My skin type: Sensitive and acne-prone. With summer bringing chaos to my acne, I was looking for a product that's moisturizing but leaves a matte finish. This product fits the bill perfectly! It feels like an emulsion when applying, but leaves the skin feeling powder-soft afterwards. The brightening effect is on point! While I love this aspect, it's also a bit of a drawback. It does become more natural-looking over time (though it takes a while). Considering the price, it's not bad, and the strong brightening effect means you use less product. This leads to it lasting longer, haha! It feels like this lasts twice as long as other sunscreens of the same volume. Good! I wanted a natural brightening effect, but was disappointed to find I looked like a kabuki actor after application. Using a tiny amount doesn't provide enough sun protection, but using enough for proper protection makes my skin look too white and difficult to apply. If your skin isn't in good condition, or if you touch your face after application, it pills badly. It comes off like a sort of residue or eraser dust. The brightening effect is out of this world, so be careful with the amount you use! -> It's better used as a brightening moisturizer rather than a sunscreen, haha. You might have to give up on sun protection. Only use on days when your skin is in good condition -> The brightening effect makes any skin imperfections very noticeable. Don't touch your face after application -> If you touch or rub your face, it comes off like residue. If you follow these tips, you should be able to use it effectively! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJan 31, 2021
I'm currently on my second bottle of this sunscreen after finishing the first one completely! The natural brightening effect of this sunscreen is much more subtle than those with a white cast. After application, my face looks radiant as if it's my natural complexion - I absolutely love it! Compared to the Dr.G sunscreen I've used before, this one is far more hydrating! With my dry skin, the Dr.G sunscreen would leave my face feeling parched when I went out, but with this one, I experience much less dryness. There's not really anything I dislike about it! If I had to nitpick, it's more of an expected issue rather than a flaw - if you apply too many skincare products underneath, the sunscreen can pill. But isn't this the case with almost all sunscreens? Overall, it's just pleasantly good! You don't need a separate brightening moisturizer with this sunscreen. When you apply makeup over it, it naturally evens your skin tone, which is fantastic! Even on days when you're going bare-faced, this sunscreen alone can give you a natural glow, making you look like you naturally have fair skin! (It's more of a subtle upgrade rather than an intense whitening effect.) However, be careful not to layer too many products underneath, as it can cause pilling. Keep that in mind when applying! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2021
It creates a radiant, truly beautiful complexion with a pink glow and luminosity, giving a soft-focus effect to your skin Lately, it's been pilling and even though it's a sunscreen, it clumps with emulsions or creams. I thought my skincare products were the problem and kept changing them, but it turns out it was this If you apply a moderate amount and follow with translucent powder, it looks absolutely stunning - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 11, 2020
Perfect for those lazy makeup days! It's so easy to apply, gives just the right amount of brightening, and absorbs beautifully into the skin. When your skin isn't at its best, it can sometimes pill and roll off like dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2020
It seems to have a nice brightening effect. The sun protection factor appears to be decent as well. I think it could help achieve a radiant complexion. At first, I was taken aback by how poorly it absorbed; perhaps due to dead skin cells... It really emphasized the flaky skin around my nose. It felt like it was pilling and sitting on top of the skin rather than absorbing. If you have a darker complexion, this might be quite noticeable. You'll probably need to keep patting it in to help it absorb properly. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 20, 2020
It's moisturizing and provides a subtle, natural brightening effect As you apply it, it pills on the face and clumps white on your hands. You need to apply it quickly. It gets oily very fast, making it too greasy for those with oily skin - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 28, 2020
Natural brightening effect - Foundation is too heavy and it's a hassle in the morning. Applying this after emulsion solves both brightening and sun protection in one step. Great coverage with minimal product - A small amount covers a wide area, evening out the complexion. Pilling can occur, so ensure your skincare is well-absorbed before application. If you have dead skin cells, it may clump together with them. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMay 6, 2020
The description 'moisturizing yet refreshing' fits perfectly. It has a brightening effect while also absorbing well, which exceeded my expectations and I really liked it. No blemishes appeared, and it's not irritating. If you apply too much, it can pill. For best results, pat small amounts gently to help it absorb, and it will apply smoothly and refreshingly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2020
I bought this product after watching Director Pi's review of Etude House! The ingredients are good, and it's not greasy, so I've been using it daily. I love how it brightens my skin tone like a base when applied! Even though I have blemish-prone and super sensitive skin, it suits me well, so I'm really satisfied! If I had to point out a downside, it starts to separate after about 3 hours of wear. If you have oily skin, you might experience some pilling..!! Make sure to absorb it well to prevent pilling! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2020
This is hands down the best sunscreen I've ever used! My sister and I have consistently repurchased it at least 5 times. Even though I don't apply any base makeup after this sunscreen, I've received many compliments on how good my skin looks when wearing it. I love how it moisturizes, giving a slight glow, and noticeably evens skin tone. With my fair complexion (around shade 21~19) and my sister's slightly darker tone (about 21), it brightens our skin by about one shade, resulting in a beautiful, radiant look. I'm sure I'll keep repurchasing it this year once I run out. Be careful not to apply too much if you're not a fan of heavy tone-up effects - just use a little at a time! Also, the scent isn't particularly pleasant. There's a chance it might pill slightly after wearing it for a while. I apply this product after my toner and emulsion, and if you have mild dry skin, this routine should provide sufficient hydration. Keep an eye out for occasional buy-one-get-one-free deals - that's a great time to stock up!
