I was using a toner that wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly satisfying either, so I decided to switch to something new. My skin tends to be on the dry side, and even hydrating toners weren't cutting it. It seemed like my skin would get rough if I didn't pay constant attention to it, so after some deliberation, I decided to try a toner with soothing houttuynia cordata extract. I've been using it for about 10 days now, and my skin has noticeably become smoother. I hadn't even mentioned changing my toner to my husband, but out of the blue, he asked what I'd done because my skin looked better! There's absolutely no alcohol scent, and I didn't experience any stinging or itching. I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this has a subtle scent that didn't bother me at all. It's much better than artificial, overly perfumed products. I've had bad reactions to cotton pads before, so I pat the toner in with my hands several times to help it absorb. The runny texture isn't difficult to use, so it wasn't inconvenient. I think it's better to pat it in rather than using it as an exfoliating toner. I find it works best when applied after thorough cleansing. I used to use a cheap, large-volume cleansing foam because it was convenient, but when I started paying more attention to my cleansing routine, I noticed a big difference in how my skin absorbed the toner. I realize now that I had been neglecting proper cleansing and soothing steps. I'm still faithfully following the '7-skin method' that was popular a while back, and it seems to work even better with this toner. Even though it can be a bit tedious to pat it in multiple times, I'm going to keep at it consistently. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 3, 2024
The scent of houttuynia cordata is pleasant, and it's convenient to use by dispensing onto a cotton pad While it's a bit disappointing that the toner occasionally drips down the bottle, I'm still satisfied with the product overall - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2024
It applies smoothly, making it a great first step in your routine without feeling heavy. It's versatile - you can use it as an exfoliating toner or as a mask, and both methods help refine skin texture. It really helped with redness and calming my skin. The fragrance-free formula makes it a solid, all-around product. There weren't any particular downsides. If I had to nitpick, sometimes it drips a bit around the opening, which might be a minor hygiene concern. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 30, 2024
⭐️Holy Grail Toner⭐️ Type: Slippery liquid formula Texture: Slightly sticky ➡️ Personally, I find toners with a bit of stickiness help with deep dryness! Scent: Herbal? Over the past 1-2 years, my skin's deep dryness has worsened, so I've tried switching up toners, essences, and creams. I've come to the personal conclusion that the 'toner' - the first thing you apply - is the most crucial. I think I've tried every toner out there! 🥲 Especially, water-based toners that leave skin feeling drier and toners that only add oiliness to the skin's surface make the deep dryness so much worse. It's a very personal observation, but I've found that toners that feel slightly sticky when patting them into your skin with your palms help prevent that deep dryness! This Dajayeon Houttuynia Cordata toner is exactly that :) I think I've consistently used over 5 bottles 👍🏼 (I occasionally try other products out of curiosity but always come back to this due to deep dryness haha) Because of my severe deep dryness, I always layer this toner at least 3 times, regardless of the season! The packaging is a bit disappointing. Every time I use it, the toner drips down the opening. I wish they would redesign the bottle! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 22, 2024
I'm satisfied with its soothing effect and the fact that it doesn't cause any blemishes. The ingredients seem gentle, and there's not much fragrance either. The toner is quite watery, so a lot of it tends to run off my palms. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 6, 2023
The product absorbs quickly and doesn't cause any irritation after use, which I really appreciated. It has a runny consistency, so it might be suitable if you're looking for a lightweight product. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinNov 30, 2023
It's great for soothing the skin, provides excellent hydration, doesn't cause irritation, and has a lovely scent It tends to run down the face, leaves residue, and causes some itching - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2023
Dajayeon's Houttuynia Cordata toner is truly exceptional in terms of effectiveness and performance. It offers excellent hydration and soothing benefits, and it's remarkably gentle without causing irritation. The formula has a transparent, light brown color with a water-like consistency. Given its water-like texture, it tends to flow quickly like water when applied. I wish the volume was a bit more generous. For best results, try using it as a skin pack by generously soaking thin cotton pads and applying them to dry areas of your skin. This method works wonders. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 2, 2023
It's great for soothing the skin, non-irritating, and provides excellent hydration with a pleasant scent It tends to run off easily, causes itching, and leaves residue on the skin Use it like a facial mist - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinOct 7, 2023
This toner has a water-like texture that feels light yet provides ample hydration. It's perfect for soothing and replenishing moisture throughout the day. I've been using it on a cotton pad as a calming treatment. Due to its watery consistency, it can run if you pour out too much. That's why I prefer applying it with a cotton pad. No need for toner pads - I'm just using it with regular cotton pads and it works great!
