When first applying, I was surprised to find capsules in a sunscreen, but they weren't noticeable as particles. As the capsules burst, they naturally brightened my complexion. Using it on my light skin (shade 21), it gave a natural brightening effect, about half a shade lighter than my skin tone. My younger brother tried it too, and while it appeared a bit brighter on his darker skin (especially when he used more), it wasn't excessive. I think it could be a great alternative to foundation or cushion for men as well. Unlike most sunscreens that come in tubes, this product has a pump dispenser, making it hygienic and convenient to use. It's definitely a product I find myself reaching for often.
ConsHowever, as this product is designed for a foundation-free look, it's best used on its own rather than as a base for makeup. When I applied makeup over it, I noticed some slight pilling of the base.

Applies smoothly and moistly, becoming more elastic as you spread it. There's a slight glow right after application, but for dry skin, it feels like it dries to a powdery finish over time. No discomfort like skin tightness. Coverage: Joint first place among tone-up sunscreens I've used! Considering application and feel, it's definitely number one! I've always worried about freckles on my cheekbones, but this provides natural coverage like a soft filter. Especially great at covering dark tones around the mouth! (It's not dramatic, but I'm terrible at makeup and even foundation doesn't cover my freckles... In comparison, I'm very satisfied with the coverage from just this sunscreen!) Staying power: Quite a bit of transfer to masks. After a full day of activity, no clumping or caking, but it fades transparently in areas with mask friction. Irritation: Hardly felt any irritation while using. However, when used on days with poor skin condition, there was some itching and blemishes. Recommended for use when skin condition is average or better! Scent: Unscented (couldn't detect any fragrance) Effectiveness: During the testing period, I had days with long outdoor activities, but my skin held up well without stinging or heat. Thanks to this, I didn't need to use the sunstick I brought just in case!
ConsAreas for improvement: During the testing period, I didn't find anything particularly disappointing! If I had to pick one thing, maybe the transfer to masks...?
TipThe texture is moisturizing enough that you can apply it with minimal skincare without worrying about deep dryness (maybe because it's summer...?) If you're looking for a moisturizing tone-up sunscreen, but found Dalba too greasy for summer use, I recommend trying Abib!

I don't prefer sunscreens that become too greasy over time, as they make my skin look like it's covered in cooking oil. ✨Texture - Spreads smoothly and feels moisturizing - The capsules in the formula burst gently, naturally evening out the skin tone - Feels like applying a hydrating brightening moisturizer ✨Scent - The subtle fragrance is satisfying! ✨Perceived Effects - Usually, mineral sunscreens leave my skin feeling too dry, but this product maintains a nice level of hydration, which I really appreciate - The natural tone-evening effect allows for a foundation-free look! ✨Overall Impression - Perfect for those who find typical mineral sunscreens too drying or leaving a white cast! - Ideal for anyone seeking a natural brightening moisturizer with high SPF - While it might be slightly drying for those with dry skin, it should work well for combination and oily-dehydrated skin types :) - Thanks to this product, I was able to speed up my morning routine!
ConsThere was some pilling, but it disappeared easily with a quick rub, so it wasn't a big issue :)

A glowy skin look really suits me. Recently, I bought a semi-matte to matte cushion foundation thinking I'd give it a try, but it was just awful so I tossed it aside. However, when I applied this product first and then layered the cushion on top, the result was absolutely amazing! Personally, I love this aspect, but I understand that those with oily skin might not be fans. For me, my skin doesn't get too oily. In the morning, I just do my makeup, lightly powder my forehead, smile lines, and sides of my nose. Then around lunchtime, I gently blot away any excess oil with a tissue, and my skin looks beautiful again. I also appreciated that it's fragrance-free.
ConsWhen applied on its own, it gives a slight brightening effect, similar to wearing a mineral sunscreen. It can look a bit white at first, but it quickly blends with my skin tone and ends up looking fine.
TipIf you keep your skincare routine light (maybe just toner and hydrating essence), apply this, and then layer a matte foundation or cushion on top, you can achieve an incredible skin finish. You'll look like you have the smoothest, most flawless complexion imaginable!

