The color payoff is excellent, it applies smoothly, has great staying power, and doesn't smudge. I'm not one to touch up my makeup often or worry about it much after application, but this liner stayed neat for up to 8 hours without needing any fixes. Among the gel liners I've used, this one smudged the least. I also loved that it's thin enough without needing to sharpen it. Perhaps due to its thinness, it seems to wear down quickly. While it allows for thin and precise lines and glides on smoothly, it's prone to smudging or breaking easily, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinOct 27, 2020
When I first applied it, I was pleased that the formula wasn't stiff but spread smoothly! Some other slim eyeliners can be quite hard, probably to prevent breakage due to their thinness. This often leads to a sharp feeling and irritation at the corner of the eyes when first using them. However, this product glides on softly from the start, and I've never experienced it breaking while using it, which is great. As someone whose makeup doesn't usually stay put easily, I found the lasting power to be impressive. If I had to point out one drawback, it's that the tip becomes a bit blunt with use, making it challenging to draw sharp lines. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 26, 2020
It glides on so thin and smooth! I'd heard this product was popular but never had the chance to try it. My eyes tend to make eyeliners smudge, so I didn't have high hopes for a pencil liner. But wow, was I pleasantly surprised! It goes on smoothly with one swipe, adheres instantly without smudging, and most importantly, creates such a clean line. I love it! Being 2mm ultra-slim, you can draw super fine lines! I used to only use sharpened pencil liners before, but I didn't like how thick they went on. This one's so thin, it's easy to use. I might ditch my gel liners for good! Tip: lay it flat for an even thinner line, or use it upright for a thicker one. I absolutely, 100% recommend this! There's hardly anything to complain about, but when I deliberately drew thick lines multiple times for my review photo and rubbed it vigorously with my finger, it smudged slightly. However, you wouldn't do this when actually applying it to your eyes, so I believe it will provide the desired waterproof performance during normal use. When drawing your eyeliner, they say it looks best if you start from the highest point above your pupil and then work your way outwards on both sides! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 26, 2020
It's incredibly soft and smooth. Even with a light touch, it applies vividly. What I love most is its thin texture, which is perfect for filling in the waterline. The convenience of being able to retract and extend the pen is a great feature. So far, I haven't experienced any smudging! Since it's not a brush tip, it does tend to get a bit blunt with use. This made it a bit challenging to create a sharp wing at the outer corner of the eye. Other than that, I didn't find any particular drawbacks. For my eyeliner routine, I use this to create an initial outline, almost like a sketch. Then I go over it with a brush eyeliner to finish the look. This method results in a clean and vivid line. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinOct 25, 2020
Normally, my makeup gets oily after an hour and every eyeliner smudges on my eyes. Plus, black makes my eyes look smaller, so I only draw a sharp tail with a light brown eyeliner. This brown doesn't have any redness and doesn't float around, so it naturally enhances my eye shape. I love the color most, and it applies smoothly without irritating my eye area. It also comes off easily with makeup remover during cleansing. Other than that, it smudges too much to be practically usable. Even with powder, it still smudges, unfortunately. I liked how soft it was, but as expected from a pencil type... I also wish it was slimmer and more pointed. Unlike how it looks, it draws rather bluntly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 24, 2020
The color is neither too dark nor too light, making it perfect for daily use. It blends seamlessly with light makeup without standing out. When first applied, it's soft enough to smudge with a brush, but it sets nicely after a short while. The soft core allows for easy application without needing to apply much pressure. The thin pencil tip is great for creating fine tail lines with a bit of care, and it's not too harsh for filling in the waterline. I used it for about 7-8 hours, and aside from slight smudging, it was excellent. I'm not sure if it's because I have monolids, but it smudged a bit darkly in the inner corner area. Initially, I thought it would stay put since it set well, but it tends to come off easily with sweat or oil. The core is a bit soft, so if you apply too much pressure while drawing, it can clump and smear. If you smudge it with a slightly firm brush right after application, it creates a perfect shadow effect that makes your eyes look more defined and makes gradients easier to achieve. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 23, 2020
I've only ever used brush-tip liners for my eyeliner, but I discovered this pencil liner while searching for a good alternative. This eyeliner glides on smoothly without needing to apply much pressure, and the color payoff is vibrant and impressive. It was a bit inconvenient that there wasn't a built-in sharpener for the liner. It would be great if it came with an integrated sharpener to keep the tip pointed. It's frustrating when the tip becomes blunt, making it difficult to draw a precise line. The liner also breaks easily after just a few uses. I'd recommend this pencil liner only to those who are already comfortable with this format. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinOct 14, 2020
It's incredibly soft! It removes quickly and easily, making touch-ups a breeze. Even though I have very oily skin around my eyes, it didn't smudge or disappear much at all. The soft texture can cause a bit of clumping when you try to layer it for more coverage. Keep this in mind and be careful with the amount you apply. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2020
It absorbs as smoothly as writing with a Monami FX153 pen! The standout feature of this product is undoubtedly its ultra-slim design. This is my first pencil eyeliner, and I can definitely see it's thinner than other products. I'm not great at applying eyeliner since I don't wear makeup often, so I just apply it above my lashes. Well... maybe because it's a pencil eyeliner, but it smudges. After using it a few times, it loses that incredibly thin tip it had when first purchased and becomes blunter. Of course, even when it's blunt, it's still relatively thin. If you don't twist up just the right amount, it's prone to breaking. I bought it during a sale and I'm absolutely thrilled with the purchase! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 27, 2020
The Saem Eco Soul Power Proof Ultra Slim Eyeliner [BR01 Thrill Brown] ✔ No smudging! After drawing on the inner wrist and rubbing with water, it doesn't come off unless you scratch hard with your nails. Feel free to test it at an offline store if you're curious. ✔ Glides on smoothly! It's like sliding down a playground slide. It puts gel eyeliners to shame. ✔ It's just right. Easy for tightlining but not so much for creating a wing. You can finish it off beautifully by slightly extending the end with a brush. ✔ If your eyelids aren't too oily, you won't need to touch up after applying in the morning. It truly lives up to its 'Power Proof' name with incredible staying power. For those with oily lids, I recommend using powder before application. ✔ The brown shade is neither too dark nor too light, suitable for everyone. It's a well-balanced, natural color that complements both warm and cool skin tones. The Saem Eco Soul Power Proof Ultra Slim Eyeliner [BR01 Thrill Brown] ✔ Given the lower price point, the product quantity isn't substantial. But that's not really a drawback, is it? ✔ While there aren't many cons, it does set quickly, making corrections challenging. I recommend using an eye makeup remover or oil. Also, the tip becomes blunt with use. I wouldn't recommend it for creating a wing. And if you extend it too much, it tends to break easily! ✔ It breaks easily... It really breaks easily... Really... ✔ Primarily used for tightlining
