As someone with light cool-toned combination skin (not too dry or oily, but suits a glowy finish) in shade 19, I find this foundation creates a beautiful skin-like finish with a nice glow. It's moisturizing and, best of all, evens out my complexion beautifully. It's truly disappointing that I can't use it due to blemishes. Why, oh why did this have to happen?! I used this for about 3-4 days recently, and from the very first night, my face started itching and small and large blemishes appeared. I've never had issues with blemishes before, and even if I got the occasional spot, it would disappear after a good night's sleep. But while using this, the blemishes kept increasing and the itching got worse. After stopping use, my skin is slowly recovering. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 11, 2024
This would be great for those who don't suit or prefer not to wear heavy makeup For combination dehydrated skin (oily T-zone, extremely dry elsewhere). At first, I got tiny bumps on my chin, then blemishes spread to my forehead, around my nose, and cheeks. This is the first time in 6-7 years I've had such skin issues. This product was the only change in my routine. After reading reviews on Hwahae and Olive Young, I realized this was the culprit. I'm throwing it away immediately! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinOct 7, 2024
It naturally brightens your complexion with a subtle, natural rosy tint. Without powder, it turns into an oil slick after about 3-4 hours. Also, as someone with sensitive skin, my blemishes got much worse. Make sure to use powder, and I don't recommend this for super sensitive skin! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2024
It feels moisturizing and seems great for when you need to reapply sunscreen frequently while out and about My T-zone and chin tend to get oily, but with this, it feels even more pronounced... Plus, after using this, I noticed more blemishes popping up.. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJul 4, 2024
I loved how my skin looked clean and fresh as soon as I applied it I rarely get blemishes, but this product caused my skin to break out for the first time ever... - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 1, 2024
Gorgeous! No darkening and no breakdown - it made my skin look amazing. I thought this was my holy grail cushion. For the first time in my life, my skin completely freaked out. It's been a month and I'm still not recovered... Inflamed, pus-filled blemishes have taken over my forehead, temples, jawline, and even my nose. Using steroids has made my pores look huge, and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I'm at my wit's end. It's quite a talent to destroy skin this badly in just a week. I can't even warn just sensitive-skinned people not to use this. I don't even have particularly sensitive skin, yet it still wrecked me... Only those with skin of steel should use this. I truly can't go out in public right now. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2024
It really brightens up my complexion! I love a natural, translucent skin look, and this works great as a brightening moisturizer. Oh no... My skin was in such great condition lately, but after using this, I broke out in folliculitis, blemishes, and hives. It was like mosquito bites... so itchy I thought I'd die. At first, I thought it was because of the cold when I went to see snow at Daegwallyeong, but when I applied it again and got the same symptoms, I realized it was this product. The hives went down quickly, but the folliculitis... though small to the touch, left about two inflamed red spots that lasted for a week. Also, while I usually like white brightening moisturizers for their whitening effect, since I have some redness and a cool winter complexion... when I apply this, I seriously look like I'm drunk! I really didn't like it. Good for those with yellow undertones. If you have redness, avoid this! You'll end up looking like a carrot. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 6, 2024
It naturally evens skin tone and is convenient for those days when you don't want to go bare-faced but also don't feel like putting on full makeup. The subtle fragrance is also pleasant. Perhaps due to my dry skin, it felt a bit patchy after some time. More importantly, on the second night of use, I noticed red blemishes (not acne) appearing from my cheeks to the bridge of my nose. On the third day, thinking it might just be poor skin condition, I used the product again, but by nighttime, it had worsened. I immediately stopped using it and focused on skincare, and the blemishes subsided after 3-4 days. It was a week of poor skin condition, so I'm tempted to try the product again to confirm if it was truly the cause, but I'm too afraid to do so. I contacted Ameli, but they asked me to get a medical diagnosis to prove their product caused the skin issues. As a result, I couldn't even get a partial refund and have just stored it away. Those with super sensitive skin, please be careful. After this incident, I compared the ingredients with my usual cushions and found that this product contains components that can irritate skin when exposed to UV rays after application. Please keep this in mind. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 23, 2023
Evens skin tone nicely, giving a peachy complexion. That's the only good thing about it though. You're better off using something else. Not sure if it's the ingredients, but using this alone wreaks havoc on my skin. I got blemishes after using it, so it became a drawer dweller. I tried it again recently when my skin was in good condition, but sure enough, my face completely broke out. Never using it again. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 9, 2023
My skin looks beautiful and the complexion is naturally evened out, which I absolutely love! I wonder if it's because my skin is super sensitive... Whenever I use only the Ameli cushion, my face keeps breaking out and I get what seems like an allergic reaction... So even though it's pretty, I can't use it and it's just sitting there unused.
