This lip balm is absolutely amazing! As someone who frequently gets hard, large patches of dead skin cells on my lips, my top criteria for choosing a lip balm is always how well it exfoliates. Out of the dozens of lip balms I own, this one takes the crown! 1. It exfoliates incredibly well without any irritation - the dead skin cells just gently fall off. What's fascinating is that after exfoliating with this balm, my lips become super plump. They're smooth, soft, and bouncy! It's truly remarkable. 2. It's perfect for applying before bed or throughout the day. When applied, it gives your lips a slight glossy effect, so you can achieve that juicy lip look when layered over lip tint. Since it exfoliates so well, it's also fantastic to use before bedtime. Honestly, it's great to use from dawn to dusk! 3. You don't even need to leave it on for long - just 10-20 minutes is enough for exfoliation. It's unbelievable! Even if you forget to apply it before bed, just pop it on while doing your makeup, and say goodbye to dead skin cells. It's the best! 4. The generous size is a huge plus! I actually bought it for the volume and tin case, thinking I might not use it all up. But the product is so incredibly good that the large size has become a major advantage. It doesn't seem to run out quickly even with liberal use, so don't hesitate to apply it generously! 5. The fragrance and feel are wonderful. It has a subtle rose and mint scent that's not overpowering - it's such a pleasant aroma. The scent fades slightly once applied, so it's not bothersome at all. Plus, it has a cooling effect when applied, which is perfect for those who love that sensation! This one product eliminates the need for lip gloss or lip masks - it's truly an all-in-one miracle worker. Out of the dozens of lip balms I've tried, very few have satisfied my blemish-prone lips, but this one is my top pick... no, it's beyond that. I'll use it for life! While the photo might not show much use, this is actually my third tin. As much as it has many advantages, there are a few downsides. It melts too easily, so you can't carry it around in summer. If you take it out on a hot day, you might end up with a lip balm party the moment you open the case! The case quality is very inconsistent. Some open easily, while others are incredibly difficult to open. Then there are some that open too loosely, making you afraid to carry them around. It's really disappointing that you can't check this before purchasing. If you get one that's hard to open, you'll have to deal with that stress every time you use it until it's finished, which could be months. I carry a tiny 3g jar with a small amount, which is great because even if it melts, it's not a big deal. When I'm super busy or lazy and haven't had time for exfoliation, I just apply a bit over my lip tint. It makes my lips look plump and beautiful. I can go about my day like that, and then just wipe it off with a tissue before eating to remove the dead skin cells. Also, it's more cost-effective to buy several at once when purchasing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 4, 2021
I love the soothing sensation when applied to the lips. It's the most effective product I've used for managing dead skin cells, and I've been consistently using this Rosebud product for 7 years now. The quantity is generous too - one jar lasts me almost a year. If you don't store it properly in summer, it can melt completely... You need to take good care of it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 5, 2019
While all Rosebud Salve products are great, the Mint Rose version with its minty ingredient worked best for me! I carried it everywhere, applying it liberally to my lips, around my nose, elbows, heels, and pretty much all over my body. Due to its formulation, it's unavoidable that the product melts on its own during summer. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinJul 9, 2018
Out of all the lip balms I've tried, this one keeps my lips moisturized the longest. The amount is generous too - I use it daily and it seems to last forever! It's a bit inconvenient to apply as you need to scoop it out with your fingers. In summer, the product tends to soften due to the heat. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 26, 2018
I absolutely adore both the scent and color - they're exactly what I love! The tin case is also incredibly cute. Some people complain about the lack of color, but I actually prefer it colorless. These days, I'm using it with Vaseline for an even more subtle tint. And I think those who enjoy the scent of medicinal ointments might like this fragrance too! The application feel is pretty much the same as the original. Oh, and about the reviews mentioning the inconvenient lid - it gets better and looser with continued use! I forgot to mention this in my review of the original, but the adherence... it's like the lip balm and your lips are two separate entities! Apart from that, it's good. If you're worried about contamination, you might want to opt for the tube version. Also, be careful as this melts easily in summer! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 13, 2018
In this weather, our lips tend to crack, split, and even bleed, don't they? This lip balm is a real game-changer! It smooths away all the dead skin cells, leaving your lips silky smooth and incredibly hydrated. The generous amount you get is a huge plus. It's honestly become my holy grail lip product since Vaseline. While it's a bit disappointing that it melts easily in summer, I still make sure to carry it with me all the time, knowing this drawback. Just like Vaseline, it works wonders when you apply a thick layer before makeup or before bed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinOct 16, 2017
I used to have severe lip dryness that required me to buy lip balm every time I went out without it. I've tried many lip balms, but this one not only moisturizes the surface but also deeply hydrates the inner layers. Unlike other lip balms that only moisturize the surface, this one truly nourishes my lips all the way through. I used up an entire tube before and repurchased it. In the meantime, I've tried various options, but this is still the best for my dry, chapped lips. Although it may seem pricey, it lasts a long time, so it's worth it! There's no stickiness, and even when I apply a generous amount due to the refreshing mint, it doesn't feel heavy or stuffy - just cool and pleasant. The downside is that it melts very easily in the summer. Since it's a pot type, there are some hygiene concerns. At first, the mint feels incredibly refreshing, but that sensation seems to dull over time. If you apply too much, it can start to look oily. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinOct 2, 2016
The product has a refreshing minty sensation when applied to the lips. It glides on smoothly and lasts a long time. The amount of product is generous considering the price. It applies richly and quickly becomes soft and supple. After some time, it starts to feel drying on the lips. I didn't particularly feel it was great for my lips. It's just a basic lip balm. In the summer, it can melt and become inconvenient to use. There is a slight greasy feeling to it, so those who dislike that may not enjoy it. The stick format also makes it challenging to use hygienically. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 30, 2016
1. It is effective in immediately soothing lip flakiness. 2. The lips shine with a glossy, radiant appearance, just like when applying a lip gloss. 1. It melts in the summer and hardens in the winter. 2. There is not a strong sense of the lips becoming thoroughly moisturized and healthy. Be sure to apply it before putting on lipstick. If you apply it before using a matte lipstick, the lipstick will go on smoothly, and it will also cover the lip flakiness, making your lips look beautiful. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2016
Applying this at night and sleeping with it can effectively exfoliate and smooth out severely chapped lips the next day. The refreshing mint scent may feel a bit strong at first, but it has a subtle addictive quality to it. I even bought one for my sensitive-skinned younger brother, and he likes it too. It feels a bit heavy and glossy. It's better to just lightly dab it on during the day, and apply a generous amount before going to bed at night.
