I even experienced two bouts of contact dermatitis in May and June. Realizing my skin barrier had weakened due to inadequate moisturizing during winter, I decided to try the Cicaplast without hesitation. Of course, I had already calmed the dermatitis with a steroid ointment for about three days, but I still needed to be cautious about what I applied until my skin barrier stabilized within its turnover cycle. As expected, the results were impressive. What shocked me even more was how my skin, which had been rough and dull from winter through early summer, became incredibly smooth. My skin's sensitivity also decreased significantly - the stinging sensation I used to feel when using foam cleansers or micellar water completely disappeared. Cicaplast is truly a savior... It's a holy grail product, no doubt about it.
ConsThere's nothing bad to say, except maybe the texture? It doesn't absorb well if applied directly to bare skin after cleansing or even after using a watery toner. It tends to slip and slide around. However, if you pat it in gradually in small amounts, it works just fine.

The texture is unique - a bit thick and bouncy - but once you get used to it, you'll master the application technique. On days when my skin feels tired, I always finish my routine with this product.
ConsWhile it's fine to apply this after toner, if you want to use it following a serum or ampoule, you need to wait quite a while for everything to absorb fully. Otherwise, due to its somewhat dense consistency, it doesn't spread evenly and tends to pill.

However, contrary to my concerns, it doesn't feel suffocating at all. Instead, it provides solid protection for the skin. I've tried almost every cream touted for its soothing properties, and this one stands out as the most substantial by far. Its weightiness translates to excellent hydration, making it perfect for nurturing my skin on those days when it feels particularly tired and in need of care.
ConsThe texture is quite similar to butter, so it requires some effort to fully absorb into the skin. I found myself patting it in for quite a while to ensure proper absorption.
TipA little goes a long way with this product! You'll need to use less than your usual amount of moisturizer, as even a small quantity provides full coverage for the entire face.

I bought two 100ml bottles for around 36,000 won with coupons and discounts. After reading low-rated reviews online, I decided to buy from a physical store or official site to ensure authenticity. Firstly, it has a pleasantly subtle scent. When applied, it feels like a thin, slightly oily film, making your skin feel moisturized rather than matte. It's gentle and non-irritating, making it great for addressing skin pigmentation concerns.
ConsThe absorption isn't particularly impressive. If you don't thoroughly let your previous skincare steps (toner pads, serums, ampoules) absorb, this cream might feel like it's sitting on top of your skin. Also, you tend to use more of this compared to other creams. If hydration is your top priority, you might find this lacking as a final cream step. I know someone who uses it like an ointment, applying it only to specific areas that need extra care.

Has a calming effect. Decent moisturizing power for dry skin. I bought this after hearing it's recommended by dermatologists for soothing and hydrating the skin after laser treatments. I use it occasionally when my skin looks blotchy. While I don't have blemish-prone skin, so I can't speak to its effectiveness on scars, it does seem to have a calming effect. I didn't experience any adverse reactions or new blemishes. As someone with dry skin, I find that when I apply it at night, I don't feel any tightness or discomfort, even without a thorough skincare routine. The hydration is satisfactory. It seems to contain some kind of calcareous ingredient, as it leaves a slight white cast when applied, similar to a mineral sunscreen. This does fade somewhat over time.
ConsThe texture is too thick and it doesn't absorb well. It leaves a white cast. The oily residue makes it more suitable for nighttime use rather than morning application. After applying your base skincare, when you put on the Cicapair, the initially solid cream seems to transform into a liquid upon contact with your face... It's an odd, semi-solid consistency. As you pat it in, you're left wondering what exactly you're spreading on your face - a mixture of residue and oil that's turned liquid. It takes quite a bit of effort to absorb, so I only reach for it occasionally when my skin isn't at its best due to the hassle.

My skin was acting up due to the changing seasons, but I can definitely feel my skin barrier getting stronger.
ConsIt doesn't absorb well and feels sticky, causing a lot of dust to stick to my face...
TipI find it absorbs better when mixed with a lightweight hydrating moisturizer.

It seems to fade scars, redness, and blemishes, so I apply it thicker on those areas before bed. It works wonders!
ConsIf you don't let the previous skincare step absorb completely before applying this, it feels like water and oil not mixing on your face. I'm used to it now and just keep applying until it absorbs, but it's a bit disappointing.

Cons- When applied to oily areas like the T-zone or chin, it seems to cause more whiteheads or blemishes. Those with oily skin must be careful with the amount used! - The thick consistency makes it a bit difficult to spread evenly. This also makes it challenging to control the amount applied. - It's quite rich and oily, so it takes a while to absorb into the skin.
TipFor best results, apply it like a sleeping mask on areas that need soothing before bed. You'll see great effects the next morning!

Fortunately, I didn't have severe pockmarks, but I did have significant hyperpigmentation. I resolved all my hyperpigmentation issues with this cream alone! And I'm not exaggerating one bit. That's why I recommend it to all my friends who have acne-prone skin or a lot of scars. This cream isn't meant to be applied by simply rubbing it in like a regular moisturizer. The key is absorption! That's how you can truly experience the cream's effectiveness. When I first used it, I applied it generously like a moisturizer without focusing on absorption, and it actually caused more small bumps on my face. The thick texture seemed to clog my pores. I set the cream aside after that, but then I saw a YouTube video recommending it again. I decided to give it another try, paying attention to absorption this time. To my surprise, the scars on my face started noticeably disappearing one by one! Please take my advice seriously and try it for yourself to see the results... I apply this cream after completing my hydration routine, almost like I'm coating my skin! I've been using this cream since high school, and I'm still using it in my late 20s :) For those struggling with acne and hyperpigmentation! Don't keep putting off going to the dermatologist - try managing your skin with this cream instead!
ConsThe texture is quite rich, so you need to pay attention to absorption. Otherwise, it can clog your pores and cause more blemishes!
TipAbsorption is the key to success with this product

ConsThe texture is too heavy —> It doesn't absorb well and feels like it's sitting on top of the skin.. A product to use occasionally when skin is super sensitive in winter (but the ingredients could be better)
