It applies thinly and gives a natural, radiant look. The effect is more of a white glow rather than a peachy tone. Perhaps due to its slightly matte finish, it tends to separate on the skin after some time. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinJun 3, 2025
I've been using this for about three months now. I love how it makes my skin look thinner and more translucent - it really brightens up my complexion! The only slight downside was that it took me a while to figure out the right amount to use at first. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 17, 2025
I've repurchased it two or three times. I prefer a light and transparent makeup, so I really love Ameli's natural-looking tone-up effect...♡ It has no coverage at all, but that's the charm. If I apply a bright concealer to the areas that need coverage, my skin looks really good and beautiful. The coverage is absolutely non-existent, there is literally no coverage at all. You shouldn't think of it as a regular cushion. On days when my skin condition was poor, there was also a slightly floating feeling. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2024
It applies naturally and lightly. When you spread a very small amount thinly, it adheres beautifully without separating even as time passes. I've been using it well for a long time, but it stings after developing seborrheic dermatitis. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 1, 2024
• Applies thinly but provides noticeable brightening • Beautiful pink ivory complexion (a thin layer of Dohwa cushion brightens more than multiple layers of other brightening moisturizers) • Surprisingly long-lasting! • Applies unevenly when used alone • Coverage is practically non-existent • While it lasts longer than expected, it's only suitable for short outings of 3-4 hours • Despite being a product to apply before cushion foundation, it's very drying, making it difficult to find a compatible cushion • If you want to use a lighter shade of cushion foundation but worry about darkening, try applying Dohwa first, then layering your cushion on top • Due to its drying effect, I recommend a thorough skincare routine + a hydrating base or sunscreen + Dohwa + cushion foundation combination - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAug 25, 2024
Achieve a natural, bare-faced look with clear and translucent skin. Apply a very thin layer of this product all over your face, then gently pat a high-coverage cushion on top as if you're layering. It's a perfect match! With this combination, I constantly hear compliments like 'Your face looks so bright and fair' and 'Your skin is amazing'. No coverage, extremely moisturizing which causes hair to stick to the face (finishing powder is a must), and the quantity is small. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinFeb 17, 2024
I used to love this brightening moisturizer a few years ago - there was this amazing one that made my skin look so fair and radiant. After it was discontinued, I couldn't find anything I liked as much... But Ameli Dohwa is truly revolutionary! It goes on so thin, and at first you're like 'Huh?', but once it absorbs, your complexion becomes beautifully bright! You don't even need to use powder, but as someone who always contours my nose, I still powder and add lots of contouring... Yet there's absolutely none of that heavy, cakey feeling you usually get with foundation. It's seriously magical! For my shade 22 skin tone, it was a bit too light. But if you adjust the amount carefully, it settles nicely after a while! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinFeb 5, 2024
It applies incredibly thinly while naturally evening out your skin tone, making it perfect for daily use. You can definitely go foundation-free with this! Because it's so sheer, when you apply contouring or highlighter on top, it tends to disappear. For a full makeup look, I'd suggest adding a touch of foundation to key areas. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 13, 2024
This brightening moisturizer is perfect for those quick trips to the corner store or when you want that natural, bare-faced look. It applies so thinly, making it ideal for those who dislike heavy base makeup or blessed with naturally great skin. The coverage is practically non-existent. If you're looking to conceal anything, I'd recommend a different cushion. I personally found it a bit tricky to apply. Apply it in thin layers, building it up gradually. After a few minutes, you'll notice your complexion looking more radiant and glowing. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2023
1. Natural look: As a brightening moisturizer cushion, it applies in a very thin layer, resulting in a natural appearance! It's perfect for when you want to achieve that 'no-makeup' look..! (Of course, this is based on those with really fair skin tones - it didn't work for me, unfortunately) 1. Longevity: It breaks down quickly and becomes patchy on areas with more oil 2. Coverage: Being a brightening moisturizer cushion, it has virtually no coverage! Those with blemishes or severe discoloration might struggle to use this alone... I have quite a bit of discoloration, so when I applied the cushion to my uneven complexion, it looked patchy..! 3. Color: The shade is basically white with a tiny drop of pink. It sounded pretty in theory, but when applied to my yellow-toned skin, it just sat on top and looked unnatural.. Especially since I have a cool-toned complexion around shade 20.5, and the Dohwa cushion only comes in one shade, it will likely look too light on anyone who doesn't have extremely fair skin If you have severe discoloration, use a color corrector to even out your overall skin tone before applying the cushion! Make sure to apply it thoroughly on your neck as well for a somewhat less noticeable makeup look!
