I'm on the hunt for a more hydrating sunscreen since my face gets super dry even in summer. 1. No white cast! 2. Keeps skin moisturized all day. However, this is exclusively for dry skin types. 3. It remains slightly sticky even after waiting for it to absorb, making it suitable as a makeup base.
Cons1. It has a significant oily feel and leaves a shiny finish that runs down the face. Those with oily skin should absolutely avoid this. 2. Due to its stickiness, it's challenging to use alone. Recommended for those who apply it under foundation. 3. Washes off easily with water. Even when showering, it feels like it completely disappears after rinsing a few times with just water.
TipWhen it comes to sunscreen, investing in a pricier product that you love and can use daily is actually the shortcut to saving money!

When I apply makeup over it, it gives such a natural glow that I don't even need a separate highlighter. The ingredients are also very gentle on the skin.
ConsThe price is a bit disappointing. It's rarely on sale too, which is a shame.

I love how the lightweight texture spreads smoothly when applied with hands. Even when used on arms or legs, it absorbs nicely without feeling too sticky. I apply it after my skincare routine and before makeup, and with just a light application, it doesn't cause my foundation to pill. Although it's a white cream, there's no white cast, so it's convenient as I don't need to do any additional complexion correction. I've been using it for about a week and haven't experienced any blemishes.
ConsI've heard you should apply sunscreen in an amount equal to a 500 won coin, and while I don't use quite that much, I do try to apply generously. However, with this product, a generous application leads to white clumping... So I end up applying just a little, which makes me feel like I'm not getting enough sun protection. Also, if you apply too much, it can look oily, especially in the T-zone and around the nose, making it appear like excess oil is flowing. This happens even though I have dry skin with severe atopic dermatitis...
TipIt's best to apply it in small amounts, making sure it doesn't clump or get caught in areas like the sides of the nose, around the jawline, or where there are baby hairs!

I closely observed how much it affects that base, and compared to when I didn't use it, I definitely felt like my makeup started to separate a bit faster! However, it didn't happen too quickly - it was about four hours after applying makeup when I noticed it, which is fairly reasonable
ConsOverall, it applies smoothly without causing makeup to pill, and it's generally decent! However, the downside is that after some time, my face kept feeling itchy. It didn't cause my skin to react badly, but after applying it and washing my face in the evening, my skin was itchy and slightly reddened. Those with sensitive skin might need to be a bit careful with this one
TipEven though it's soft, moisturizing, and doesn't leave a white cast, don't apply it liberally like you would a cream, or your makeup will melt off quickly. Apply a moderate amount and gently pat it in with care

However, I've noticed that using too many products can reduce the longevity of my foundation. That's why I used to be wary of rich moisturizers. But this sunscreen is perfect to apply lightly after my serum and toner, right before foundation! It doesn't cause my foundation to pill, and my makeup doesn't flake off. I'm truly satisfied with it! Plus, I didn't experience any white cast. Having used Innisfree before, this one just felt more fluid in comparison.
ConsWhile the texture isn't overly sticky, it does leave a slight glow when applied. This might be a bit much for those with oily skin or people who sweat a lot in summer. That's why I avoid applying too much on my T-zone. Also, as you can see in the photo... for some reason, it seems to make whiteheads on the nose more noticeable, unfortunately.
TipThis product would be great for those who dislike layering multiple skincare products, or for those planning to finish with a matte foundation. I use Estée Lauder Double Wear, and when I apply this sunscreen underneath and then use a matte foundation (with a damp sponge), my makeup easily lasts for 12 hours, even when applied at 6 AM. I highly recommend this combination!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsFirst, it felt as hydrating as a moisturizer or a light body emulsion. Second, there's no white cast. Third, as you can see in the photo, there's a noticeable difference between the applied and non-applied areas. While it doesn't have a whitening effect, it does give a nice glow. Fourth, sunscreens with white cast are difficult to use daily, but this product is perfect for everyday use. Fifth, it helps prevent skin from tanning quickly. As someone whose skin tans easily, I applied it thoroughly and found it provides good sun protection. (I'm posting this as part of The Hwahae Testers after winning on Hwahae)
ConsFirst, perhaps due to my oily skin, some shine does appear after a while. Second, while it applies moisturizing at first, after application it doesn't feel sticky, but somehow feels slightly tight
TipThe application method is standard, like most products. The product contains Arctic glacier water, making it suitable for sensitive and delicate skin types. It also has a high SPF and focuses on protecting against both UVA and UVB rays

