  I previously bought the Houttuynia Cordata Care Serum and it worked well for me, so I decided to purchase the toner from the same line. First off, the ingredients are great. I've been using it for two days now, so I can't speak to whether it causes blemishes, but since the serum was gentle, I expect this won't be an issue either. The toner has good absorption and isn't heavy - it's a lightly tinted type. I also love the subtle fragrance. I'm currently using it in two layers each application.

  I gifted this to a friend along with other cosmetics, and we tried it together. I have sensitive dry skin, while my friend has oily skin that's becoming dehydrated. First off, the Houttuynia Cordata ingredient can be hit or miss in terms of scent, but fortunately, this one has a pleasantly subtle fragrance. When applied to the back of my hand, it absorbs quickly while leaving the skin hydrated. There's no itching or irritation at all, making it comfortable for frequent use.

  As someone who doesn't usually expect much from toners, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this one felt. It has the watery texture I personally prefer, and perhaps due to the houttuynia cordata extract, it felt less irritating on my skin. I also loved the subtle Earl Grey-like scent.

  Cons

  The shelf life is only 6 months, which is quite short compared to other toners that typically last 12 months. It's not an issue for me since I go through a bottle every 2 months, but those who use toners more slowly should keep a close eye on the expiration date.
