I've been using this for nearly 6 years now. I've lost it several times and tried other products when I did, but I always end up coming back to Mint Rose... At first, the mint scent feels refreshing, but after using it for so long, I've gotten used to it and barely notice the mint fragrance anymore. It makes my mouth feel moist and very hydrated. However, it gives such a glossy finish that I probably couldn't apply it over matte lip products. There's a difference in scent between a new one and one that's been used for a while. It seems the fragrance fades quite a bit with use! But that's not really an issue. The case can be a bit tricky to open if it catches wrong, but you can always opt for the tube version. Apply it frequently throughout the day for best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 5, 2021
It seems to work well for me. During the day, I just pat on a little bit and it gives a hydrated look. Since it's an oily product, it's not overly thick, so when I apply it at night before bed, it washes off easily in the morning, leaving my lips feeling moisturized. I love the scent, and above all, the case is really pretty! It can be a bit shiny, so if you're wearing it casually during the day, it's best to just pat on a small amount for a hydrated look. If you apply it like a regular lip balm, it can look quite greasy. Also, if you don't have much strength in your nails, opening the lid might be a bit challenging at times. If your lips feel a bit dry after applying lip tint, it's nice to gently pat this on with your fingers. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 25, 2020
The case is really pretty. The product itself has a lovely light rose tint, which is absolutely beautiful. When applied, it feels slightly cool, which adds to its charm. It's not hard but slightly melted, so it applies with a moisturizing feel. The staying power is also quite good. Drawbacks: Since it's applied by hand and it's quite moisturizing, it can be a bit annoying to wipe off the residue left on your fingers. It's also on the expensive side. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 4, 2020
This lip balm has a refreshing mint scent with a slight cooling effect. It's not greasy and provides just the right amount of hydration. The staying power isn't very long, and it's not the type of lip balm that will soften dead skin cells on your lips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinApr 15, 2020
Absolutely love it! The minty scent is delightful, and it instantly moisturizes my lips. The quantity is generous too. I've been using it for over a year now, and I truly recommend it. It quickly removes dead skin cells from the lips as well. There's not much to complain about, really. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it would be nice if it came in a larger size. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 19, 2020
I love the refreshing, minty sensation. It's hydrating and the color is almost transparent, which is great. Applying it with your fingers might raise some hygiene concerns. It's convenient to scoop some into a small container to carry around. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinDec 3, 2019
Hydration: As a lip balm, I love its moisturizing effect! When applied, it feels so hydrating. I always apply a small amount of this product before my lip makeup routine. Absorption: While application can be a bit tricky, it absorbs really well! It melts smoothly and sinks right into the skin. Application: It comes in a tin case, so I usually have to rub it with my fingers to apply. Using a cotton swab might be better, but sometimes the cotton fibers stick to it. It's heartbreaking when a stray hair gets in there! Quantity: The amount is enormous... I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it all up. I wish they'd sell a smaller quantity at a lower price. Hydrating mask: On days when my lips are very chapped with lots of dead skin cells, I apply this generously like a hydrating mask, cover it with plastic wrap, and sleep with it on. The next morning, it's like waking up to completely different lips! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 29, 2019
I have a habit of picking at my lips, which makes them extremely dry. I usually apply a lot of lip balm, but it only feels moisturizing for a moment and absorbs too quickly, so I have to keep reapplying. However, Smith's Rosebud Salve keeps my lips hydrated all day long. It's really great! To be honest, there's nothing disappointing about this product. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the cap can be a bit difficult to open. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 18, 2019
It feels refreshingly cool when applied, and I love its moisturizing, lightweight texture. The scent is a pleasant blend of mint and rose, and the generous size means it lasts for ages. I've tried several Smith's lip balms, but this one is my absolute favorite. While it used to be easily available at Olive Young, it's disappointing that now we have to order it from overseas. Also, the tin case can be tricky to open if you have anything on your hands. For best results, apply a generous amount before bed and gently massage it in the morning. This routine ensures smooth lips, no matter what you put on them afterwards. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 11, 2019
It deeply moisturizes chapped lips and maintains that hydration for a long time. Both the original and this version worked well for my lips. It reminds me of an anti-inflammatory cream. Personally, I think the original version is better.
