Even when applied generously, there was no notable irritation or other side effects. It doesn't absorb well and feels like it's just sitting on top of the skin. It's also quite sticky. As part of my evening skincare routine, I apply it generously before bed. However, it tends to transfer onto my pillowcase, requiring daily changes, which can be a bit of a hassle. - bu*********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 10, 2025
My biggest skin concern has always been sagging pores, but I've seen amazing results with this product. With consistent use, I could visibly see an improvement in my enlarged pores. Despite containing 2% retinol, it didn't cause any irritation. It's also one of the more affordable retinol serums out there, making it a great entry-level option for those new to retinol. - When I first started using it, I really disliked the scent. - It seems you need to use it 'consistently' to see results. When I stopped using it for a while, my skin reverted back to its original state. I didn't use it daily, but rather every other day along with Lidl Shot (100). - wl*****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJan 17, 2025
Effects - Smooths fine lines, instantly improves skin texture, and I noticed my dark spots have diminished. It also has a pore-minimizing effect. Texture and application - Light, fluid-like ampoule that glides on easily. Hydration - It can draw moisture from the face, leaving it slightly dry. This is characteristic of retinol-based products. The 0.2% concentration is for intermediate to advanced users. Those with sensitive skin should be cautious as it may cause peeling, flaking, or redness. Use with knowledge and care. After applying the retinol product, allow it to absorb for about 2 minutes, then follow up with a regenerating cream. This can further support your skin's renewal cycle. - ca********Dry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 7, 2024
The retinol in the squalane oil was too greasy for me to use comfortably, but this emulsion feels light and fresh. After patting it in, it absorbs quickly without pilling. It provides light hydration and seems to be relatively gentle compared to other retinol products. Due to the nature of retinol, you need to be careful with the amount you apply (use less than you might think). Avoid applying it around the eyes and mouth. If irritation occurs, redness may persist for a few days. - yh****Combination SkinRecommendedAug 30, 2024
This product seems perfect for those looking to ease into retinol use while still getting good results! Being an emulsion rather than an oil-based formula, it feels hydrating and has a nice, firm texture. I loved how well it absorbs and how you can immediately feel its firming effect upon application. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the effects aren't particularly dramatic. Also, after application, it leaves a slightly shiny residue on the face. It goes beyond just feeling firm to being a bit sticky. It's fine to use only in the evening. Absolutely avoid using it when applying makeup! - st******Dehydrated SkinDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 29, 2024
First, there's the GranActive line and the regular Retinol line. You can think of the GranActive line as the gentler version. I've tried both lines, and since my skin has already gotten a taste of retinol, I find they all work similarly for me. Once you step into the world of retinol, you might find it hard to step out - it's that good! You can really feel your skin becoming healthier over time. With retinol products, it's best to gradually increase the concentration. If you start with a high percentage right away, you might experience excessive dead skin cell shedding. This happens because retinol promotes cell turnover, generating new skin cells and removing old waste. Since retinol accelerates this process, you may notice more dead skin cells sloughing off. Start with lower percentage products from the GranActive line and gradually increase the concentration! - df****Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2024
While I'm not sure about the results yet, I'm pleasantly surprised by how gentle this retinol product is. I was worried about irritation, but there's hardly any. The low irritation factor is absolutely fantastic! The scent is a bit off-putting. Also, it's slightly inconvenient that it needs to be stored in the refrigerator. - xq********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 4, 2024
There's a noticeable reduction in acne and skin blemishes While I didn't experience any blemishes, those with super sensitive skin should be cautious as it contains retinol - ya*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 26, 2023
After using it, I can definitely feel my skin becoming more elastic. At first, it stung a bit, but now I don't feel any discomfort at all. There's nothing I'm disappointed about, haha! I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but I have a very slight feeling that my skin might be getting a tiny bit thicker? - ki*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 7, 2023
The oily texture was perfect for my dry skin type. It contains squalane, which is similar to sebum, so it helped reduce dryness. I was worried the 2% retinoid might be irritating, but it was actually quite gentle. I even noticed a slight plumping effect on my skin. Due to its oily nature, it felt a bit heavy during the next steps of my skincare routine. Also, as this is my first time using retinol, I'm not sure if I'm seeing any real effects yet. After toner, I apply this serum and finish with a hydrating moisturizer. (I usually have blemish-prone dry skin and always use a regenerating cream, but I'm sticking to just a hydrating moisturizer after the retinol to avoid overwhelming my skin.)