Not recommended for long outings! Skin type recommendation: Those with smooth, hydrated skin free of dead skin cells might find this satisfying.
ConsI haven't used it long-term, so I'll need to observe more, but one thing's certain - it's not suitable for combination dehydrated skin, textured or sensitive blemish-prone skin. (I fluctuate between dry and combination, but I'm mostly combination.) I wore this for about 7-8 hours, and from the 2-hour mark, my skin became excessively oily. It was quite troublesome! My face was literally gleaming. Thankfully, I had oil blotting sheets to manage, but using them disrupted the makeup, leaving it looking messy. While I don't have acne-prone skin, I am prone to blemishes, and this felt like it was clogging my pores. It felt suffocating, like I wanted to peel it off immediately. So... yeah, I think it's better if I don't use this. Applying powder over it would make my skin feel too suffocated, so I'd rather just use foundation alone.
TipThis might work well for those with poreless, healthy skin. But your skin needs to be well-hydrated, and free of dead skin cells, texture issues, or small bumps. That's necessary for smooth application - you want it to glide on without any pilling, right? For those with dry (not combination dehydrated) skin, minimal pores, and few blemishes, I think it might work well if you build a solid skincare routine focused on hydration before applying this. That's just my thought!

As someone whose skin reacts quickly to incompatible ingredients, I found this product gentle and non-irritating. It's ideal for my dry skin, providing just the right amount of hydration without any pilling. It's become my go-to base product (coming from someone who only uses Abib face masks!) The natural brightening effect is a game-changer! Not only does it provide excellent sun protection, but it also gives a subtle glow. It's perfect for those days when you're too tired for foundation but still want a bit of a pick-me-up. I love using it for casual dates with my boyfriend - it gives me that natural, fresh-faced look without feeling bare-faced. Highly recommend as a daily essential!
ConsNot recommended for those seeking heavy coverage! If you're expecting this product to completely conceal blemishes or dramatically brighten your complexion, you might be disappointed. As described, it's more suited for achieving a 'clear and radiant bare face' look. It's perfect for those who prefer a natural, translucent makeup style. For those who enjoy a more dramatic makeup look, I'd suggest using this as a base layer. As someone who usually only wears foundation, I found this product extremely satisfying and think it could become a staple in my routine.
TipFor best results, apply the product evenly all over, then use concealer on any areas that need extra coverage. This combination worked wonders for me! I highly recommend using it with concealer for blemish coverage, or as a base layer in your makeup routine. The lightweight formula doesn't feel heavy and doesn't dry out the skin, so you can layer it without worry.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsFirst off, I was lucky enough to be selected as one of The Hwahae Testers to try this product. I generally prefer moisturizing skincare products, and my skin type is combination dehydrated. Since I've been using a hydrating sunscreen, I wanted something to cover minor blemishes on days when I didn't feel like wearing makeup. That's how I naturally started using brightening moisturizers too (I noticed that a brighter complexion made imperfections less noticeable). While I got used to this routine, honestly, there were times when even that felt like too much effort. That's when this product really shined - it was so convenient to just apply this one thing! The photos don't do it justice, but once you apply it, you get this beautiful hydrated glow! Not greasy, just moisturized! And with SPF50+ PA++++, it's got sun protection covered too. The texture is somewhat like an emulsion, and it evens out your skin tone naturally. While it's not heavy-duty coverage, it does provide a natural-looking cover as it evens out your complexion. If I had to nitpick, I prefer a slightly more translucent feel, so while it's sufficiently hydrating and I'm very satisfied overall, I wish it was a bit more moisturizing (like a serum). This is just my personal preference for a more fluid, hydrating application, but I think most people will be perfectly happy with it! I love the glow after application, but the texture itself isn't my ideal... That's why I took off one star, but it's still really good! The fact that I used it daily despite it not being my preferred texture says it all. It's great for those times when you're not quite ready to show your bare face to your boyfriend. It would also be perfect for those who go for light runs and want to look a bit more put-together than completely bare-faced! My photo skills don't do it justice, but it really does give you a glow in real life. I like it!
ConsI wish the texture was a bit more hydrating when applying. It feels moisturizing once it's on, but during application, it's hard to tell. If you're someone who prefers very hydrating formulas, you might find this slightly lacking.

