I bought this after hearing it's recommended by dermatologists for soothing and hydrating the skin after laser treatments. I use it occasionally when my skin looks blotchy. While I don't have blemish-prone skin, so I can't speak to its effectiveness on scars, it does seem to have a calming effect. I didn't experience any adverse reactions or new blemishes. As someone with dry skin, I find that when I apply it at night, I don't feel any tightness or discomfort, even without a thorough skincare routine. The hydration is satisfactory. It seems to contain some kind of calcareous ingredient, as it leaves a slight white cast when applied, similar to a mineral sunscreen. This does fade somewhat over time.

Definitely, soothing and protecting the skin barrier seems to be a good thing. It's more accurate to say that it blocks rather than replenishes moisture, and it helps the skin feel more comfortable and aids in soothing. It's convenient to use when atopic dermatitis flares up, and the lack of fragrance is also nice.
Cons

I bought this famous regenerative cream out of curiosity, as I had never used it before. I applied it for a few days on the areas where I had acne and blemish concerns, and it seemed to make them disappear faster compared to leaving them alone. I only used it as a spot treatment and didn't apply it all over my face.
