I usually enjoy using cleansers that create a lot of foam, but this one doesn't. However, it still manages to remove makeup very effectively. Normally, I would use a water rinse after using a cleansing product, but I don't need to do that with this one! It's also fragrance-free, so there's no risk of headaches. And I didn't experience any eye irritation or dryness, even when using it right after removing my mask, when my skin can sometimes feel oily.
ConsThe only downside is that it contains quite a few ingredients, which I'm not too thrilled about.

I would mix it with a bit of water and cleanse my face, and the cleansing power was fine. When it touched my face, I felt like there weren't any bad ingredients in it, so it felt gentle, and I used this cleanser for about 7 months. But I was surprised by the ingredients and stopped using it.
ConsI usually prefer cleansers that produce a lot of foam, but this one didn't have much, which was disappointing. It looked transparent and gentle, so I thought the ingredients would be good, but when I checked the full ingredients one day, I was shocked. After cleansing, there was always a tight feeling, and I wondered why, but it was just because of the ingredients, so I stopped using it. Looking at other reviews, I found that I wasn't the only one experiencing this.
TipEven among dry skin types, some people's skin may suit this, and it didn't seem to make my skin flip out or anything, but I would recommend this more for oily skin types!

While I haven't used the Clear Cleanser for a long time (a few years), I can confidently say that it performs well as a cleanser. It is effective in addressing my breakouts, making it suitable for my acne-prone oily skin. The frequency of my breakouts has decreased, but I still do get some breakouts occasionally. (As it is not a medicinal product, I don't have high expectations.) However, the formulation is good, it is slightly acidic, and it is a gel-type, so there is no oily residue. I have used other Pola Choice cleansers that were recommended for breakouts, but they were more expensive and had a creamy texture, which made my skin feel a bit greasy. But this cleanser doesn't make my skin feel greasy or dry, and the best part is that it leaves my skin comfortably moisturized without drying it out. Additionally, it doesn't irritate my skin at all, so I can use it daily without any issues. In summary, this is the best Pola Choice cleanser I have used so far.
ConsThere's really nothing else wrong, except that the lather doesn't form very well! However, I don't really care much about the lather, so it's not a big disappointment for me, but I know there are people who prefer a rich lather, so I'm including that. Lastly, the cleansing power seems average to me. But I actually prefer cleansers that aren't too strong. Because cleansers with strong cleansing power often tend to be irritating. Sunscreen can be removed with just one application, and makeup can be removed with just two applications. In my opinion, the cleansing power is fine and not really an issue, but I know some people these days prefer stronger cleansing power, so I'm mentioning that. The cleansing power of this product isn't strong enough to remove all the residue deep in the pores, but in my personal opinion, while it's important to thoroughly remove makeup, I'm not sure if it's necessary to completely remove every last bit of residue, even if it means causing irritation. It might even make the skin worse due to the irritation. ++Update: I deducted 2 stars because there was an ingredient in this product that didn't agree with my skin, and it caused skin irritation. I didn't realize it was due to this product since I didn't have any issues for a while, but once I switched to a gentler cleanser, the irritation went away.
TipIt's true that the cleanser contains babassu, but since it's a cleansing product and a rinse-off cleansing foam, the babassu is also washed off. However, since the babassu ingredient is present, those who are sensitive to babassu or experience side effects should carefully consider this product before making a purchase.

Especially in the winter, my face would feel tight even before my skin was completely dry after cleansing, but that issue has significantly improved with this product. I started using it because of my acne, and while it hasn't completely cleared my acne (I'm still using the toner from the same line), at least it hasn't made it worse, so I've continued using it.
ConsSince it's a gel type, it doesn't produce a very rich lather. So if you prefer creamy cleansing foams, you might find it difficult to adjust to this product at first. And after cleansing, you get more of a slippery feeling rather than a squeaky-clean one. Personally, I think that's why my skin feels less tight, but those who dislike that kind of sensation might not find it suitable.

Although my skin looks fine on the surface when I'm wearing makeup, once I remove it, my pores, oiliness, and acne scars make my skin look messy and uneven. I've tried switching cleansers multiple times, but then I randomly discovered this one and gave it a try, and it's been great. I even recommended it to a friend who also has sensitive skin, and she's been using it for a few years now too. The cleansing is gentle and non-irritating. I actually pre-cleanse with a cleansing water first, and then use this for the main cleansing, both morning and night. The reason I keep coming back to this product is that it just works - it doesn't cause breakouts or irritation. I highly recommend it.
ConsSince it doesn't produce a lot of rich lather, those who prefer a foamy cleansing experience may find it a bit disappointing. But I use a pore brush to work up a nice lather, and that works well for me.
TipThey often have sales, so stocking up during those times is a good tip. Honestly, I think this cleanser works well for most skin types.
