skin. The formula is light and gentle, making it perfect for oily skin types to use lightly in the hot summer! The fragrance-free formula absorbs quickly, but it's not completely watery. So when you layer it multiple times, it builds up on the skin nicely. When I let it absorb sufficiently and reapplied, it felt very moisturizing without much greasiness. It gave me a feeling of pure hydration, which I was extremely satisfied with. With its gentle ingredients, this toner is non-irritating and oil-free, making it suitable for everyone to use! While it provided excellent hydration and helped reduce skin heat, it wasn't particularly effective in soothing blemishes. During the two weeks I used this product, I had two large pimples under my left jaw, and I didn't feel like it had any noticeable calming effect on them. The formula is quite thin, so (especially in hot weather like now) it's easy to use carelessly. I think it would be better if it came in a larger size! You can keep it in the refrigerator and use it cool by soaking a cotton pad generously and placing it on your face to reduce skin heat. You can also mix it into a modeling mask for an even more moisturizing mask experience! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2024
A toner that's easy to use for everyday skincare I have sensitive dry skin that often struggles with oil and moisture balance, and is prone to small bumps. Scent: - There's a subtle herbal scent, but it's not overpowering. If you're not particularly sensitive, you might even consider it unscented. Texture: - The liquid formula absorbs well into the skin. Gentle ingredients: - The ingredients seem gentle enough for my sensitive skin. Average performance: - I can't pinpoint any special features unique to this toner. It performs similarly to other toners I've tried. When your skin feels particularly dry, try using it as a mask by soaking cotton pads and applying them to your face. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2024
Review after using it daily for a full 2 weeks For oily, pore-prone, sensitive skin 1. Quick absorption: No stickiness, perfect for summer. 2. Hydration boost: Texture is watery, but doesn't feel like plain water. It's not viscous either, but how to describe it... The more you layer, the more it builds up? Remember the Skinfood Barley Toner? If you loved that, you'll definitely be satisfied with this product. I was sad when the barley one was discontinued, but now I'm switching to this. 3. Bottle opening: Doesn't drip, dispenses well with a tilt. It's a water toner, but it doesn't run, which I would have hated. It's perfect for clean, easy use. 4. Gentle: My skin's been calm lately so I can't speak to its soothing effects, but the fact that it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin even with layering proves its gentleness. Conclusion: Ideal for [Summer + Layering + Oily skin] 1. This texture and feel desperately needs to come in a larger size 2. Would be great if they had more frequent sales or events I've tried layering, patting, using it as an exfoliating toner, and as a skin pack. I recommend in this order: Layering > Skin pack > Patting > Exfoliating toner As someone with oily skin, I layer 2-3 times. It gives a feeling of increasing hydration with each layer, so for those with dry skin, multiple layers or using it as a skin pack would be fantastic. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 21, 2024
✓ Texture It's not too thick and has that characteristic bouncy feel you get with hyaluronic acid products, which I really like. It absorbs well too. It truly has a watery consistency. ✓ Scent It's practically fragrance-free. I'm usually quite sensitive to scents, but with this product, I only noticed a very faint smell when I first used it. I've been using it morning and night, and I love that I can't really detect any fragrance! ✓ When used as a mask Considering the season and how my face has been feeling hot and sensitive lately, I tried soaking cotton pads with this toner and placing them on areas prone to heat. I felt a slight cooling effect along with a soothing sensation. ✓ Compatibility with other products From my experience trying various skincare products, I've realized that the toner step, whether in night or morning care, is crucial for preparing the skin to better absorb the ingredients in subsequent products. This toner feels like it does exactly that! It seems to prime the skin for serums and creams. And it actually works well in practice! To be honest, I can't really find any downsides based on my standards. Perhaps if you're not a fan of the slippery feeling typical of hyaluronic acid toners, you might find that aspect uncomfortable... But other than that, I don't see any particular drawbacks. Mask tip! Soak some cotton pads with the toner and place them on your face while you dry your hair. It keeps your skin hydrated and cool until your hair is dry. When you remove the pads, your skin feels slightly 'pickled' by the toner, leaving it super soothed! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 20, 2024