Since it's for a review, I'll be completely honest. The absorbs is fantastic - it feels like an emulsion and absorbs well quickly. It's great for those with oily foreheads or combination dehydrated skin. Yet, it's not drying at all, so even my sister with dry skin loved it. There's hardly any white cast, so I even used it with my father. It contains Arctic glacier water and no harmful ingredients, so I used it with peace of mind. After using it for a week, I didn't experience any blemishes, and the scent wasn't bothersome at all. My sister, who's currently undergoing dermatological treatment and has super sensitive skin, was using a baby sunscreen. She found this one much better than that.
ConsThe price is a bit disappointing for me. It's quite expensive, so repurchasing might be difficult. However, the quantity is generous, so it will last a long time. Since there's barely any white cast, it's not ideal for use as a brightening moisturizer for going out.
TipAfter my skincare routine, I applied this sunscreen before starting my makeup. I loved how it absorbs well and seemed to create a clean base for my complexion.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsI was lucky enough to be chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers, and I'm glad I got to try this. There's hardly any white cast, and it applies moisturizing. It's somewhat similar to the Dr. Jart sunscreen with the red lettering. While I haven't tried many sunscreens, as someone with oily skin who absolutely hates greasiness, this ranks among the top non-greasy ones I've used. Above all, while I don't usually pay much attention to ingredients in sunscreens since they're necessary for UV protection, I appreciate that this one is free from chemical preservatives.
ConsI'm not sure if I should say it pills or sits on top of the skin, but it kind of rises up like white powder later on. And the price... At 42,000 won, it doesn't provide enough satisfaction to justify the cost. With such a high price tag, it feels like even the tiniest flaw is unacceptable. After using it for another month, I have to update my review. It pills and sits on the skin so much that I can't use it. I thought it might be incompatible with my skincare routine, so I tried applying it on bare skin, but it still sits on top.

Please note that my review compares this to my regular sunscreen, so individual experiences may vary. What I liked about it (compared to my usual sunscreen) is that it absorbs slightly better and leaves less of a white cast.
ConsMy skincare routine is toner-aloe-sunscreen-foundation. I only switched my usual sunscreen with the IPPO sunscreen. I applied it as I always do, gently rubbing and patting it in. Afterwards, I noticed my hands were white as if I'd touched clay, and on my face, it was pilling and flaking in patches like white powder. I had to wipe it all off with toner-soaked cotton pads. Also, it's too rich for my oily skin. Worst of all, I developed clusters of tiny blemishes around my mouth, left temple, and forehead. While I can't definitively blame the sunscreen, it's the only product I changed in my routine. On my second try, I ignored the blemishes and mixed it 2:1 with my regular sunscreen. My usual sunscreen alone leaves a severe white cast, but mixing it with IPPO added some richness and blended more naturally. However, it's still not suitable for oily skin. Additionally, I wish the fragrance was a bit milder. It's not an unpleasant scent, but it was too strong for me.
TipThis might work well for those with dry skin, but I don't think people with oily skin could use it, especially in summer. If your current sunscreen is matte but leaves a strong white cast, try mixing in a bit of IPPO for better application. I've stopped using it due to the blemishes, but I'll try it again once my skin clears up. If I have any updates to my review then, I'll share them.

First off, it absorbs really well. It feels smooth and light when applied. The white cast isn't too noticeable either. There's hardly any scent, so it's easy to use without any fuss. Also, sometimes sunscreens can sting my eyes, but this one doesn't do that at all.
ConsIt's a bit rich. After applying, I noticed my face looked a bit shiny. It's not too bad, but if you're looking for a matte finish, this might not be the best fit for you.
