It felt like a decent, no-frills shampoo that didn't overload my hair with moisture or nourishment, which can sometimes make my oily situation worse. Usually, by the afternoon my bangs start to look greasy after an evening wash. But when I used this as a pre-wash, it really helped! The pre-wash didn't leave my hair feeling straw-like or overly dry. Instead, it just removed the excess oil while keeping my hair feeling soft and hydrated. I also loved that it's almost fragrance-free, which is perfect for someone like me who prefers unscented products. The packaging is adorable too, with cute stickers included!
ConsHowever, since it's formulated for dry hair, if I don't use it as a pre-wash, my extremely oily scalp still tends to get greasy pretty quickly.

I'm satisfied! Texture: It's slightly runny and on the thinner side. Skin type: My scalp has been sensitive lately, and it hurt when I brushed my hair. After switching to this shampoo, it's much better! Hair texture: I usually wash my hair with hot water, which can be drying, but my hair feels a bit more moisturized now.
ConsThere's nothing particularly disappointing about this product. I'm using it well! If I had to pick something, it's a bit annoying to have to shake it before use, so I often forget to do that.
TipAs someone with an oily scalp prone to dandruff, here's my hair washing routine: 1. Brush hair before washing. 2. Thoroughly wet the hair. 3. Lather the shampoo in your hands first. 4. After shampooing, massage the scalp for about a minute. 5. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. This is the method I'm currently using to wash my hair.

ConsNothing particularly bad, but if you want your hair to have a distinct scent, you'll need to use a hair mist or another product
TipThose with oily hair may need to use more product When I couldn't wash my hair for a few days due to coloring, I found I needed to pump the bottle several times for enough product

Texture: When lathering up with the same amount I usually use, I noticed the foam was more delicate and soft rather than dense and rich. The shampoo has a consistency similar to a hydrating ampoule - quite fluid. Experience: Perhaps it's because of the 'seaweed shampoo' name, but I felt a smooth, hydrating sensation. ✨ It's exactly that soft, moisturizing feel. The foam is gentle, and there's absolutely no friction when rinsing, which made me feel like I was losing less hair. Scent: To me, it has a citrusy apple scent! But since it's not a perfume shampoo, the fragrance isn't overpowering and doesn't linger on the hair. Even for someone sensitive to scents like me, it wasn't bothersome. Blemishes and Irritation: I did get one scalp pimple after using it. But since I occasionally get scalp acne anyway, I can't definitively blame the Cheong Mi Jeong Seaweed Shampoo for this. As mentioned earlier, this shampoo feels incredibly gentle, so there was no irritation at all. No scalp burning either. Design: I appreciated the intuitive design and how you can see the contents clearly - it's clean and nice.
ConsThe flip side of being soft and moisturizing is that it doesn't give that squeaky-clean, dry feeling! Because of this, as someone with combination dehydrated scalp, I felt it wasn't quite refreshing enough without a pre-wash shampoo. Especially since I have permed hair and use curl cream and polish oil daily. While it seems to cleanse the curl cream well, for the polish oil, a pre-wash is absolutely necessary.. When there's a lot of oil in my hair, it really doesn't lather well. The price feels a bit on the higher side...
Tip* Strongly recommend a pre-wash shampoo! * For combination scalp, it's fine from evening wash until the next evening! * Not recommended for extremely oily scalp

Being a natural shampoo, I was concerned about its cleansing effectiveness, but it turned out to be excellent. It feels like a fundamental shampoo that's essential for all hair types. The hydration and nourishment it provides seem to make the hair texture soft. My hair didn't feel greasy throughout the day.
ConsIt doesn't seem to strengthen the hair roots effectively. Other than that, there are no notable issues.

While the scent initially reminded me of dish soap, which slightly lowered my expectations, the softness I felt right after shampooing was incredible!!! You know how people often describe their hair feeling like seaweed after using a deep conditioner? That's exactly how the Seaweed Shampoo made my hair feel! My hair has been severely damaged from multiple dye jobs, but with just this shampoo alone, it feels incredibly soft and moisturized - as if I've used a treatment. It's so effective that I've stopped using a separate conditioner. The volume is well-maintained, and although the instructions suggest shampooing twice, the lather is so rich that once is enough. Overall, I'm absolutely in love with this product!
ConsThe only downside is the dish soap-like scent... everything else is fantastic!

But this shampoo helped reduce dandruff and stopped the itching - I'm so pleased! - Balanced hydration Some shampoos can strip all the moisture from your hair, leaving it parched. This one, however, provides just the right amount of hydration, which I love. - Attractive packaging It would make a lovely gift! If you're looking for a product that offers #dandruff control, #gentleness, and is great as a #winter shampoo, I think this could be a good choice for you.
Cons- Scent Personally, I prefer citrus fragrances, but this one's smell is a bit... It might be hit or miss for some people. If they could change the scent, I'd use it more often. - Lasting power If you believe that a shampoo's fragrance and its staying power are crucial, this might not be for you. I consider these somewhat important, so it was a bit of a drawback for me.

Made with plant-derived components, it's gentle and free from potentially irritating chemical preservatives, synthetic fragrances, and dyes. I thought it would be great not just for pregnant women, but for everyone as a daily shampoo. Perhaps due to the high content of seaweed extract, when I actually used it, I was satisfied with how refreshing it felt after washing, while still leaving my hair feeling moisturized rather than stiff. No matter how good the ingredients are, I don't prefer shampoos that don't lather well, but this seaweed shampoo produces a rich lather even with just a small amount, making it easy to use. I also felt it offers good value for the volume, so I recommend it.
ConsFor those who prefer a strong, lingering fragrance after shampooing like with perfume shampoos, this might be disappointing as it's almost unscented. I was interested in trying the seaweed treatment as well, so I thought it would be nice if they included a sample of the seaweed treatment with each purchase during promotions.
TipFor an even more refreshing experience, first wet your scalp with lukewarm water to soften it, then apply the shampoo, lather it up, massage it in, leave it for about a minute before rinsing.

Provides good hydration 3. After using this shampoo and drying my hair, it looks more voluminous
Cons1. I didn't understand why some reviews mentioned itchiness. I used it daily for about 5 days, but on the last day, my scalp suddenly became very itchy, forcing me to switch back to my Nobi-Prux shampoo (I usually use P.L.D.L. shampoo). I rarely experience scalp itchiness as I massage my scalp with a hair brush while washing. 2. Dandruff seems to vary from person to person. I didn't experience any. My mother also tried it and found it moisturizing and generally satisfactory. 3. The cleansing effectiveness feels too average... I ended up using more water to rinse compared to my regular shampoo
TipRecommend using a scalp brush for shampooing, not just fingers

Rich lather When first squeezed into your hand, the texture seems slightly thinner than regular shampoo. However, once you wet your hair and massage it in, it creates a luxurious lather. It rinses out cleanly without any residue, making for a pleasant washing experience. 2. Performance As someone with oily hair, I was initially concerned about using a shampoo for dry hair. Surprisingly, it wasn't too rich and worked well! I have seborrheic dermatitis, and using this in winter left my scalp feeling comfortably moisturized, which was actually a plus. 3. Fragrance Perhaps due to its natural ingredients, the scent isn't overpowering or artificial. Instead, it has a subtle, pleasant aroma that gently diffuses. I really appreciate that it's neither too strong nor unscented, but has this delicate fragrance.
ConsI don't have any particular complaints. I noticed there's a 'Cool' version of this shampoo, and I'm curious to try that one too.
TipWith its plant-derived surfactants, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle shampoo!
