It provided as much hydration as thicker, more viscous toners. The scent wasn't overpowering, which is typical of houttuynia cordata products. I've had blemishes from other products with this ingredient, depending on the concentration, but fortunately this one suited my skin well and was great for soothing blemishes. Overall, it's a solid, reliable product.
ConsAmong the watery toners I've used, this one left my skin feeling quite rich after application. When I followed it with heavy serums and creams, my face produced excess oil faster than usual. Also, it stung if it got into my eyes.

Fortunately, it's still hydrating and good for my skin, so I'll just use it by soaking a sponge pad generously and sticking it on my face while I dry my hair.
ConsI bought this to use with the serum, but it's so irritating and stings my eyes that I can't even apply it to my whole face using my palms.

Remembering that Dajayeon products were mild and effective, I decided to try this one. The soothing properties of houttuynia cordata also seemed promising. I mainly used it as a skin pack every 2-3 days. It's great for easy use in summer. When layering multiple times or using as a skin pack, it leaves a slightly slippery feeling on the skin. You need to apply moisturizer quickly to lock in the hydration.
ConsIt stung when it got into my eyes, and I felt a slight tingling sensation even when it touched small scratches on my skin that I wasn't aware of.

But since using this toner, those morning breakouts have stopped! The Houttuynia Cordata's soothing effect is perfect for me! Actually, for combination dehydrated skin, using the wrong hydrating product can lead to severe blemishes the next day. This toner, however, provides just the right amount of hydration, keeping my skin neither dry nor oily. It's really great! I wish I had started using this sooner. I used to be a toner nomad, but I've finally found my home with this one.
ConsThere's honestly nothing I dislike about it. It's absolutely perfect for my skin. Oh, well, I suppose there is one tiny thing - probably due to the Houttuynia Cordata, if it gets in your eyes, there's a slight stinging sensation... Haha!

It was a solid, reliable choice overall.
ConsThe only downside was that even the slightest contact with my eyes caused quite a bit of tingling. That was a bit disappointing.
TipI'd recommend applying it with a cotton pad rather than directly with your hands. When I rushed in the morning and hastily applied it with my fingers, I couldn't control the amount well. The burning sensation in my eyes was so intense, I thought I was going to die!

ConsIt stings a bit if it gets in your eyes. However, it's not irritating enough to be bothersome, and it's actually less tingling than the toner I used before!

It stings and itches terribly.
ConsIt's so irritating. After applying, my skin feels like it's on fire and won't calm down. It stings so much! It's unbearably painful! When the tingling sensation finally subsides, the itching starts. It's awful!

Interestingly, my skin tends to develop more tiny bumps in winter than in summer. I've been loving the Dajayeon pack so much that I ordered two bottles during the Lala* sale. I'm now on my second bottle after finishing the first one. It's been great - no blemishes, and when I use it with a cotton pad, it cleanses smoothly without any stickiness. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. Before this, I was using the blue Bioderma toner, which was slightly less moisturizing. Since switching to this, I haven't had any major breakouts. I definitely want to stock up during the next sale!
ConsThe previous product I used had a snap-open lid, which was convenient. This one requires twisting to open, which is a bit inconvenient. Also, it stings a little if it gets into your eyes.