After using it for about two weeks, I have to say: While I didn't see any dramatic effects, there are some positives! The best part is that it's fragrance-free. This makes it really pleasant to use - no off-putting scents at all! I think even those with sensitive noses would find this comfortable to use. The absorption is fantastic too. It really sinks into the skin well! It does leave a slightly sticky finish, so I might not reach for it as much during the summer months. Unfortunately, after two weeks of use, I didn't notice any significant effects or changes to my skin. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJun 20, 2024
Skin Type: I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone and dry U-zone! Texture: The consistency is just perfect - not too thick and not watery either. It's right in the middle, which I absolutely love! Absorption: You can feel it absorbing instantly as you pat it in. Ingredients & Effects: It didn't cause any blemishes and seemed to have a calming effect on my skin. Scent: As someone sensitive to fragrances, I prefer unscented toners. This product is fragrance-free, which is great! There's honestly nothing I disliked about it! I tried this product without high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good it is. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJun 19, 2024
I usually apply toner multiple times during my skincare routine. It usually takes quite a while for absorption, but the Mediteraphy Mugwort Super Calming Toner absorbs almost instantly, which is fantastic when layering! Also, on those 'magical' days when my skin tends to act up, applying this toner before bed seems to have a soothing effect. What I love most is its nearly fragrance-free formula and how well it absorbs! I've been applying it 3-5 times, and it sinks right in. I'm planning to make this my daily toner. Apart from the fact that it absorbs so quickly I might use it up faster, I haven't found any drawbacks so far. With the recent heat wave, my skin has been feeling saggy, and wearing a mask daily seems to be enlarging my pores. So, I've started keeping my toner in the fridge and doing a quick toner mask in the morning before applying makeup. This seems to help my makeup go on smoother and tighten my pores. I highly recommend giving this a try! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2024
Texture: The formula is very hydrating and moisturizing with a slightly rich feel. It has a smooth, slippery texture. It's not a completely watery toner, but rather one with a bit of viscosity. Application: When applied to the skin, it feels pleasantly moisturizing and you can sense a good amount of hydration being absorbed into the face. I love using it as a toner mask by soaking cotton pads generously with the product and placing them on my face. Following up with aloe gel seemed to really help alleviate any dryness. Scent: I'm not a fan of heavily fragranced products as they can feel artificial, but this one has a very subtle scent. It's almost unnoticeable. Size: Toners always seem to run out quickly for me, so I appreciate the generous volume in this bottle. Application: As someone who dislikes the feeling of products sitting on my skin or any slippery sensations, I typically avoid using skin emulsions, sunscreen, or even makeup. However, as I approach my 30s, I've noticed more days where my skin feels tight and dry. This led me to start a more thorough skincare routine. While this toner does help alleviate dryness due to its high moisture content, its viscous texture leaves a slippery feeling on the face when applied. I understand it's due to ingredients like hyaluronic acid, but for those who, like me, dislike the sensation of product on their skin, this might be a bit uncomfortable. Packaging: Although most toners come in similar bottles, I found this packaging slightly inconvenient. It's fine when using cotton pads - you can just shake out the product. However, I prefer to pour some into my palm and then apply it generously to my face, which made controlling the amount difficult with this bottle. For those who use cotton pads for toner masks, this packaging should work well. Deep Hydration Care: 1. Generously soak cotton pads with the toner. 2. Place the soaked pads on your forehead and cheeks. 3. Remove the pads after 10 minutes. (Do not use the pads to exfoliate!) 4. Apply a liberal amount of aloe gel to your face. 5. Continue with your usual skincare routine. (Serum - Emulsion - Cream - Eye Cream) - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 19, 2024
Texture: - It's not a dry, watery toner that feels parched right after application. Instead, it's a fluid yet hydrating toner that's perfect for layering! Scent: - It has a unique, slightly medicinal scent that's characteristic of unscented products. It might surprise you at first, but you'll get used to it! Application: - Although it's a fluid toner, it's hydrating enough to use year-round. You can adjust the number of layers based on the season, making it versatile for both summer and winter. - The formula absorbs quickly without any stickiness, making it ideal for toner masks or as a mist when decanted into a spray bottle. The scent could be improved. However, it didn't cause any blemishes. It's great to use as a hydrating mist right after cleansing by decanting it into a spray bottle, or you can use it for a toner mask.