Spreads smoothly without any stiffness and applies evenly. Feels moisturizing without being sticky or leaving residue. Feel on Skin: As it emphasizes a 'glowing' complexion, it's not the type of sunscreen that dries matte for oily or combination dehydrated skin. Instead, it leaves a dewy finish with some moisture. Likely suitable for normal to dry skin types as it doesn't cause flaking, accentuate dead skin cells, or settle into fine lines. For oily or combination dehydrated skin, you might need powder or oil-absorbing sheets for the forehead and T-zone. White Cast and Coverage: Initially, there's a noticeable white cast, probably due to the mineral sunscreen ingredients. However, with proper blending and patting, it quickly settles into a natural light beige tone. Unlike many tone-up or foundation-free sunscreens on the market that either have a pink cast or provide heavy coverage like foundation, this one offers sheer coverage similar to a skin tint. (Though when applied in the proper amount for sun protection, it feels a bit thicker than a skin tint) Perfect as a sunscreen for those who want to even out their skin tone without wearing makeup. Advantages: - Spreads easily and smoothly without stiffness - Moisturizing feel (suitable for normal to dry skin, prevents flaking and accentuation of dead skin cells) - No stickiness or residue - Sheer coverage ideal for a foundation-free look - Contains brightening and antioxidant ingredients like niacinamide, glutathione, and vitamin C (Especially great that it includes vitamin C, which complements sunscreen through a different mechanism to protect against sun damage and aging. I used to apply vitamin C separately before mineral sunscreen, but it was inconvenient and easy to forget. It's fantastic that many products now include it)
ConsDisadvantages: - May be too rich for oily or combination dehydrated skin types
TipPro Tip: When applying your skincare, mix a high-concentration niacinamide/zinc product with a hydrating serum (increase the ratio for oilier areas), then apply a hybrid or chemical sunscreen with higher oil content. This helps reduce oiliness. That's how I've been using it!

The absorbs well is quite good. I think it feels even better because the brightening moisturizers I've used before didn't have great application. - Longevity: It lasts about half a day? Since it's a sunscreen, when used alone, I needed to reapply in the afternoon. It's a bit rich, so it tends to leave marks if you touch your face. - Brightening effect: It naturally brightens the complexion by about half a shade. It doesn't dramatically lighten your skin. - Blemishes and irritation: I'm prone to occasional blemishes, but using this didn't cause any additional breakouts or irritation. - Overall: I recommend this to those who want a natural, slight brightening effect. It's on the richer side, so those with oily skin will definitely need to use powder. It does transfer and leave marks a bit.
ConsThe packaging could be better. The puff dispenses very little product. You have to press it several times to get enough out. The puff and lid are quite bulky.
TipI have combination dehydrated skin prone to deep dryness, so when I applied this alone, I felt it was a bit rich and had to set it with powder.

I was surprised by how moisturizing it was without the typical stiffness of mineral sunscreens, and it had a subtle brightening effect that made my skin look naturally radiant. It absorbs quickly, finishing without any heaviness or stuffiness. The slightly powdery finish makes it perfect for those who dislike oily sunscreens. The scent is nearly undetectable, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin. There's minimal white cast, and it spreads evenly without pilling or patchiness. It provides a natural brightening effect that's subtle enough to use for complexion correction. I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation, and even after long hours outdoors, it maintained its effectiveness without breaking down or becoming oily. It seems better suited for combination dehydrated skin, oily, or combination skin types like mine rather than dry skin. Those with dry skin might feel some deep dryness, so make sure to layer hydrating products underneath. Overall, it's great for daily use, especially on days when you need a natural brightening effect!
ConsGiven its brightening function, it can pill or become patchy if applied on unexfoliated skin. I noticed it lifted slightly on dry areas, making it a bit challenging to use on days when dead skin cells were more noticeable. While the powdery finish is great for oily or combination skin, it might cause some deep dryness for those with dry skin types.
TipI found that layering a hydrating cream in my skincare routine before applying this sunscreen resulted in a much prettier, seamless application without any pilling.
