The honey ingredient provides excellent hydration. Plus, the scent isn't overpowering, making it comfortable to use.
ConsPerhaps due to the honey content, you need to tap the container several times to get the product out. After application, the texture feels a bit sticky, so it seems to take longer to absorb. If this issue could be resolved, I'd consider repurchasing it.

After all, Kiehl's is known for moisturizing products. When you first apply it, it feels a bit sticky, which might work well for those with dry skin who need that extra moisture. However, if you have oily skin, you might want to steer clear of this one.
ConsI wouldn't recommend this for oily skin types. After using this product and sleeping, I woke up in the morning with my face looking incredibly greasy, as if I'd applied oil all over. It was shocking how oily it felt when I touched my skin. The absorption isn't great either - you really need to pat it in firmly for it to sink in. As time passes, it seems to stimulate even more sebum production. Therefore, I'd only recommend this to those with dry skin.

The texture is really rich and thick, with a strong ginger-honey scent that wasn't quite my style. But since it's winter, I decided to give it a try and here's my review. As I mentioned, the fragrance was quite strong for me initially. Despite its thick consistency, it absorbed surprisingly well. It's very moisturizing and hydrating - I'd definitely recommend it for those with super dry skin. It might be a bit heavy for combination skin types and up. I found it more effective to apply at night rather than in the morning, as it felt a bit heavy during the day. It also tended to cause some pilling under makeup. The ingredient list is fairly short, which isn't bad, and it seems to lock in hydration and moisture really well.
ConsThe absorption wasn't as satisfying on my face as I'd hoped. Also, it leaves a bit of an oily residue, so I wouldn't recommend it if you dislike that feeling on your skin. It's really best suited for those with very dry skin. Also, since it contains shea butter, there's a possibility it might trigger blemishes.
TipIt feels heavy in the morning, so applying it at night before bed seems to be more effective.

Cons- It's neither hydrating nor moisturizing, and it's extremely sticky. You need to work it in thoroughly for absorption (poor spreadability) - The ingredients aren't great, and I developed blemishes after using it (not suitable for sensitive skin) - The strong fragrance is off-putting - Innisfree products are disappointingly less gentle than expected and quite underwhelming

ConsIt absorbs slowly, and even after patting it in extensively, it leaves a sticky finish. As someone with combination skin, I don't think I could use this outside of winter. For hydration, I'd rather layer lighter products and seal them with an oil instead.
TipMake sure to control the amount you use.

It felt wonderfully moisturizing on the skin.
ConsIt's too greasy to use outside of winter. After application, it doesn't absorb immediately, leaving an oily sheen on the face. When used with a moisturizing cushion, it pills right away. When applied to blemishes, it seems to make the skin condition worse.
TipInitially, I didn't mind using it, but since developing blemishes due to fatigue, I've become hesitant. It seems to increase skin warmth and worsen blemishes. For those with combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin like mine, I'd recommend considering carefully. I've used half the product and will likely resume use after my skin calms down.

I was tired of buying and returning, so when a staff member gave me a sample, I tried the emulsion first. It's pleasantly moisturizing. When applied at night, my skin feels soft and supple in the morning. I had some allergies and blemishes from using incompatible products, but whether it's due to good hydration or just a good match for me, they've reduced a bit. ◇ Great moisturizing power After applying and letting it absorb, there's a subtle glow on the skin's surface, and it feels firm like mochi. The hydration is so good that my skin doesn't feel tight even under air conditioning or heating. For those whose lips crack in winter no matter what they use, try applying a thick layer on your lips before bed - it helps. Added review from December 1, 2018: With the weather getting colder and drier lately, I couldn't use matte products. But when I use this as a base, my skin looks truly beautiful. I even used it with a tea tree cushion known for extreme cracking, and it didn't break down unpleasantly. It's also lip-cracking season, but my lips didn't crack. The moisturizing power seems pretty good.
Cons◇ Disappointing ingredients I didn't notice when using the sample because I used small amounts, but the ingredients are quite disappointing. Shea butter might work differently for everyone, but there are many pore-clogging ingredients. If you have oily skin, it's best to check the ingredients before deciding to purchase. ◇ Insufficient absorption and stickiness Given its name includes 'honey', it's perhaps unavoidable, but it leaves a sticky feeling after application, causing hair to stick to the skin. It does absorb after some time, but this emulsion has an oily feel, so you need to control the amount well. It's a product that requires a lot of attention in various ways. Added review from December 1, 2018: I tried the full-size product, and while it made my dry skin soft and supple, small blemishes started popping up. I think it's due to the pore-clogging ingredients, so those with oily skin should be careful with the amount used. I applied too much without thinking and was shocked the next day.
