I love how the lightweight texture spreads smoothly when applied with hands. Even when used on arms or legs, it absorbs nicely without feeling too sticky. I apply it after my skincare routine and before makeup, and with just a light application, it doesn't cause my foundation to pill. Although it's a white cream, there's no white cast, so it's convenient as I don't need to do any additional complexion correction. I've been using it for about a week and haven't experienced any blemishes.
ConsI've heard you should apply sunscreen in an amount equal to a 500 won coin, and while I don't use quite that much, I do try to apply generously. However, with this product, a generous application leads to white clumping... So I end up applying just a little, which makes me feel like I'm not getting enough sun protection. Also, if you apply too much, it can look oily, especially in the T-zone and around the nose, making it appear like excess oil is flowing. This happens even though I have dry skin with severe atopic dermatitis...
TipIt's best to apply it in small amounts, making sure it doesn't clump or get caught in areas like the sides of the nose, around the jawline, or where there are baby hairs!

I usually apply sunscreen by dabbing it on different parts of my face and then blending it in. I was pleased with how smoothly this sunscreen applied! I typically use a hydrating, quick-absorbing type, so I felt a slight film on my skin. However, I think this sensation was due to the change in texture from what I'm used to, not because there's anything wrong with the product itself. I'm not a fan of white cast, but this product gives a subtle brightening effect - just a touch! It wasn't noticeable enough to bother me, but those who dislike any brightening effect should keep this in mind. I previously tried Missha's pink sunblock on recommendation, but had to stop using it due to severe eye irritation and it felt too oily for me. Thankfully, this product doesn't irritate my eyes at all!
ConsI usually prefer sunscreens with a moisturizing, fast-absorbing texture like toners, or sun gels. When I use products with high oil content, my skin gets very greasy and my makeup breaks down quickly. While this product might work well during times when I have a lot of dead skin cells, I found it a bit too rich for my liking, which was disappointing.

It didn't cause any blemishes. 2. It blocks UVB rays. I've seen many sunscreens that block UVA, but this is the first one I've encountered that also protects against UVB. 3. Moderate brightening effect It doesn't make you look unnaturally white, but rather gives a natural brightening effect that's slightly lighter than your original complexion.
Cons1. The price A shocking 42,000 won for 50ml... I don't think I could buy it with my own money. 2. It's a bit rich. When I apply a lot and put makeup on top, it tends to cause pilling or separation. Also, applying too much feels heavy on the skin.

Second, there's no white cast. Third, as you can see in the photo, there's a noticeable difference between the applied and non-applied areas. While it doesn't have a whitening effect, it does give a nice glow. Fourth, sunscreens with white cast are difficult to use daily, but this product is perfect for everyday use. Fifth, it helps prevent skin from tanning quickly. As someone whose skin tans easily, I applied it thoroughly and found it provides good sun protection. (I'm posting this as part of The Hwahae Testers after winning on Hwahae)
ConsFirst, perhaps due to my oily skin, some shine does appear after a while. Second, while it applies moisturizing at first, after application it doesn't feel sticky, but somehow feels slightly tight
TipThe application method is standard, like most products. The product contains Arctic glacier water, making it suitable for sensitive and delicate skin types. It also has a high SPF and focuses on protecting against both UVA and UVB rays

After application, there's no stickiness or shine. It also has a slight white cast (not excessive) that brightens the skin. It seems to work as a makeup base before foundation. As long as you don't overdo the amount, it doesn't cause pilling and allows for smooth makeup application, which I appreciated. In my case, I didn't experience any blemishes.
ConsWhen using this sunscreen, there's about a 1/3 chance that the oil layer separates. (I'm not sure if it's clearly visible, but I've attached a photo.) Also, if you don't apply it quickly, it tends to pill and clump slightly. After makeup, I noticed that my face became oily faster than usual. Those with oily skin might want to consider this before use.
TipRather than simply applying, it seems to absorb better and prevent makeup pilling if you gently pat it into the skin.

It applies smoothly like a real moisturizer, with great absorption. While I mentioned the excess richness as a downside below, I'm pleased that despite its high oil content, it doesn't cause any blemishes!
ConsIt's really too rich... Now that summer's here, I think this might be better suited for winter use. Also, something seems off because occasionally when I squeeze it out, the product separates and oil comes out first, which makes me a bit uneasy.
TipI apply it in a thin layer...

Thanks for the chance to try it out! As someone with combination dehydrated skin that's super sensitive and prone to blemishes, here's my take: 1) It's thinner than most sunscreens (except sun milks) and true to its 'moisture cream' title - it absorbs well with a refreshing feel. No clumping or stickiness, and it doesn't leave a residue. 2) For lighter skin tones, there's minimal white cast, so your face and neck won't look mismatched. 3) It gives a nice glow. Not sure if it'll show in the photos, but some might even use it as a base makeup!
Cons1) For my oily T-zone, using a nickel-sized amount makes the glow too intense. I have to use just a tiny dot and set it with primer or powder to avoid looking too shiny. This might be perfect for dry skin types or those who love a dewy sunscreen look! 2) After using it from the 5th to the 11th, my skin got itchy and I got two small blemishes. Not sure if it's solely from the sunscreen or a reaction with other products. If you're considering buying, double-check the ingredients for any potential irritants.
TipIf you find the glow from just the sunscreen too much, applying a primer thoroughly can help tone it down. This is how my skin looks right after cleansing and skincare. I'm using a slightly thick cream-type primer from brand E.

First off, it absorbs really well. It feels smooth and light when applied. The white cast isn't too noticeable either. There's hardly any scent, so it's easy to use without any fuss. Also, sometimes sunscreens can sting my eyes, but this one doesn't do that at all.
ConsIt's a bit rich. After applying, I noticed my face looked a bit shiny. It's not too bad, but if you're looking for a matte finish, this might not be the best fit for you.

Application: This product applies more smoothly than the Dr. Hilux sunscreen I used before, which had physical UV blockers. However, it's a bit thicker than the regular moisturizing sunscreens from Innisfree or The Face Shop. 2. White cast: There's a slight brightening effect, which I personally like as it gives a subtle base product feel. The initial white cast settles down within half a day when wearing just the sunscreen. Overall, the sunscreen feels lightweight! Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes.
Cons...The price is quite high, probably because it's such a good sunscreen. I wanted to repurchase it, but I'm hesitant. Also, I have dry skin, but by the end of the day, I noticed some oiliness in my T-zone, especially between my eyebrows, which caused my makeup to wear off a bit. This might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin or during hot summer days.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsThis is a review from one of The Hwahae Testers! The best thing about this sunscreen is its excellent ingredients. It's really hard to find a sunscreen with good ingredients, but this one doesn't contain any potentially harmful components. I've used it for about 6 days and haven't experienced any blemishes. (My skin usually reacts quickly when I change products, but this sunscreen seems to suit my skin well!) Despite being a mineral sunscreen, I was surprised that it didn't leave a white cast. I have a darker complexion (I'm a full 22 in Korean foundation shades), but the white cast isn't noticeable. It does slightly brighten the skin, but it's more of a subtle skin tone correction rather than the effect you'd get from a brightening moisturizer. I really like this! If you're not a fan of white cast but want a mineral sunscreen, this one might be perfect for you.
ConsAs someone with oily skin, I prefer sunscreens that leave a matte finish. However, as you can see in the photo, this sunscreen leaves a shiny finish. Even after applying powder and makeup, I noticed my skin became oily faster than usual. It's not excessively greasy, but when you touch your skin after applying the sunscreen, it feels slightly tacky. Your opinion on this might vary depending on your preferred skin finish (those who like a dewy look might enjoy it). I also believe it's crucial to apply the correct amount of sunscreen (about two finger-lengths for the entire face, right? I'm as worried about skin cancer as I am about skin irritation). On the first day, when I applied the full amount at once, the sunscreen started to pill. This might be due to my oily skin. From the next day, I started applying half the amount, waiting a bit, then applying the other half. This definitely reduced the pilling, but it might be a bit of a hassle every morning!
TipI'm certain that once I finish this product, I'll either go back to my previous sunscreen or look for a different one! It's not because it causes blemishes or anything, it just doesn't suit my skin type or makeup preferences. As someone with oily skin who experiences makeup breakdown without touch-ups, I'm not a fan of sunscreens that leave a shiny finish. I prefer a matte look over a dewy one. The pilling issue is also a significant drawback. It's hard to start applying makeup before the sunscreen is fully absorbed, and having to apply it in two stages is inconvenient and increases my overall preparation time before going out! So, if you have oily skin and don't want to spend too much time on your makeup routine, I'd recommend a different sunscreen. However, if you have dry skin, this might work well for you! Anyway, I enjoyed being part of the Hwahae Testers! I hope my review helps you a bit in choosing your sunscreen!
